After I went to Yelp to share my experience when trying to have a screen repaired under warranty, I read the other reviews... Should have done so before I bought the Groupon and had my iPad repair done here. Although the repair went fine, my screen cracked in the middle when I literally just picked it up (in a protective case) one day. After going back in, to say the owner ought to read his reviews on Yelp... The nice receptionist tried to explain that they were trying to change their ways, had a new staff, were aware of reviews... Apparently, he has fired all his staff and gotten new people, but the OWNER has not changed to provide good service.... I get that Apple screens crack when dropped... My phone is cracked too. and if I dropped it I'd have taken it back here to be repaired. He could have at least offered a solution - maybe a two-for-one!? Or some compromise... I'm such a proponent of small, local businesses it pains me to say... Stay away! Sometimes there's a reason for continuous Groupon offerings! This is a business rope for repeat customers, but A&A will never see that word-of-mouth FREE advertising that is vital to a successful small business! read more

This place is sub par. I bought a groupon and dropped my iPad off to get fixed. The gentleman in the store said it would take 1-2 days to fix but it ended up taking about 3 weeks total. I bought a groupon for an iphone repair. They treated me like a second class citizen because I had a groupon. Had make an appointment five days after I purchased the groupon just to drop the phone off. I was told if I mentioned the groupon, but didn't buy it, they would honor the price and I could drop the phone off right away. Then they tried to up sell me to a same day repair, which I didn't. I finally got the phone back 3 1/2 days later. Who can function without their phone for 3 1/2 days? I have had other iphone screens replaced, always in a couple of hours. There is a place in tempe that did it in an hour and only charged $65. read more

I took my phone to have the screen fixed at this location. The phone worked perfectly, just had a cracked screen. After having my phone repaired, the camera no longer worked and the screen had a black spot in the corner. For weeks i called and left messages but nobody ever answers or returns voicemails. I finally went it to have them look at my phone. By this time the entire screen was blacked out. I was told that I must have dropped it and was also accused of getting it wet, when it was obvious the screen was seperating from the phone, thus causing the damage. These guys are clowns! I took my girlfriends iPhone front screen to be repaired.which I could have done myself. Keep In mind I have done this before and know what I am doing but I was being lazy. Went in asked them about getting it fixed and they offered me their Groupon special to get next day service for $49. I said ok. I specifically asked if they replaced the whole front including digitizer and LCD when I dropped it off and told them I was bringing it in because I wanted it fixed now and didn't want to have to order the parts and do it my self. Picked it up all was good until exactly 30 days later the LCD fails, no falls or bumps just goes white while using it. I called and said hey you just put this in and the LCD is bad. They said they didn't replace the LCD. "I said what do you mean? The safety glass is glued to the LCD". Again saying we only replace the glass unless you say that the whole thing need replaced. I told her I did and asked why would you unglue the safety glass from the LCD ,which is twice as much labor and you will probably damage the LCD. No answer. Anyway they said the only have a 48 hour warranty and agreed to look at the phone for $15 dollars and if the LCD is bad I would have to pay for it. No thanks and way to stand behind your work. Needless to say make sure you have a good bank so you can dispute the charges for crappy work and poor customer service if you go here. I wish I looked at yelp first and saw these reviews. I always look at yelp for everything including looking for an apartment. I will not make that mistake again. A and A computer sucks!!! read more

Terrible experience. I also had a Groupon for an iPad screen repair. I had a small crack in my white frame screen corner. I had to wait a MONTH before they would let me bring it in. Then I got it back and there were blue streaks under the screen. I told them it was unacceptable and the original crack wasn't even In the viewing area but the blue streaks are all over the screen. They had a very defensive attitude and they said if I want a quality screen I'll have to purchase a SECOND screen at regular price otherwise since I had a Groupon that I got what I paid for! Are you kidding me? Customers that have good experiences write good reviews and bring their personal MacBook, iPads, iPhones in for repair. We also recommend these services to the companies we work for in offices right down the street that have over 25 apple computers. Customers with a bad experience leave a bad review and get our money back. I got a full refund with Groupon. read more

