    Egg sandwich with potatoes
    Jessica C.

Don't judge a book by its cover. This little diner is surprising; I was a little worried when we walked in. It's essentially grandma's basement and a one woman show. The owner (assuming) was a very sweet lady. We were staying at a hotel right across the street and visited around brunch time on a Saturday. Fiancé ordered a bacon and sausage breakfast sandwich, which was pretty delicious. The potatoes on the side looked freshly cut and pan fried with some yummy seasoning. I ordered the hot ham and cheese on a croissant, which also tasted very fresh and flaky. I got a side of fruit, which came with banana slices, grapes, apple slices, and orange slices. I could hear her chopping the fruit in her kitchen so I know if was as fresh as it gets. The coffee was delicious and freshly ground. I also got the honey ginger iced tea and it was amazing; such a nice ginger flavor. The prices were very reasonable. I will say that if you're in a hurry, you might want to skip this place. We would definitely visit again!

This subterranean American-Korean shop was absolutely delicious, made fresh right then and there in minutes by a lovely lady. Stopped here for brunch with the family and everything from the sausage and egg sandwich to Asian noodle dishes were simply outstanding. Catered to our picky eater, vegetarian, and omnivore. Hole in the wall one person shop, and it's like you're in their dining room, so may require some patience.

This place is a surprising little hole-the-wall. They mostly serve brunch food but also have a wonderful Asian menu with mostly Korean dishes. I got the Chap Chae, and some ginger tea. I was not disappointed. Street parking only. They only take cash. There is a Seven-Eleven down the street with atm though if you are in need.

tofu donburi was amazing and full of flavor! I love the ginger honey tea as well. It's a small restaurant but worth trying.

We popped in right at 7 one morning before work and actually beat the server and the hostess there. The staff was friendly and mostly left us alone but for frequent coffee refills, and the food was about what I expected from a restaurant that is basically a different version of IHOP. The bacon was thick and crispy and way better quality than anticipated and the over easy eggs were cooked perfectly, which is rare. The protein and buckwheat pancakes were nice surprises on the menu and were quite tasty. The neighborhood has a dearth of true weekday breakfast places, and this is a nice option. It's also huge and could easily accommodate a large crowd.

Ordering the Florentine Benadict fresh tomato, spinach, and the best hollandaise sauce I've tasted. It comes with a side of french toast, made with fresh brioche brought it daily from a Baltimore bakery. Thick cut and the center tasted like creamy custard, paired with homemade strawberry syrup and fresh whipped cream. We also tried the Shrimp Skillet, fresh jumbo shrimp on potatoes with avocado, spinach, peppers and two eggs your way. There is a wide selection of all things delicious on the menu that will definitely have us coming back for more!! Our server Kate was awesome!! She made excellent and honest recommendations such as the Florentine Benedict hyping the up French toast as it deserves. OPH closes daily at 2:30 but you'll want to get there early, certain menu items are made to order and will be a 30 - 45 minute wait. They are also happy to accommodate large parties!

I was a little put off that all of the seating is booths, which can be a little uncomfortable to the people I dine with, who prefer more space between themselves and a fixed table. We were told to seat ourselves. We did. it took a couple minutes for us to be acknowledged by one of the five or so servers who were bustling about. Service was friendly and fairly attentive. The Maryland Cab soup was good, with a lot of crab and a decent amount of spiciness. I had a French dip type sandwich with fries. I asked for my fries to be extra crispy, they were served kind of soggy and cold. The au jus for my sandwich was literally cold. That said, the food was basic but good. This is a standard decent diner. I don't know what the reviewer who said this place is in "the hood" is talking about. It's on a well-lit strip of road with car dealerships all over. No need to stress over the location at all.

I chose corned beef hash with scrambled cheese eggs and home fries. My bf ordered bacon, scrambled eggs, home fries, and French toast. The meals also come with toast; they let you choose if you want it. My bf got his side of toast. I skipped it because I knew I'd be too full. The home fries weren't my favorite. They cook them with onions which isn't my preference (but easy to pick around and I'm sure I could have asked for them without), and they also just didn't have a lot of flavor to me. The corned beef hash was good, nice and crispy. The eggs were fluffy and had a generous amount of cheesy goodness. I tasted my bf's French toast and bacon, both of those were good. Overall, this is a cool spot to check out and enjoy the classic diner vibe!

Kay's Diner is a nostalgic, cozy Black-owned diner in Baltimore. As soon as I entered, I felt the love! The owner Kay and the manager Sheim are frequently walking around checking in on their guests. We sat next to a couple regulars who were known by the employees by name. It stands out a lot to me when a business has regulars that are treated like family. They offer counter-top seating as well as a few booths. The menu is extensive offering way more than classic diner breakfast, lunch & dinner. I ordered the French toast combo with a side of potatoes. It was a satisfying meal overall! Eggs were fried hard with cheese, potatoes were well seasoned, bacon was crispy! My only distaste is that they used regular bread rather than brioche for their French toast. The flavor on the French was amazing, it's topped with a cinnamon sugar butter. I washed everything down with an amazing Arnold Palmer. The Perfect balance of tea and lemonade. The coco bread was buttery and light, a delicious treat. My friend and I decided to share one their fresh pressed seamoss juices. It was good! -Customer service is amazing! The employees really treat you like family. -Free street parking available close by. -Countertop and booth seating. Plenty of TVs. -Prices are average. French toast combo was $14.99. I'll definitely be a regular here. I hope you enjoy!
