Amazing Alex! Do you ever dread upgrading to new phones because you know the process is worse than buying a new car? That was us! We arrived armed with skepticism and left totally awed by Alex Clark and the transparency of the experience. I have a gut instinct about people and Alex quickly won my trust. He explained every absolute detail known to man regarding the phones, the contracts, the options without pushing for a decision. There was no expectation to leave with new phones- he would give us the printed bid- yes you read that right-the PRINTED bid. In the past I have walked from upgrading my phone when I was presented with a multitude of verbal quotes-nothing in writing,-and promises my bill would be lower than my previous bill- but no definitive agreement. Not with Alex- he would have met with us all day answering any questions we had- we never felt rushed. What we did feel was respect, patience, clarity and actually joy as Alex continued to deliver both professionally and with his endearing enthusiasm. Yes we left with new phones, and several Verizon products. We hope Alex never leaves Verizon- but we know he is a gem and may be snatched up in another capacity. A plus for Alex and a minus for us. I finally found this store located in The Promenade in Scottsdale. The place was mobbed so I checked in, browsed a bit and then had a seat. It was probably a 40+ minute wait. It was Black Friday so I just put my patient hat on and browsed the Internet while waiting. The staff were helpful and efficient. We finished in about 15 minutes. I was happy to finish and leave. My I-Phone was hacked, I went to a "Verizon" store, which ended up being a 3rd party store, where I spent nearly 2 hours, which the agent figured out he could not help me, which made things worse!!! Terrible service. We had a scheduled appointment to upgrade our phones and were extremely disappointed with the experience. When we sat down, the Verizon employee assisting us (woman with black hair) did not greet us no hello, no introduction, and no offer to help. She immediately asked what we wanted. We showed her the online promotion we had on our phones for an Unlimited plan upgrade. Her demeanor was unprofessional throughout the interaction smacking her lips, using a dismissive tone, and behaving in a way I have never experienced in a customer service setting. She stated she had worked for Verizon for 17 years and told us that if we wanted that deal, we should complete it online because her "three-step process" did not show the promotion. When we asked follow-up questions and inquired about other plan options, she became rude and dismissive, ultimately stating that we were "wasting her time." This experience was unacceptable, especially given that we had a scheduled appointment and were genuinely interested in upgrading our services. Verizon is a major brand, and this level of service does not reflect the professionalism I would expect. read more

Reviews clearly don't matter since they still operate fully with a 2.5 rating. Ultimately, it just comes down to customer service. If you advertise that you're open until 5pm, then you don't turn away customers who walk in at 4:40. You add anyone to the waiting list who walks in before 5pm, and you stay to serve them appropriately. I get it - I worked in a restaurant and we hated it when patrons walked in before closing. But it's customer service 101. If Verizon wants their employees to leave at 5pm, then advertise that you close at 4:30pm. Don't turn away customers who have made an effort to visit your store within the advertised timeframe. read more

There was an assistant manager at this store who flat out lied and scapegoated a former employee that was trying to help one of his former clients. I was easy dropping in on them and could see the former employee was still trying to help one of his former customers. The young man trying to assist his former customer was even showing this "manager" something on his phone, which he intelligently saved, showing them that they were suppose to have a discounted plan. The manager was very threatening to this person and even I became very uncomfortable. When the young man trying to help his former customer stood this manager up, the manager became even more aggressive. The former staff member and the customer remained very calm, but soon realized this company was going to lie any which way they could. The two of them decided to leave. With no help administered. After watching that display, I too walked out of the building. I do not suggest to anyone they should use this provider. If you choose to receive service from Verizon, absolutely do not go to this location. read more

Came to get a new phone, that is upgrade from existing one. At 2:25pm on a Sunday afternoon store manager told me that she cannot take more customers as there are 7 people ahead of me. The store closes at 5pm! That is more than two and half hours I exclaimed!!! Yes - but we will not stay late and some people will get off early... I have never been happier about the customer service I received at this location. Went to switch from T-Mobile, Connor helped me from the moment I walked in the door, he was very helpful and even after I left the store and ended up on having to go to the T-Mobile store (my phone was broken), he was able to get all my numbers ported over quickly the same night. My phone was the only one that had an issue transferring over, so I had to come back today to have it fixed. Again, came in, very helpful and fixed the issue in 15 minutes. This review is for not only this store, but for Tyler as well. I stopped by this Verizon location a few days ago and Tyler was AMAZING!! Bought a new phone from this store earlier in the week and there was an issue getting it setup when I tried to do it at home, so I brought the phone back to Verizon (after general tech support and customer service lines gave me inaccurate information over the phone and were no help) and Tyler was able to get it all cleared up within minutes! Not only that, but he gave me some very helpful recommendations and solutions on how to set up my new phone even better and showed me what my options were to reduce to my monthly bill (which I did not even ask about that, he did that out of his own time and kindness.. as they don't make commission or benefit in any way if I l lower or change my monthly rate). I really really appreciated that he took the time to do that for me and show me my options! Every time I've come to this store it is clean, everyone is friendly (even when it's crazy busy), and again .. THANK YOU TYLER!! You were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and awesome to work with! Worst customer service I've been through. I've been treated better at the DMV. The guy checking us in was extremely rude and was negative right out of the gate. We had spent 4 hours on the phone with a verizon CSR to figure out an issue, they said they got it handled and notated our account . they told us specifically to go into this specific store. When we explained the situation in a calm manner, he immediately shut it down and said "no , I can't do that" without even knowing who we are or checking the account notes, then proceeds to tell other employees that we aren't going to honor any deal. Verizon needs to have a CSI for each store to hold their employees accountable. This kinda treatment is why people leave for other phone providers . read more

We traded in our old Iphones for the new Iphone 16 and also asked pricing for an Apple watch 10. We were given incorrect pricing information at the store located in the Promenade on Scottsdale Road. The monthly bill that was automatically paid from my bank account was not correct. I called the store but they could not help and gave me a number to call, which was automated and did not understand my question. Is there really a good cell phone company? Sitting at Verizon store with employees walking around knowing that you've been sitting there for an hour. Trying to undo what the sales person did without your permission. Make sure that if you're looking to compare plans? You are just comparing plans. In my case, they open my account and charged me all these equipment that I was just trying to compare due to the fact that I'm still signed up with my carrier. They ran my credit and took over a month to removed all the charges with interest. I didn't take any equipment with me. Just be aware when you are looking. read more

As I fiddled with my phone I solved a couple of issues I was having and then Colton came by to assist. How lucky was I he was young, pleasant and had a sense of humor. He sat down before me which to me showed consideration and that he wasn't going to rush me. Came into the store yesterday and got me a new phone. Upgraded from an iPhone 5 to an 11. No problem with the transaction. Found it odd to charge an upgrade fee, but whatever. Got the instructions about how to set up the phone, took it home and connected to WiFi. Today I came into work and realized the phone wasn't activated and we didn't receive instructions on how to perform this action. So now I can't make phone calls. Can't receive text messages. Both of those are requirements to speak with customer service to try and resolve the issue. Getting the run-around with the Verizon app. Cannot call the 611 number. Through WiFi, cannot talk with agent on the app. Next available appointment in-store is Wednesday. What a joke. Was able to call Verizon through a coworker's phone and figure things out after two hours of calls. Simple mistake caused such a huge headache! read more
