My wife and I (with baby in tow) went to purchase a new iPhone around 7:20pm. We were immediately greeted upon entry (awesome), but once we told them we wanted to purchase a new phone we were quickly told they close in 45 mins and they could not perform data transfer. That's completely fine - but why start an interaction like that? The subsequent interaction was rushed and there was a clear tone that they did not want to spend the time to sell us a phone. We were also quickly told Apple's new feature to turn off your iPhone would take an hour. Heavily insinuating there wouldn't be enough time to get us a phone. While I understand that is not their fault, why not offer solutions and work with us? Instead, they kept referring to "T-Mobile.com is the same anyway". It was clear the focus was on closing and leaving quickly. Ushering us away to t-mobile.com for the purchase. Bottom line - we went into the store for an in-store experience. Not a dot com solution. I think I've been a T-Mobile customer since I got my first cell phone approximately 10 years ago... well, actually, they were under a different name back then, but I've been a long time loyal customer. I've been satisfied for the most part, and have no desire to switch carriers anytime soon. With all of that being said, as you can imagine, I've been to my fair share of T-Moblie stores over the years... My latest phone, the blackberry pearl, is fantastic when it functions properly... unfortunately, it doesn't always function properly. Lately, I was having some major problems with it and I just figured it was time for a new phone. However, when I took it into this T-Mobile location, Juan took the time to trouble shoot with me before trying to sell me a new phone. I appreciated that very much. He was extremely knowledgeable on all of the products and I didn't feel like he was just another salesman trying to sell me something. I ended up with a new phone anyways, but I was happy with the service that Juan and T-Mobile provided me. In this day and age, there is something to be said about that, not to mention the fact that I feel naked without my cell phone - I feel like I'm in good hands with T-Mobile. We were the only ones waiting at the time. During our time waiting three other parties came in as well also needing help. After 30 minutes of waiting one of the employees became available and took one of the last people that came into the store skipping many of us that were waiting well before them. We continued to wait for another 25 minutes and then called it as no one else ever became available. They did not acknowledge us once after the initial, we will get to you as soon as we can response' when first arriving. I had been a Verizon customer for many years, but was notified that I would be losing a discount I had had. With the great new deals that T-Mobile was advertising, I decided it was time for a change. My wife researched plans online and messaged with a T-Mobile rep, so we were all prepared when we entered the store to make a final decision. We were fortunate to have an excellent young lady, Faith, assist us. Our situation was a bit convoluted since we had four phone lines, two watches, and two of us at the store and two others on the plan in Illinois and Washington state. However, Faith was very patient as we were there for close to three hours switching over, activating new phones changing over data. While my daughter In Illinois struggled with T-Mobile due to what appeared to be an incompetent store employee, we were thankful that the in-person help we received at this store and the online assistance we received were both excellent. read more

When I got in I was helped by Faith and she was amazing! Even though my problem wasn't solved she was amazing with her customer care! This was my second time at the store in the past week I was trying to get a tablet to replace my surface pro. First time I went in. I didn't have my ID because I lost a week prior. I was told I needed my ID even though I had my pin, a photo of my ID and my social I go to the DMV the next day the following day I go to the store again and the same guy tells me that he cannot except the piece of paper that the DMV gave me because there is not a front and back of this piece of paper. I don't know what else I was supposed to do because I asked at the DMV if that piece of paper would be able to get access to my phone and they replied yes. The only reason I am even writing reviews on every platform is because I went to the seventh Street and Bell Road T-Mobile right after I got that piece of paper from the DMV in Granite. They didn't even check my ID or the piece of paper. They just ran the account and saw that I have my number of my PIP I decided not to get to the iPad right then because I wanted to see if they had any service pros over AT&T because I was a little sad, knowing that I was just there a couple days ago at a different store, where they didn't allow me to access my account or add anything to my account so I left seventh Street and Bell Road thinking that oh yes, I told them I had a paper ID from the DMV at the other store. I'll go back to Desert Ridge I go back there isn't what I previously stated is what happened so from my understanding seventh Street in Bell didn't even check my ID so the fact that I've been to Desert Ridge twice with all the credentials of my account that I need besides an ID they still chose to not let me access my account it's horrible. read more