Terrible. I dropped off my iPad to have the screen replaced. The man took my iPad and advised it would be completed in a few days. When I went to pick up the iPad and the screen was replaced but the screen wasn't flush to the iPad and the sides were rough and jagged. When I brought this to their attention they looked at me like I was crazy. He took it in the back and came back advising it was fixed. It was still rough and jagged. Now they want an additional $40 to put a frame on it to make it smooth. There was no mention of additional charges when I dropped it off. I was advised that they replaced the screen and it was operable. Save your time, money, and electronics from this place. I wish I did some research prior to using them. read more

I am so pleased that A& A Computer Repair was able to help me! They fixed my iPhone 5 after the Genius Bar at the Apple Store was not able to help me. My phone suddenly stopped working and would not go beyond the black background/white apple "screen of death" when plugged in. The guy at the Genius Bar said that my only option was to restore, thus losing everything, including 7,000+ pictures of my family (...I had not backed up to the cloud. Lesson learned!!). I refused to believe there was nothing to be done, and brought my phone to A & A. They said they'd try to help, and said they'd need two weeks. A & A was in touch frequently. They were able to fix my phone in about 4 days!!! The problem turned out to be a bum battery!!! So glad I didn't give up. Pictures saved and backed up to cloud. Consider this fair warning. This company is shady, dishonest and has the worst customer service i have ever had the displeasure of experiencing. Bought a Groupon for an I Pad screen repair and followed they're ridiculous online appointment setting procedure. Dropped off the tablet and was told the repair would be approx. 5 to 7 days. After a week i called and left a message on they're voice service which stated all calls would be returned the same day. I did this everyday for a week and never received a return call. So after 2 weeks i went to the store and was told by the same guy that they were busy and had not repaired the I Pad yet. Said he would call when it was done. Our conversation left me very uneasy. He was very nervous and avoided direct questions. When i left the store i had a sick feeling he was hiding something. Like he was about to go out of business. I waited a total of 4 weeks and then attempted to call again. No response, but still the same answering service saying all calls returned the same day.After another week of calling without hearing from them, i again went to the store. Closed! Moving to a new location. But no address for the new location. Then to my surprise i received a package in the mail. My I Pad long with a letter saying they had received so much business from the groupon add that they had to move to a new facility. The letter also said the could not honor the Groupon i had purchased and had the nerve to invite me to schedule another appointment and dicuss additional charges to do the repair. I wanted to talk to them alright, but not to discuss using they're service or paying more. So once again i tried to call. Yes! Horrible and unethical! We took our ipad mini in because we cracked the screen. We received a phone call 2 days after we dropped off the computer. The sales person stated that our computer had a blackout spot on the screen and asked if we wanted it fixed. Our computer screen never had a blackout spot- the tech damaged it when he was trying to replace the glass. Long story short. Do not trust these crooks. They are clearly trying to take advantage of us! No wonder they are grossing 140,00 a year!!! They are unethical. Do not take your business there! read more

