Beautiful mural as you wait for your table on the rooftop patio.

We had a wonderful experience at Coyote Cantina, enjoying their rooftop patio and the beautiful Santa Fe atmosphere. We tried the Noteno and Salty Senorita margaritas, both making for a refreshing start to our visit. The chips and fire-roasted salsa were the perfect accompaniment, with the salsa adding a delicious smoky kick. The rooftop setting made the experience even better, offering a relaxed, inviting spot to enjoy great drinks and casual bites. Coyote Cantina is a great choice for anyone looking to unwind on a rooftop patio while soaking up the charm of Santa Fe.

Grabbed lunch during our day trip to Santa Fe. The food was amazing! Ximena (our waitress) was amazing and knowledgeable about the menu. We had chimi as starter then shared chicken verde enchiladas and humita (sweet corn tamale). Of course we have to try one of their signature cocktails - salty senorita - which was delicious!! Definitely check this place out if you are in Santa Fe.

I was rather confused about the two Coyote restaurants joining together. And quite frankly, I significantly refer the Cafe menu more than the Cantina menu. The cantina menu is small and almost everything is basic except for the griddled corn cakes which I haven't had before. The service was alright with water refilled when requested, not automatically. The area is cute and an overlook of Santa Fe Square. Food is overall average and way pricey. The salsa and chips are $8 with no refill 1/5. The griddle corn cakes are covered in hot sauce and shrimp. It was edible but not overly delicious. 3/5 The nacho is drown in toppings which is good. I have no complaint. 5/5. I would take people here for drinks but maybe not food.

**** Service 0/10 Food 7/10 Drink 2/10 It was my worst experience so far. When we first walked in, we asked if we could sit outside or not and the waitress at the front said that "if you want to cancel you need to do it 48 hours ahead" although we did not mention anything about canceling, and of course they gonna charge us the no show fee. Then the food came super slow. As soon as the waiter put the dessert plate on the table, he mentioned that he needed the table for the next group without informing us about 2-hour time limit when we 1st walked in. Only our waitress is the nice person that she felt so sorry for us. Almost 500$ with auto charged tip for 5 people. Urgggg, never again!!!!!

After wandering around Santa Fe, we walked past Coyote Cantina and decided to pop in for a drink! It was the middle of the day Friday and their rooftop cantina had about a 15 minute wait for a table if 5. Not long after our wait, we were seated under a shaded area at a high top! The view was great & it's definitely a vibe being on the roof! It was pretty well shaded all around. I can't remember the name of our server but he was super attentive & checked up on a us regularly. We all got a cocktail which were delicious and decided to share an order of their nachos. We subbed chicken for our nachos and it came with an extra plate of chopped chicken on the side! Definitely a solid amount of food for 5 people to share! The red chile on their nachos was SO good! I can't stop thinking about it.

It was slightly windy night Sunday night. I asked the server to help me choose between two different drinks and he helped me settle on the house margarita with salty lime foam and it was fantastic! And seeing as how, I am a spice weenie I also asked him to help me understand what is not spicy on the menu. He told me several things were and I chose the Al Pastor tacos and they were fabulous. The pineapple was a wonderful delight. My friend and I started with the queso and the house made chips for delightfully salty. My friend had the hot buttered rum which she said was the best she'd had and tasted like a home made mix, not a premix. Overall we had a great experience at the rooftop cantina!

We were in Santa Fe for the day. and wanted to grab a bite to eat. What was interesting is when we googled this place we initially saw pictures for what we would later find out was the Coyote Café located downstairs. We arrived on a Saturday at 3 PM and wore directed upstairs for food. The hostess inner phone. I guess she was not on the clock yet. She didn't even ask us if we were there for the café or the Cantina or explain that there are two different restaurants. She just immediately directed us upstairs once we said we were there to dine. We were told the café didn't open until 5 PM so we dined at the cantina. I kept it simple and ordered some chips and queso and a chicken quesadilla. I asked for onions thinking they would grill it and add it to my quesadilla but instead they just gave me a side of dice raw onions. That was a little disappointing. The quesadilla was okay but nothing to write home about. I ate one piece and left the rest. Not having the grilled onions in it, ruined the experience for me. Our server was Tom and he was pretty friendly and knowledgeable. My company patronized the bar, and Tom was very knowledgeable about the drinks and even spent some time giving us some information on the area since we were visiting from out of town. We expressed that we were killing time until the café opened downstairs because my company really wanted muscles and that was not on the menu in the Cantina, but it was on the menu in the café. I think the cantina is perfect if you're just looking for a place to have a few drinks and an appetizer, I wouldn't necessarily come here hungry trying to curb my appetite. If you're into enchiladas and tacos you'll enjoy it. It's not my preferred cuisine. I think it's also worth mentioning that we shared that it was my company's birthday, and Tom had some churros that came with a side of caramel and chocolate delivered to our table, which was a nice touch.

