Just left this location at bell towne center. Ted was extremely helpful!! My husband had called cox to cancel our cable and up our internet speed. The gal on the phone said the cost would go up to 99.99 and our speed would be 50 (not sure what that means ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) I walked in and was greeted by multiple friendly faces, Ted took our old modem and brought out a new one, looked up our account, asked if I knew the cost was going up, I said I did. He paused for a moment and then responded with "I'm gonna lower it and raise your speed from 50 to 100". OK!!! I'll take it! We've been happy with cox for a couple years now, but realized we weren't watching as much TV anymore so we just decided to switch to internet. Apparently the modem was already assigned to another resident at the apartment. I talked to the manager (Gabe) who assured me that he would call the other person (whoever it was), to figure this out for me. Gabe NEVER called me back to give me any updates. INSTEAD, someone in the store decided to MAKE A NEW MODEM PURCHASE under my account FRAUDULENTLY, and now I'm dealing with a $349.99 bill BECAUSE of this. So I walk in, leave with the assurance that Gabe will call me back, then find out they created another account for me, charge me for the new account AND fraudulently purchase a modem for me out of no where, without my permission. I went here for a quick pickup of my gigablast kit. check-in was easy through a tablet and was serviced pretty quickly (within a few minutes). Everything was done pretty quickly, however, the salesman tried to sell me their streaming device and that is something I don't appreciate. However, I m glad he was not like a car dealer salesman who doesn't leave you whatever happens. Overall the store is big and they have all possible things that cox sells including many devices. COX provides the least amount of services I've ever experienced. Their channel "lineup" is inadequate and the price for that is appallingly expensive. If you try to add/delete/change your channel's online (which they constantly direct you) you are forced to endure a reduculous ROBITIC interface! Beware! I have requested multiple times for an educational/information tech agent to come out and teach my grandmother how to use her smart TV and stream through internet only. They do not send the tech agents and then continue to charge her over $200 for cable that she doesn't even need. She can stream it through her smart TV with just internet only. After explaining this to the manager they did not want to deal with me and I just left because they know what they are doing is elder abuse and it's wrong I canceled and switched to Verizon for $25 a month and filed a report with BBB shame on you for charging an 82 year old woman scamming her for cable charges after I asked you multiple times to send a tech agent to teach her how to use her smart TV what is wrong with you? read more

I just got off the phone with Cox after visiting this store to pickup panaramic wifi modem. When I ordered over the phone, I asked if there were any setup or startup fees to add this service and was told no, only the $10.95 monthly. When I visited this store, I again asked if there were any fees associated with this service other than the monthly fee, and again I was told no. When I received my bill, I was charged twice for a setup fee, and when I told them what I was told by two different people, Cox said that because it wasn't documented in their system, they can't remove these fees. I think it is the modem and told this to Cox. The service guy showed up and did NOT have the same modem on truck so did NOTHING but sit and tell me how I needed to go and upgrade to a faster service and get a different type of modem and that these were really no good and he was not even sure they would have one in their warehouse. This company truly does not care about customers. They are frequently down and calls it an "outage" but if you want a credit you must contact them and ask for it although they knew the service was out. Even then, if there's more than 1 outage during a month, they will reverse multiple credits. Customer service is horrible and NOW they have charged me 2 times for the same billing period. My account doesn't even show the credit balance you have to search and find the multiple overpayments. Horrible and I mean horrible company. I wish there were more choices for high speed internet in Phoenix. I doubt that they care about our reviews or satisfaction. On Monday June 26th 2023, I had the worst experience at this store. I'm not going into all of the issues that brought me to one star but in a nut shell, Amanda W should not be working at a customer service desk. After numerous calls to cox management, they sided with me saying that "they should have given you your new internet tower" because it had already been arranged prior to you coming in. I work from home and depend on my internet. I was so upset and annoyed I went across the street to TMOBILE and got INTERNET!!! TMOBILE is $70 cheaper a month than cox. So when the cox box came yesterday evening by UPS, I sent it back and canceled the account. I guess it was a blessing in disguise. I'm saving $70 a month! Of course cox was trying to offer all kinds of deals at that point. The reason I was so upset is that my sister lives in CA and had set this up for our account in AZ. We moved into our new house in November and transferred internet services seamlessly. We scheduled a tech to come out and upgrade our internet to fiber, which was supposed to take place in 2 weeks. After multiple failed attempts to install the necessary equipment for fiber internet, Cox just gave up. In addition, a problem has arisen with our roadside line to our house. Cox sent out a tech that was unable to fix the issue a month ago. We have been without internet for a month and this companies incompetence is a glowing beacon at this point. If you are able to avoid Cox and use a different provider in North Phoenix, please do. Even if the internet is slower, at least you'll have customer service and any internet at all. read more