First I want to compliment our associate Tina. There are 4 of us on the plan, so she had a lot to deal with, and we're not really the "easiest" people to deal with. This girl never wavered, and we drowned her with questions. Everything was answered and the necessary changes were made. It took some time. I purchased the T Mobile G1 in December after my beloved Sidekick was on its last straw. Even though TMobiles customer service is HORRIBLE, screwy and usually totally mixed up, I decided to stay with the provider and try their much touted G1. The sales girl at the Desert Ridge store screwed up my billing (it was supposed to be billed to the company I work for) but instead it came to my credit card. When I went to resubmit to the company, they were no longer offering that cell phone reimbursement, so I had to shell out payments on my own due to her mistake. Thanx TMobile! 24 hrs after I bought the G1, had trouble manipulating the slide out keyboards keys,I returned to the store where my sales girl told me to go out and buy the replaceable silicone keyboard for the phone. SHe told me that TMobile was "out" but that I could pick them up in the mall at the cell phone kiosks. I ran around town(on my days off from work and kids) trying desperately to find the replaceable silicon keyboard. I hated typing and texting on a phone whose buttons barely worked. By the time I finally tried to locate the mysterious replaceable keyboard on the internet, I found out there was no such item. The salesgirl totally lied to me! I took the phone back to TMobile, to which I was told, "You have 14 days to return our phones. It is day 15 today!! Sorry!" Hard to be truly pleased with any cell service so allow me to speak honestly. I have had no complaints with my T-Mobile service, or the service at this store. I have been using T-Mobile Pre-Paid since 2006. I prefer T-Mobile since as a pre-paid customer you can purchase any phone, pay full price, and only pay for the minutes you use, no wasted air time every month. And if they piss me off I can leave anytime. Now if only we could do without the up-sell in the stores, trying to get me into some sort of contract. Comparing the pre-paid services, I found T-Mobile to be the best deal. Remember: the decision for which cellular carrier you should pick should always be based first on which one offers the best signal in the places you are most likely to use the service. Remember too, cellular is two-way radio. The coverage with all carriers will always be spotty in some places due to terrain, interference, or signal obstructions. I used to have Net10 prepaid, but they send text advertisements to your phone and will not stop, so I dropped them. Otherwise they are the cheapest prepaid but their minutes expire rapidly. T-mobile minutes last for a year after you reach the $100 minutes purchased mark. And for the record, their advert for "world's largest 4G network" is misleading. Their 4G network comes no where close to the technical specs of a 4G network, it's closer to a 3G network. The term "4G" means something specific, not just 4th Generation. T-Mobile's so-called "4G" is NOT a 4G network any more than my 8mm video tapes are VHS. To advance to a true 4G network would require new phones and cell site hardware, they did not deploy either. This is nothing more than a marketing gimmick. Update: a friend of mine with the T-Mobile 4G hotspot device gets an average of .800Mbps down and .2Mbps upload, even at 3am! This is about twice the speed of 3G. Like i said, it's not real 4G read more

The same guy who would not come out of his office to talk to me about the $100 JBL speaker that didn't work after he up-sold me earlier. I ended up walking out of the store after waiting 45 mins. We were less than 1 mile from a tower, yet we had to have a f*****g "booster" in the house to get enough signal to keep a call from dropping. We could make additional payment amounts on our bill, but then had to call to apply it to the installment plans. NOW, as of today, I am told they "can't apply the overpayment on my account to the installment plan"!!!WTF!!!!! I have been with T-Mobile for about 10 years now. I am grandfathered and get a decent price .. but ignoring that, I would say over all I give T-Mobile an "A+". On the money side they have a simple system to defer my payment when Im low of dough(my fam has 6 phones so the bill can add up). They recently restructured their phone service pods .. so I always get the same people (NMexico for me). This makes a big difference over time. They over thank me a little but I also observe that they interactin a kind & human way. This validates that the culture there understands that They need customers & customers need human treatment .. not canned BS. This methodology only works when folks "up the mountain" say its O.K. Clearly the folks ARE saying its O.K. and have figured out how to make a profit anyway. Apple stores are for the most part huffed up low level support. If you are lucky enough to be serviced by the folks in NM, you will receive high level support from a real team ... diligent folks who act like you are partners.
