Best experience at an AT&T store. Jeff was so helpful and quick. Brought my husband on to my att plan and got him a new phone. Jeff helped us all along the way so my husband could keep his same phone number. This store is also huge and has chairs/tables so you can sit while they help you. Great experience. Just left store. Had a bearded salesperson who's name I didn't catch. Purpose was to bring in phones that were traded in for iPhone 15's. Salesman told me the phones I had were worthless, the store in Illinois where I made the deal was not an authorized AT&T dealer. (It was). He then said the person who handled us in Illinois didn't know what they were doing. He has 22 years experience and knows it all. I left screaming and headed to the AT&T dealer on Carefree Highway. They were responsive and courteous. Did the entire transaction in 5 minutes. Before leaving they took the time to help us understand our new phones. Pro tip: Make an appointment and show up 30 min early. Check in with them (whether they approach you or not) to get your name on the list. Be patient. AT&T stores are like the DMV these days. It takes a lot of time for these reps to really fulfill each customers needs. I waited 45 mins (after showing up early) and one rep had been with a customer for some time before I even entered. I assumed they were with that person for over an hour. So I imagine they need a break after such a long interaction. Which does increase the wait time but they're human. If you make an appointment it won't be so bad. I was very happy with the help I got. Wait time is expected especially on a weekend or weeknight. These reps are good at what they do and even walk you out after helping! read more

We have come to this AT&T location for several years now looking at new phones, and servicing our existing ones. The employees are very knowledgable and friendly. In the past we've had Motorola's, several Blackberry's and numerous Apple i-Phones, all of which were happy with the experience. I highly recommend this AT&T store! read more

Update. Regret trading my phone in here. I was given a 700 dollar trade in credit and have since been billed hundreds of dollars for the phone. FirstNet never received my phone, and therefore I've been charged for the device. Not to mention I lost 700 dollars on my perfectly good phone. Calling the store didn't help at all. I've spent months and months trying to repeatedly tell ATT i traded my phone in in store. This has been nothing but a nightmare in which I've lost nearly 2000 dollars. I guess my trade In was never sent in and apparently I have no way to prove this or track it. Extremely Upset about this. read more

Switched to Google Fi LT $25 a month and great service not sure why I waited so long to save $40+ a month I think the data service is 10MG or less but with Covid and working from home data is no longer relevant as it goes through the WiFi. read more

The staff completely ignores customers! On one occasion the staff had the doors locked (during business hours) due to a "team building" event, and told us to come back in 45min. Sorry, but the team building means nothing if you don't have customers to help! On another occasion, the staff ignored me while I was standing at the register trying to buy a phone case. They were helping other people set up new phones, which takes FOREVER! Instead of taking a minute to ring up my phone case, or tell me to give them some time, they just let me stand there for 20 min. without any acknowledgment. I will NEVER give this place another try. I will purposely drive farther away to get new phones/accessories or just go up to Best Buy where they were very glad to help me! read more

My hubby's had problems with his phone not getting the OS software updates and the phone CS people have been unable to help. So we choose this store as the closest Company Retail Store. The gentleman that met us at the door was very polite and seemed very knowledgeable in his aspect of the store. Unfortunately, we needed help of a more technical nature so he suggested we go to the store in Paradise Valley Mall. He walked us to the door and was very apologetic that he couldn't help. I would give this store a ZERO if I could. Walked in to ask a question about unlocking one of my devices . the sales associates all looked my way when I came in to the store but not a single one said hello or acknowledged my presence ( all 3 were busy with other customers ).... There was one person ahead of me ,which is fine, but after over 20 minutes of sitting and still NO acknowledgement I decided to leave. The gentleman ahead of me said he was getting ready to walk away too. Listen...I get being busy but ACKNOWLEDGE your customers! If it's an hour wait or 10 minutes , let us know!! Zach G at this store is the only reason I stayed with AT&T today and didn't move to another carrier. He was able to listen to my problem and didn't make me repeat it a bunch of times and actually used critical thinking skills to help find a suitable solution not just restart my phone. After wasting hours and days talking to incompetent, rude employees through the AT&T call center Zach was the first person I came across who actually wanted to assist me. He was took care of all my needs in an efficient 15 minutes and was very sympathetic when I told him about my horrific experiences calling into the AT&T call center. Please utilize his excellent customer relationship management skills to train your awful employees at the call center and at authorized retail stores. read more

Awful service. I've been a customer with AT&T for more than 15 years. I recently upgraded to a new phone through the Apple store because this location was out of stock on the phone I purchased the last time I upgraded. When I got my new phone through Apple, they told me I could mail in the old one or drop it off at an AT&T store. I chose the later as I live nearby, and it's more convenient than hunting down a box and trekking to the post office. I popped in yesterday afternoon and was "assisted" by Noel who was completely rude, condescending, and refused to accept my trade-in because "mixing inventory between retailers gets funky." The phone was leased through AT&T, AT&T will charge me for the phone if I don't return it, so why won't they accept it? I left the store, called 611 and told them about my experience, to which their response was that there is no reason why Noel and the store should not have accepted my trade-in. This store needs a visit from corporate and should provide better training to its employees, especially to reinforce the value of customer service. read more