Ended our night at Coyote Cafe Rooftop Cantina and it was the perfect way to close out a Santa Fe evening. The rooftop vibe alone is worth it--great energy, relaxed crowd, and just enough buzz without feeling packed or chaotic. It's the kind of place where you can actually enjoy the moment, not just rush through it. I ordered the Blackberry Cobbler cocktail and it was outstanding. Super well-balanced--slightly tart from the blackberry, smooth from the rye, and finished with a light citrus foam that tied everything together. Not overly sweet, not too heavy--just a clean, refreshing drink that still had some depth. You can tell the bar knows what they're doing. Service was quick and friendly, and drinks came out fast even with a good crowd. If you're looking for a lively rooftop spot with great cocktails to end your night in Santa Fe, this is the go to.

Came here as part of a tour. Had a margarita and steak soft taco. Very Nice. Has a cafe inside below.

We were able to get seated right away for a Thursday lunch. The cantina outdoor patio was very cool. Our server was quick and helpful. My prickly pear margarita was delicious. Queso was velveeta, so that was a miss. I tried a traditional Frito pie, and it was pretty good.

The rooftop was nice. They can't really accommodate big parties on the rooftop so we all sat separately amongst four tables. The servers were very sweet. My friend had gotten the ceviche and in her second bite there was a long hair in the ceviche and in her mouth and just grossed her out for the rest of her meal. I had the Baja fish tacos and they were really yummy. They gave us a tres leches which was really good. The watermelon margarita and mojito were yummy.

Must try patio! Really delicious food. Sat on the patio at first, then it started raining and was easily moved inside. The drinks were delicious, mocktail and cocktail. My bf had the green chili burger with onion rings and he loved it. I ordered their nachos-- and the meat was super tender. It was flavorful throughout, honestly best nachos I've had.

The topped the burrito with green and red sauce... delicious!!! The flour tortillas were warm and soft awesome. As for the service... not good! The bartender is a rockstar, but the other server was not good. Forgot to give our drink order, forgot we asked for water, and forgot the beer I ordered. Actually, the food made up for it! Would never come back again. ============= This review got flagged by Yelp HQ, let me rewrite this and be clear of what happened. I walked into El Callejon Taqueria and Grill, located on 208 Galisteo St Santa Fe, NM 87501 on Aug 22 2026. It was on a Saturday night, right before 9pm. This was my first weekend in the city of Santa Fe, on both Yelp and Google this location shows the restaurant closes at 11pm. When I walked in the bartender told me that it was closed. I wouldn't care that a business is closed before the listed hours; it was the way the bartender went about it. He could have politely told me that the kitchen was closed, and I would not have had any problem with it. He walked up to me within arm's length and continuously repeated "sorry we are closed" multiple times while getting closer to me. It was one of the worst experiences I have had to get escorted "asked" out of a restaurant. The experience was not good. To be clear I never get to try the food here.

Kind and quick - Parking: onsite lot, gets very crowded Came to Tomasita's on a Monday night while visiting my friend in Santa Fe. They don't take reservations and although it was very busy we were seated within 10 minutes. My friends raved about the "swirl" margaritas (Santa Fe classic, apparently) so we got a frozen margarita flight. We were able to adjust the drinks in the flight- they even made me a frozen spicy margarita although that wasn't technically on the menu. Very helpful wait staff. We shared the flautas and loaded nachos. Both were rich but fantastic. We asked for both with a side of green chiles (highly recommend). The flautas came with sopaipillas which were fresh, soft and YUMMY. (They even brought two more when we asked!) This is a vibrant place to come for special occasions or even a nice family dinner. Highly recommend especially if you're visiting!

Both times, there was what felt like a herd of people speed walking in a marathon style to get there first. I can see why it's a local favorite. The food is pretty good. The Food: New Mexican Enchilada Suiza Generous portion. The chicken was moist and flavorful. That green chili sauce on the enchiladas was bursting with flavor! The beans were average. The squash had a certain seasoning that I wasn't a fan of. Bowl of chili Generous portion. The mild did not taste mild. It was super spicy and delicious! Kid's enchilada It was good, but not my daughter's favorite. She only took a few bites after filling up on the beans. My daughter LOVES beans. She said they were good, but have had much better. Sopapillas This is where is at!!! OMG!!! Some of THE BEST sopapillas that I've ever had!! They come with a delightful honey butter and a bottle of honey. I would come back just for the sopapillas!!! Flour tortillas Not good. We're used to the Mexican style recipe that are fluffy and tasty. These were NOT fluffy or tasty. My kids said they weren't good at all. I tried a bite and agreed. House Margarita They did not hold back with the tequila! It was delicious! The Margarita mixture was perfect! Not too sweet and not overpoweringly strong. Beer Very limited selection. They had three IPAs and DosXX. I was expecting at least a tiny variety. Service: Service was a bit slow, but that's understandable due to the high volume of customers. We were part of a train arrival rush. The waitress was friendly enough, but could tell that she was feeling a bit stressed. Overall experience We will be back. The food was pretty good.
