I am so dang excited we have a crab boil near us and it's GOOD. Alright, a wee bit pricey but the flavor is there and it's seafood which all adds up in my mind. We got fried okra, fried catfish basket and a boil bag with garlic butter and old bay seasoning. The boil bag we picked crawfish, snow crab clusters and it comes with literally a couple potatoes and two half corn cobs... that part was disappointing there should have been way more potatoes and corn in my opinion for the price. We'll definitely be back but for the fried side! The fried okra was amazing and same for the catfish which can sometimes taste dirty but it was fresh. Fries were on point ranch, zing sauce and tarter all so good. The dining area is massssssive. Like so large everyone needs to go and check it out to fill the dining room up! read more

Gave this place another shot over the weekend because I wanted to love it. Score. Service was great and the food was ample and delicious. Maybe my last visit was during an off day. Anyway, so happy to have this up in north county so we don't have to make a long trip south or north. Had the combo 4, added snow crab, scallops and Cajun fries. All delicious. There are some similarities when it comes to varieties of food, but the FLAVOR AND SEASONING? service? AND the space for this location? 10/10. You'll see me here again. (Inserts emoji) For the times I've been here, service has been great! The staffs are pretty friendly. And, the plus side of it is how knowledgeable the staffs are with their menu! The recommendations I've tried here has been yummy! We normally order our pound of crawfish and shrimps separately, but the staff recommended we do the combo. Which it comes with your choice of 3lbs worth of crawfish, shrimp, mussel, or clam. It was definitely a bang for your buck! She recommended if we go for our usual medium spice level to take it down 1/2 a notch, cause it was pretty spicy. Although our spice level is pretty high, I'm glad we listened so we could enjoy our food more comfortably. We also ordered a dozen of raw oysters. They were pretty tasty, but it didn't satisfy that touch. I would recommend starting off with half a dozen before the whole sha bang. Other than that, I would try it again. This location is pretty spacious, btw. They have tables that are pretty spaced out from each other. Good enough for kids, family dinners, and even a party room with a karaoke system. Sooo cool if you ask me! I would definitely recommend this location if you're up in the north county area looking for seafood boil. DON'T SLEEP ON THIS PLACE. Just got finished with my 5th visit to this restaurant. It is phenomenal. The crab pulls are the best I've ever had and the taste in second only to Vegas's Hot n Juicy. I have been there 3 times and I keep wanting to go back. They have such a variety of options, you really cannot go wrong here! I have gotten their shrimp and mussels pub style 1/2 medium. I usually get medium spicy level at other seafood boil places and a waiter recommended the 1/2 medium because it's spicy and I 100% agree. I like a little kick, but don't want to be sweating at the end of my meal. The wing appetizer is small, don't expect full size wings. The flavor was good though! I don't think I would get it again though. The sampler is well worth the money! So so much food! And you get to try a little bit of everything! We could barely finish it in between 6 people. It comes with all the sauces too: marinara, ranch, tarter, spicy mayo, and ketchup. The restaurant is hugeeeee as well! This is a fun place, it's new and the first of its kind in Oceanside. It's now an official spot that my little bro and my mum go to bond and have great sea food. The staff is friendly. The moment we walked in, the staff was friendly and inviting. This is the second time we've been and the staff is on par with politeness and kindness. Our waitress this time was very nice! And even gave us some helpful recommendations. We got the crab poppers for staters which was nice, was the perfect spicy level for me. I love the dipping sauce that came with it. For the entree we 2 pounds shrimp, 1 pound clams and 1 pound mussels all with Old Bay Garlic Seasoning. We also got 1/2 extra of the sausage and corn. We got an extra Pub sauce on the side for extra dipping. It was so tasty! We ended up ordering another pound of shrimp it was so good. As for the price, it was not bad. It does get a little pricy but that is expected with seafood places I think. The quality is nice and the food is prepared perfectly not to mention quick. We waited but not long. If you're in Oceanside, CA looking for some seafood this is your place. Friendly service, delicious food and lovely intimate atmosphere. First time visiting this place and I will say i was a little put off and worried about the dining experience due to the area it's located in. I can tell you my concerns went away quickly once we entered and especially when the food arrived. It is On Par if not better then boiling crab and Hot and juicy flavor wise. We would make the drive to Mira Mesa frequently and deal with the lines just to get our fix. I am a little sad knowing once this place catches on there will probably be long lines waiting to get in but I am excited to not have to drive far North or South to get my crawfish fix. I know they just opened up, and being honest I am so glad they have. I am pretty particular and picky when it comes to sea food (spoiled growing up on east coast), and this place blew it out of the water. I added a few photos from our dinner tonight (there was four of us). We had two number two combos, and a extra cluster. They were seasoned "pub style" at a 1/2 medium heat range, and I can not say enough good things about how well it tasted. It took exactly 29 minutes to get our food from the moment he walked away with the order. Fyi not bad for how busy they were as ever seat was filled at that point. They do have beer and wine for sale but we did not partake in that adventure. They waiters and waitresses were all literally brand new as in first time serving, and they did pretty good for it as well. There were a couple hiccups on that end but ironed out by the completion of our dinner. I 100% recommend this place, and do believe it may be my new favorite in the area for seafood. The best part is how you're able to just dump the food all over the table, make a mess, and they provide gloves and bibs to make the experience even better. I WILL BE BACK...... read more