Very poor. I had purchased a Groupon to repair my cracked iPhone 4 screen here at A & A, however after the horrible experience I had with them, I will be getting a refund from Groupon due to a "bad experience with the merchant." The person I spoke with was extremely unhelpful in getting my issue resolved, audibly sighing and groaning in exasperation over the phone. Despite this, I continued to try to politely resolve this issue until he blurted out, "Why are you arguing with me?!" Businesses with even the slightest respect for their customers would not say this to them, much less yell it over the phone. But beyond this, this same individual actually lied to me about how redemption of a Groupon works. I know this because I spoke to a Groupon customer service representative who was quick to tell me "Umm... no. That's not how it works. He told you that?" He lied to me, essentially telling me it was out of his hands when in actuality, it was entirely up to him and A & A to help out a customer. Why they would lie to a customer rather than work with the customer to make both parties happy? I honestly don't know. I do know that I will never bring my business here again, and I'm writing this to forewarn anyone that reads this from having a bad experience like I did. worst experience of my life!!!!!! do not use their servies no matter what the price is because it's not worth it!!! i dropped it off by appointment on tuesday, was told two times i could come pick it up and it wasnt ready, one of the times they gave me my phone only to realize once i left it was someone elses!! was told my phone was switched with someone elses and they didnt know where mine was, was told they had to order a screen because my phone wasnt compatible with what they had but turned out they were diagnosing the wrong phone!! no one there knows what they are doing, it is super shady. when i finally picked it up 3 days later james, the owner, admitted it souldve only taken less than an hour and they screwed up horribly but was only willing to give me a $10 credit to make up for everything which was a complete insult and a slap in my face. i will never never ever use them or refer them to my worst enemy. One star is too high to rate this place. First of all, the phone number listed for this business just rings and there is never a person that answers. Regardless whether you've bought through Groupon or not they are still rude. When you enter their address in google maps it takes you to a different location. So many other places replace a screen within a few hours but not this place. But if you pay an additional $49 on top of what you've already paid then MAYBE they can have it ready for you the same day. I dropped my phone off on Wednesday @ 11 and today Thursday it's still not ready. I called to see when it would be ready and the guy said it should be done by 6 but if it gets done sooner he'll let me know. Now I know he is just brushing me off because first he has my phone that he's fixing and second he has no other form of contact to get a hold of me. This place is a JOKE. This owner thinks that if he moved his location from Goodyear to Scottsdale that he would make more money. Well, he's out of his mind if he thinks that people he treats like crap will refer business to him. Saw a deal on Groupon so I directly called the store to get more information before I purchased. They said I could just drop off my laptop and they would honor the Groupon price so I wouldnt have to make an appointment. I brought in my laptop for a cracked internal screen and was told it would take 7-10 days to fix. They then made me pay for the service up front (I thought this was kinda strange). I was told that a tecnician would call in a couple of days to let me know when it would be ready, never called. So I called them and was told that it was 7-10 days just for them to get the part, then 2-3 more days for the repair. When I tried to explain that that was not what I was origionally told, the lady just kept repeating herself in this condesending tone. So a couple more days went by so I tried to call them back and both numbers I have for them just kept ringing, no voicemail or anything. This has happened several times now. So finally after a couple days of trying I get someone to answer and they tell the the screen was replaced but now the laptop just keeps re-booting itself (there was not one thing wrong with that computer except the cracked screen when we brought it in) so they need their tech to diagnoise it. A couple days later I call back and they said they have to send back the part and order another one. Ok, at this point, they have had my laptop for 21 days and I'm done. I told them I wanted my money refunded and I was coming to pick it up to take it to an honest place. They said they wouldnt release it disassembled so I told them to put it back together. Long story short I ended up e-mailing the owner James and he didnt respond. I sent a second e-mail simply asking if he received my first one and he responded "this is the only email we have received" So I forwarded the original email, and nothing. Sent another one, and nothing. I am on day 25 now and am just going to have to go in face to face. This place is a joke. I would never reccomend anyone go there read more

NO STARS. This place is a complete joke. Brought my desktop in to replace a fan, and a month later haven't heard from them even once. Literally the ONLY way to get a hold of them is to drive over there on my lunch break, since they close at 4pm (even though their website says 6pm, and even though they leave before 4pm anyway). I have tried calling DOZENS of times and not once gotten a response (the phone number on Yelp is disconnected, I'm calling the number from their website). When I told the guy in the shop their phone is never answered, he said it gets transferred to the owner's cellphone. That means the owner is completely ignoring the phone calls for his own business, and is completely ignoring the voicemails I have left requesting a call back or any information on my computer. I finally went in yesterday and requested a complete refund for the fan they bought but never received and for the work I paid for that they obviously didn't do. They told me to come back today and they would give me my refund and my computer, but when I got there at 1pm, there was a sign saying "back at 1:30p." I waited until 1:45p and finally had to go back to work without my computer., againgain. THE. WORST. CUSTOMER. SERVICE. EVER. Do not go to this store if you value your electronics. read more