Arrived 10 minutes before closing and rep made every attempt to discourage me from activating an account. I don't understand why people are so lazy, if you don't like your job then look for other options. The manager made an unnecessary comment, "it's 7:58 and we about to close, so if you can get him activated In 5 minutes I'll waive his activation fee" total lack of professionalism in my book. I felt rushed , rep did not add my personal information to the account. Just put Pre-Paid as the name. Didn't explain how the plan works and just gave me the one he wanted. I've read some of the reviews below and can thoroughly understand how people are not overwhelmingly thrilled with any cellular service provider but I must say the experience I had today at this location was FANTASTIC. I was in town visiting my retired elderly parents who are living on a fixed income and I discovered that the person that originally set up their services (Cox) really took advantage of them (1 Gig internet and international phone services) with a monthly billing nearing $200 for fricken phone and internet. I took them into AT&T store today (who is their cellular provider) and worked with Chris who was beyond patient and understanding. He worked with us to find much more affordable solutions for my parents. Truly grateful for his help and would recommend his services to anyone that comes by this store. Ask for CHRIS!!! read more

BEWARE OF TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. If I could give this store a zero I would. The sales person sold me the wrong phones. The manager refused to help me via phone or in person when I went to the store. He sent me back to 611 for help. They refused multiple times saying it was the stores fault. Now my bill and eligibility for new phones is all wrong. The manager response he laughed and said Yea your bill will be wrong for a few cycles just pay it and it will all work out in the end. Ask for the District Manager number "Eric" was told good luck he does not respond to complaints they are handled at the store level. read more

I came in today to return an iPhone cable that I bought a few weeks ago and when I came in they said its passed the 14 day mark. When I bought it, I also bought several other items which the rep then told me that I didn't even need a recent to return anything because it's on my account. He never mentioned a time limit of returning something none the less it was never even opened. I feel robbed that ATT was happy to take my money and not disclose time limits on returns and I spend over $140 a month on my bills. Never again will I trust an ATT rep. This was my first visit. As far as cell phone stores, this appears to be the gold standard. It's obvious they train their people to the max. As soon as I walked in a young lady extended her hand and cheerfully gave her name and asked mine. Compared to two other cell company's stores, one of them just lets you wander in and wait to see if someone finally recognizes you and the other makes you feel like you are an insignificant number. The sales people are unusually professional, kinda like robots, but nice robots. All are friendly and sincere and extremely knowledgeable . The place reeks of well-done training. I was there to look at a new combo smartphone/notepad called the Samsung Galaxy Note. The poster in the front window promised me they carried it. The young lady greeter let me roam and in less than a minute 2 young guys approached me and identified themselves as being Samsung specialists. That was interesting, I don't think I ever saw salespeople who were specifically trained in one product. They both had the product I came to see in their hands and proceeded to corner me (in a nice way) to show me how it worked, including taking a picture that they photoshopped into a cool picture of me skydiving. This is one cool phone, er tablet, er, whatever it is, but whatever it is I can't seem to be able to live without it. Not good for the store that there were only a few other customers, I wonder if anybody knows they are there, but good for me that I didn't have to wait forever to talk to somebody. The two young guys ended up taking me to the sales counter so I could get an idea how much mac/cheese I would have to eat to afford my new toy. This is a cell phone store that does what they do at a professional level, isn't it sad that I have to say that, because so many retailers don't even have a clue what customer service even means? read more

This location has very poor sales practices. Twice now I have upgraded phones only to find out that additional services, I did not ask for, had been added to my service. This time, I actually told the sales person that I did not want any extra services, yet ended up with a $40/mo protection plan. Watch out for these guys. read more

With a great deal of patience Zachery Guddendorf at the Scottsdale gateway store listens and answers all of my questions regarding my I phone 11 pro max. He shows me his expertise time and time again when Its convenient for me to drop in to the location for fast information. I switched from Verizon to AT&T last August 2020 bc of him. I could not be more satisfied. Zachery discussed all programs, advantages and helped me pick the phone according to my needs. When I told him what was most important to me for utilization of the phone and how I wanted things to be organized etc - he set it all up right then and there! He did not tell me to google it or look at the help section in the phone. AT&T has more offerings and specials than my former carrier. Verizon was my carrier for almost 28 years! Now I get to save money, take advantage of ongoing specials AND receive most excellent service from Zachery Guddendorf. I'm sure the other reps in the store are quite qualified as well but Zachery is my go to guy! Thank you Zach!! Hooray!!! read more

I purchased two new iPhone XS Max phones the end of September and worked with Max. I was told that they qualified for the BOGO sale which is the only reason I upgraded both devices. I have went back into the store stating I have not received my credits and AT&T customer service says that it does NOT qualify. I was assured that the store manager would get everything fixed and that it would be qualified for the BOGO. I have not received any credit for the device and I have been paying for it the last 5 months. Very poor customer service and knowledge on their own services. read more

Awful experience here. I placed an online order, the website made it seem like that was the only option (to do curbside pick up). When I called the store to ask a question on my order he was rude and told me he didn't know the answer. Then I tried calling again to no answer. Funny thing is after I called I got there in 5 minutes and he clearly was not busy, just sitting there. He grabbed my online order and gave me my phone. I asked that's it? Nothing else to do? He didn't help explain anything to me, did not even help set up my new phone! Now I have to contact Apple myself and try to figure out how to properly restore my information. A store associate who is being paid should do their job and assist their customers! Not just ignore questions, not answer phones, not just give them the phone and offer no help or support at all. Horrible experience! Will be filing a complaint. read more

Don't expect anything like service when you go in here. they act as though they couldn't care less if you are there. They had three people waiting out front and apparently there was a manager in the back who never came out. They are gaining more of the market share in the US, but it's definitely not due to this store in north Scottsdale. read more
