In my previous reviews of Cracker Barrel, I have mentioned that it's a mixed bag for every visit and that your overall experience will depend greatly on the number of stars that your server has on its apron. Today, our server (Miranda G) had no stars on her apron, and the quality of our visit was reflective of that. It took a little longer than usual to get served once seated. It was very loud inside like it usually is. We received our drinks in a relatively short amount of time but I never received my lemons for my iced tea, which I asked for on two different occasions. My chicken fried steak had no gravy on it when it was brought out. Nobody at our table received drink refills. Food was warm and tasted good for the most part. The Coca-Cola fudge cake was dry and had no ice cream on the side. We had to ask twice for a to-go box. Overall, just a very poor experience! I understand it's not always this way but today was one of the poor days.

I got the country fried steak, mashed potatoes, okra, and broccoli cheese casserole and it was all really great. I look forward to going back many times and trying more of the menu. I did online ordering and it was ready for me on time when I showed up. The restaurant appeared clean on the inside.

The atmosphere was amazing, the service was amazing and the food was definitely amazing. Cracker Barrel is definitely a place to find down home cooking at a great price. I highly recommend!

Always a great place to stop. Got my son's favorite: blueberry pancakes with a side of bacon. Abs hubby got Grandma's breakfast. Both were served promptly and tasted great. Cracker Barrel is always a sure thing on road trips.

Terry the manager is personable and friendly. His stories are Trista our sever was remarkable. I loved her nails (off topic, I know). We have eaten at 4 different Cracker Barrels in 3 different states, other than the menu fluctuating often the service is pretty much the same. The service at the Tulsa Hills location was expertly better'er. During this stressful time, the management team realizes it is all about the customers. We will return.

We had the fried chicken the country fried steak. It was delicious. I don't think this location deserves the low rating it has.

Decided to ask the former fire chief for a recommendation and he said try Crossroads Cookery. Our friends wanted to go antiquing so this was right in the heart of Sapulpa's antique area, so perfect place for lunch. I really enjoyed all the care they took with making it feel nostalgic but classy at the same time. It's a lovely restaurant but they also have an ice cream parlor area, bar and coffee bar. Now the food was ok for some of us and one in our party got a way overcooked burger that was dry so it sucked for her. My Santa Fe bowl was so good and I recommend it. Hubby got the string onions for the table to share and they were delicious. Our server was really interesting and friendly as well as took care of us. We'll definitely go back during the Christmas Chute!

You know when you kind of love a place so much you almost don't want the whole world to find out…read moreabout it? That was this place for me. I had noticed it before when visiting the Christmas Chute, but the reviews were a little mixed so we never gave it a try. Fast forward to this weekend when we got invited to a birthday at the speakeasy upstairs... and I'm so glad we finally went. First of all -- they're doing a great job with the speakeasy concept because I genuinely had no idea it was there. It's upstairs above the restaurant and you need a code word to get in. Since we were already there, we decided to have dinner first and the menu honestly surprised me in the best way. It's very much Southern comfort food, but elevated a bit. The vibe inside is eclectic and interesting. The staff was super friendly, and even on a Saturday night it wasn't overly busy. The new streets in Sapulpa look great now that the construction is finished, but because most of the parking is behind the buildings the street can look like a ghost town even when places are actually busy. Kind of a weird illusion. They start you off with bread and a trio of fresh butters which was unexpected and delicious. The bread itself wasn't anything fancy, but the butter definitely was. I wasn't very hungry, so I ordered from the kids menu (which I very much appreciated did not say "12 and under"). I got a grilled cheese and the waitress suggested adding a cup of tomato bisque. Yes please. Both were excellent. My husband ordered the grilled chicken and said it was moist and really good. They also have a full bar and a huge coffee bar, which I thought was a fun touch. Then we headed upstairs to the speakeasy and it's a whole different vibe up there. Very cool space. Also extremely eclectic. Think Tommy Bahama meets world traveler's curio cabinet. There were travel finds from around the world displayed in cases, parrot chandeliers, a baby grand piano, and a cheetah print pool table. It somehow all works. Live music was by Steve Lindell and he was fantastic. Two thumbs up. Bar service was great, just a little slow -- but to be fair I don't think they were expecting a 40-person birthday group to roll in all at once. All in all it was a fantastic night. If it wasn't about 45 minutes from my house, we would probably be regulars. But maybe it's okay if it stays just a little bit of a hidden gem.

My family and I ordered $55 worth of food, two chicken sandwiches, 2 Mac n cheese kids meals (that was not actually a meal and did not include sides nor drinks). The sandwiches were sad and the quality was about the standard of McD's. The kids Mac n cheese were basically kraft mac n cheese with chopped up nuggets on top and a very minimal sprinkle of bacon on top. The whole thing was honestly dissatisfying. The part that bothered me the most was that after paying $55 for this, we didn't even get a sauce to dip our fries in, that was an extra cost. And the lemonade in which we paid over $3 for and was advertised as "freshly squeezed" was most certainly not. Over all, I can say we won't come back here for the food.
