A crabby pub in the valley!! Finally got a chance to come check this place out and get my hands dirty! I've been craving a good seafood boil lately and this place definitely hit the spot. So I'll keep short and sweet. The restaurant is big with plenty of seating and paper covering every table ready for you to make a mess. They have a small bar and a pretty nice selection of different beers on tap and in the bottle. The staff was friendly and the owner even came by and said hi. Went straight for the boils! I got the number 4 with a pound of king crab and a pound of shrimp. Comes with 2 small corn cobs, a few potatoes and some sauasage slices. For the sauce I got the crab pub sauce which is a mix of cajun, lemon pepper and garlic butter I believe. Sauce was good and I would probably stick to it next time I come back. Went with half medium on the spice level and it was pretty spicy this particular night. I'm glad I didn't get the medium, my buddy said it was kickin. All said and done it was very good and satisfying! Theres probably more I could add but I wanna go back again already lol. The price is up there but I wouldn't expect anything like this to be cheap these days. Garlicky goodness! Thoroughly enjoyed our food. I'm really nit picking here because everything was very flavorful, and fresh! The sauce was really nice, just wish it was cooked/reduced more as some of the garlic was still a little raw. Also, wished the sausage was cut thick. It was cut too thin, and absorbed too much of the sauce, losing its flavor. Nice lil area very clean inside. A few suggestions. Please provide paper towels in the bathroom. The dispensers didn't dispense enough soap, had to keep pressing them. Sinks turned off half way through hand washing. My son got the combo#2 and I went with straight crab legs. I got the old Bay garlic butter that stuff is crack! it was sooo good! there was zero wait time as we rolled in at dinner time on a weekend so that was nice. the place is very large and clean inside. The service was on point and she had a few good suggestions. decent craft beer selection too. My son got a spicy boil and he said it was kicking but good. its a bit pricey but in line with a crab boil place. They need to put more potatoes and corn in the boil as well as sausage they were a bit lite on those items. All in all its a solid place to get your seafood boil fix. read more

But I do need to advise people, the shrimp are not "debombed" or whatever you call it. It's just very very off putting, especially since you pay an extra $3 for it... Finally got to check out this seafood boil spot & it did not disappoint! The servers were all very nice, the restaurant is huge, the music was great & the food was delicious. Went there a while ago on a Saturday afternoon. Ordered a variety of items, had the fried oysters and my wife and I did not like the taste. Then the server suggested grilled oysters which weren't as strong of a flavor as the fried ones. We have ate grilled oysters before in Florida but these were different, maybe different oysters. I just left this place about 2 mins ago & This place is disgusting. My boyfriend & I got the COMBO #1 (Mild) First off, The seasoning/sauce tastes old. The "pork sausage" is paper thin & they give you 4 slices. The corn is like 2 inches. The eggs are 2.50 each, you would think they would have extra large eggs for it being that price. NOOO. So very small. We paid 10$ for 4 eggs that you could finish it with one bite. Also, their rice is probably 1-2 days old, not fresh at all. I'm asian/filipino so I know what fresh rice taste like. This place is huge! They have a big open main room with a bar and TVs all around, and two other rooms. I asked if they take reservations, and they said yes, but there's no need since they have so much room. Jams from the the 2000s were playing (Kesha, Pitbull, Neyo). The food was solid. Basically same concept and options as Crab Hut (my fave), not quite as good, but that's a high bar to meet. They're certainly better than some other places in SD, and more than good enough being the only seafood boil place in the area. First time into the Crab Pub today! Our hostess told us they opened 5 days ago. Upon walking in, the place is very big & spacious; tons of seating which is great for when this place starts to pick up. There was no line and we were seated immediately (they let us pick where we want to sit probably because there wasn't a wait). They menu is a little different than what I'm used to at a seafood boil place meaning that there are combos for the seafood boil bags & the other places I've gone too I just order the seafood by the pound; which is still an option to do here at crab pub. We got the crawfish & they were not very clean/ deveined at all. The shrimp with the heads on we're more clean and deveined than the crawfish. The pub style sauce is very underwhelming. It doesn't look very appealing in color either. The corn was good and the sampler was pretty good too, huge sampler FYI 3 of us were eating it and we only got through half of it. I also didn't like how one boiled egg was $2; at my usual place it's $4 for three boiled eggs. The restaurant looked very clean inside and the servers were really nice. We did have to ask for our bill, but no big deal. Overall, I would eat here again because it is super close to home. We were so happy that this place was opening up not far from our house. I was telling my husband we needed a restaurant like this in our area. We decided to go here today for dinner. Well, let me start off by saying that we really enjoyed this place. We used to live in the South and used to get crab and shrimp boils all the time from the Gulf of Mexico, and this was really good. So happy that a seafood boil place has opened up in oceanside because now instead of driving down to san diego, it's 5 minutes away from home. I have to say that the quality of the food is always consistent when I go there and it HITS. I always 9/10 times get their mussels with the house sauce (all the sauces combined), spicy, potatoes + sausages. Their spice levels is actually true to scale (I love super spicy food and will try their too spice level one day hah). The price is reasonable and you pay for what you get basically. The staff there are all so lovely and nice. I definitely think this is my to-go seafood boil place. The little blue haired server was friendly and attentive without being annoying. The food was amazing. I'm not a muscle guy, so.... double up the clams? No problem.