I just called to ask about downgrading our internet. I wasn't happy with 'Internet only' at $140.00 per month for 100Mb and that I'll shop around. He told me "with Century Link, they will say 60 mb, but you probably only get 18" which I completely agree with, but then he said "that's as fast as the old dial up speeds." Of course I challenged that and tried to explain the difference between dial-up... a 56k modem (kilobit) and the 18 megabit that he thinks is dial up speed. He claimed he knew the difference, but like that's the difference between a fire hose and a crazy-straw. Either he is completely uneducated, or even worse, Cox CSRs are trained to say things like that. That scare tactic language completely pissed me off. That dude, with that one statement lost Cox a customer of about 20 years (once I find another provider - I'm not going without internet). If someone from Cox customer relations would like to discuss, I'd be happy to, but I doubt they care enough to follow up. read more

COX HAS THE WORST SERVICE. I pay for 940mbps and only get 50 max and that's when it's actually working and hard wired into my device. Spent an 2 hours trying to change the bundle I had with Cox. Talking with a Cox provider offers me a discount of $32 down to $255. , online a similar bundle is $176.. Depending on who you talk to price changes. Then this very premier service lost me 4x. The DVR service was suppose to be included, then $13., and then after another lost connection it went up to $14. Not sure why all the bad reviews but I went in to swap my modem and it was a really quick and hassle-free process, probably 5-10 mins for the whole process. The store is spacious and clean with plenty seating. Two people were there to greet and help the customer sign in while three staff members were present to assist. I went here because my bill was unexpectedly raised and I had to go into a Cox store because I'd forgotten my account PIN and they couldn't reset it over the phone. After waiting for over half a hour I was called up (the store wasn't very busy). Talked to the CSR and told him my situation. The CSR was not at all helpful. He said that there was absolutely no way to get my bill down from this outrageous price increase. I have four cox accounts for my business and have had them for years. I spend upwards of $5,000 a year on internet services. I went home and was going to just cancel and sign up with century link but then online I found that I could still get my original pricing on the same plan all I had to do is reenroll in the program so I did that. Not sure if this guy just didn't know how to do his job or was trying to get people to sign up for the more expensive plans but either way it was not a pleasant experience. read more

I'm raising my right hand and swearing that I am not making this review based on Cox cable/internet service for my home (Although that is 1 star at best as well!!) :) So I show up at the place for two reasons. One, to return one of their many defective boxes. And two, to try to get a credit history on my bill that I was unsuccessful in doing over the phone the day before. First of all these places (not just this location) are complete zoos. If they'd spend as much resource on staff, well trained staff at that, as they do on making it look so pretty, perhaps things would improve. The 'greeter' tells me what I need to do with the box, so I do. That took about 20 minutes of waiting and arguing, but it eventually got dealt with. When I asked for a credit history, for a new loan I am getting, that's when things got real fun. Over the phone at the call center, I had absolutely no luck even getting the person to understand what I needed. So I figure while handling the box issue I'd kill two birds with one stone. I explain to the 'greeter' I simply need a 12 month print out of my bill showing I have not been late some sort of official Cox letterhead. Greeter: Go online and print it there. Me: Sorry that won't be official, I'm sure you guys have records of these things, it can't be too hard to print something? Most utils etc have a form letter for this. Greeter: It will be $10 for the same thing you can print online. Me: Will it be on Cox stationary? Greeter: What do you mean? Me: Paper bearing the Cox logo on it, at least. Greeter: No, just paper from our printer. Me: So as I mentioned, I cannot just print it from home as it isn't official, it also doesn't denote whether you were late or not just simply that you paid. Went to the store multiple times - never stayed as there was always a minimum of 10 people waiting outside. On today's 2nd trip there was nobody outside so I finally went in. I was number 11 waiting to be served. Waited 52 minutes to pick up a modem. The entire time they had 2 people serving customers with someone else on a back desk not dealing with customers. The store isn't anything spectacular, but it does conveniently serve my needs. I can't fault the store itself for my less than stellar feelings toward Cox. Cox is an alright cable provider. Not great. But considering like most cable companies, it has a monopoly on the local market, it could be a whole lot worse. I'll also give cox credit for having so many stores like this set up all over the valley instead of forcing customers to order everything or go one central location. The store itself is set up nicely. You walk in, someone (or yourself if they're too busy) can enter you're name in a computer and they will see you as soon as they're ready. It would be cool if you could set up an appointment online like the apple store, but I digress. There's plenty of overpriced accessories you can also pick up while you are there if you're too lazy to go to the Target that's a two minute walk across the parking lot, or if you don't want to drive to a Best Buy, or order something online.
