Additionally, COX sent out two repair men and they did absolutely nothing to resove the issues. I have spent hours over the past week trying to resolve the issues to no avail. DON'T USE COX. I have called for a technician to come find the problem 7 times. Every time I have to start back at square one with the newest technician. Our latest tech offered his personal phone number saying that he would come out of this latest attempt to fix our problem failed. Sure enough, it failed. I called the last tech who promptly sent me back to the 1-800 number. I feel like this problem is just a little too complicated for the technicians working at Cox Communications. I hope that you will have better luck than we have.

The two employees I spoke with told me that, in order to receive the equipment and service at the price I was quoted when signing up online, I would have to add a mobile phone line. I explained that I had never signed up for mobile service and only wanted the internet plan I had already selected. Despite this, I was told that my monthly bill would essentially double if I did not add a phone line. This felt like a misleading sales tactic and an unnecessary attempt to upsell me on a service I never requested. Rather than continue dealing with the situation, I contacted customer service directly and arranged to have my equipment shipped to me.

Easily the worst Cox store in America. I came here on Saturday to get a modem for my move (since…read moreyou can't take them with you which I still don't understand). The guy is nice, the line is short, of course there's a roach. I had set up my Internet to stop and start on Monday, the guy then tells me "oh we can set that up for tomorrow" I'm like awesome thanks. Tomorrow comes... no internet. I'm on the phone for 20 minutes, turns out he never submitted the request so cox transfers me to tech solutions (why the person on the phone couldn't help is beyond me). I wait for 15 minutes, no answer. I decide I'll just wait until Monday. Monday comes. Still no Internet. I call they say the modem isn't set to my account. Okay weird no one noticed this before. He transfers me to tech solutions. I'M ON HOLD FOR 35 MINUTES. I finally get someone from tech. After 30 MINUTES ON THE PHONE he says he needs to get his supervisor because there's an error. He then tells me THE MODEM CANT SUPPORT A LEGACY PLAN. I HAVE TO GO BSCK TO THE STORE AND GET ANOTHER MODEM. So all in all, just let someone set up the internet for you bc everyone at the store is incompetent. I wish I could rate this place a zero.

We were there about two hours with a wonderful young man named Caesar. He is very talented, educated and thorough when it comes to dealing with another service provider and moving the service. Consumer Cellular didn't make it easy but Caesar knew how to navigate around their process and set our new service up in my name. He helped me with Equifax as well to temporarily lift a freeze on my credit report so Cox could run a credit check. It was interesting watching him move quickly and smoothly on our phones and his computer navigating the various screens. He's fast, efficient and knowledgeable. I love this location Everyone who works here is wonderful and customer service oriented. I will use this location anytime I need service.

They appeared to have three or four staff working. Nobody said anything when I walked in. They told people that came in after me to sign in. I'm not sure how long all the waits were, and the check in kiosk wasn't helpful at letting you know. Surprise, they have a check in after you enter that just says Hello on the front. Apparently you can get Cox Mobile as low as $30 per line for up to five lines. The black Friday steal allows you to get an iPhone 17 Pro on them with eligible trade in, must be why the sales person kept trying to get me to get one. I wasn't impressed with the assistance online, so I wasn't expecting much from the store. After my name was called the person tried to sell me a phone. I know it would lower my price, but I don't need an additional phone, even a burner though I'm sure some people could use that. They've got music playing pretty loud, so I couldn't hear the associate too well. Once my name was called, about twenty minutes later, I spent about five minutes with the associate. I need to return my old modem within 10 days, but he told me I could just pay for it. I'm sure my many years of renting it paid for a couple of them.

Not a joke, & not being dramatic. That is what they do, they told me. The customer service is terrible, and yes they INSIST you chat with the AI bot first. Like, there isnt a way around it, insist. From the AI and condescending "help" agents back in 2025, to the great 2026 "Spectrum merger", there has never been a good interaction with these people. I know, they are the biggest and baddest Corporation in the area. . They use xfinity's same routers and stuff too. They are rich and capable and have all the possible tools at their disposal. They're capable of solving your issue, they just dont care to. At all. Find another way to access internet.