It's been a while since I posted, but Crab Pub in Oceanside had to get a good one from me!! Just had my birthday dinner there, it was fantastic! The wife and I both picked our pounds and sides, vice choosing a combo option, though I've had a few of those and they have always been great. Between us we got shrimp, head on and headless, scallops, clams and mussels. Corn and sausage for add ons. I got the Old Bay Butter Garlic sauce, she got the less spicy Butter Garlic. Food came fast, staff were very attentive. I could say it was a bit pricey, but being aware of real prices and inflation, the food and service came at a great price. There was a LOT of fat, jumbo shrimp in those bags! Overall a great dining experience, we'll keep going back. read more

This was my 3rd time coming here. I ordered the shimp poboy, 2 calamari plates and the cajon pasta with shrimp and sausage. We had our grandkids with us..so the calamari didn't even look like calamari it was the toughest I've ever had. Sent them back.the poboy was no good the shimp was over cooked and burnt. I found this crab pub on Yelp due to its high ratings. They desired high ratings. First the place odd very clean. We were greeted quickly and brought to our seat. The server explained the process. This is a traditional Cajun seafood boil restaurant. If you have trouble with delicious seafood, it's not for you. The boils after brought to the table and poured onto the paper table cloth. I am not a huge seafood lover. I do like shrimp cocktails, theirs is fantastic. Large chilled shrimp with a delicious cocktail sauce. I think 8 shrimp. I also had the saucy chicken wings, they were not breaded, which is good and delicious. I wish and suggest they put a couple more non seafood choices on the menu. We will come back. My sons and daughter took me here for my birthday. They had eaten here a couple times already and highly recommended it. Since they were paying, sure sounds good to me lol. They, not me, ordered me the combo #5 (1 King Crab Leg, 1 Snow Crab Leg [cluster], and your choice of 2 lbs of Seafood [Choose from Crawfish, Headless Shrimp, Mussels, and Clams] - I had a 1/2 pound of each)... BURP! Everyone else had different combos or po' boy sandwiches. They also ordered a few appetizers: Fried Pickles, Fried Okra and Crab Poppers. My only input was to request their Old Bay/Garlic seasoning be added at a medium heat (spicy) level (okay I got to select my own beers). The service was prompt and efficient. The bibs they provide are a must. Be careful cracking open the shelled items as they may spurt towards someone sitting next to you, like I did to my wife (oops). I enjoyed the seasoning / heat level I selected and all the seafood tasted good (the medium heat/spice level did not detract from the individual items). Yes, I ate the whole pile delivered to me; as well as sampled the 3 noted appetizers. The appetizers were okay, but nothing jumped out at me that would cause me to order them in the future should I return. The wife enjoyed her po' boy catfish sandwich plate, but stated she has had better. I felt the $85 for my combo (#5) was pretty steep and I doubt my cheap ass, albeit I "could" afford it, would pay that much for it. Happy Birthday to me, by my family! My number one complaint, albeit I did not pay for my meal, was they added an 18% "service" charge onto the bill. The fine print states this happens when 6+ people are together. I call BS on this type of charge, unless it is a group of (MAYBE) 8+ requiring more than one server to attend to a larger group full time. We had five adults and a 3 year old who was ordered nothing more the french fries. Really??? It was not noticed until after my generous son added a 20% tip and paid the bill that stretched well over $500. read more

Found this place while searching for oysters near me. So glad we tried it out. It's a gem. Oysters were fresh and delicious. For dinner, we had the first option with shrimp (heads on), clams and mussels. The spice level is on point. And flavor is very creole and Cajun. Service was 5 stars. Friendly atmosphere and our server kept an eye on us to make sure we were doing well. My only complaint with the combo seafood meals is they could add more corn and potatoes. I believe we only had 2 small potatoes and a corn that was broken in half to make 2 pieces. Otherwise I'm glad there is finally a good seafood place in oceanside at a decent price. Well, let me start off by saying that we really enjoyed this place. We used to live in the South and used to get crab and shrimp boils all the time from the Gulf of Mexico, and this was really good. It was different from a Louisiana boil, but the seafood was great. The sauce was just a little different. The decor of the place was interesting. You could clearly tell it was a Chinese buffet before the kinda tacky ocean decor got hung. Our waitress was helpful and had great recommendations. If its a first date, y'all gonna get messy, if you make it through this messy meal to a second date, heck you'll probably get married cause the two of you can handle just about anything! read more
