Cox has a billing bug that will continue to send you charges even after you end your subscription and return your cable box. A friend I know apparently reached out to them about this multiple times to the point where he just told his bank to stop the billing. Cox then used a debt collector to kill his credit score. I was helped by Soffi and Draya, who proceeded to listen to my insanely long story, boil it down to the issue I needed help with, and then made sure I was taken care of. Cox is one of the dirtiest scummiest companies I've ever worked with in my life. This month my automatic payment with my credit card didn't go through because my identity was stolen and they charged me like I had a returned check fee which I didn't. They paid nothing for my stolen credit card decline and had the scummiest demeanor to charge me $25 Which they did not pay to anyone. My bill is supposed to be $69 a month and this year I have averaged paying them over $100 a month because of different fees and scummy dirty tricks they play. I've never worked with a more dishonest, disreputable and more disgusting company than Cox. They lie steal and cheat to get money that is not due to them and they have not earned. Sadly they're the only provider at my condo complex I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy to work with the SCUM at COX. read more

So today we decided to stop by and see someone about adding some cable, and we were greeted at the door, our go to guy here is Javier, talk about professionalism at its best, he was very patient and answered all of our question, (they have so many packages here it's crazy!) He found the perfect package for our family, including our 4 year old, and my 26 year old (hubby) Disney and ESPN is all these boys need. We get our contour box installed tomorrow, no installation fees and next day service. So if you're looking for someone to take care of you and your family, I would say ask for Javier. I went to return a Cox box and they were at full capacity. I had to wait to get a receipt outside for about ten minutes in 109 degree heat. I soon realized after we came inside that they hadn't sanitized any of the seats inside or outside. They offered another customer a water and I was not offered a water. The employees are very nice. Long waits, poor quality dirty equipment, and the diy install you are forced to pay for never works. A technician ends up having to come out anyways. Signed up for cable over the phone and picked up my "new" cable box from the Cox Solutions Promenade store. Upon getting home and removing my "new" cable box from the sealed plastic I discovered the box was heavily used and dirty. The cable box had food in the buttons and grease all over it. No exaggeration. I was told when I picked up the box a Cox employee would stop by my house the following day to activate the cable on the outside of my home and leave a note on the door. That never happened either. After spending over an hour on the phone with tech support I was told that the Cox Solutions Promenade store had given me the wrong box and it would not work. They offered to send a technician out in two weeks to replace it. Overall very poor experience, Cox is lucky they have a monopoly on cable internet in Arizona or I highly doubt anyone would deal with their consistently poor customer service and sky high prices they are known for making even higher on a regular basis. read more

I rarely review service providers poorly as I understand not all employees are stellar at customer service. With Cox I am making an exception. I have been trying to upgrade my existing services pursuant to a promotion they sent to my account. As a result of being transferred (and then having the calls dropped) 5 times, in addition to actually speaking to about 10 customer service agents who did not seem to have access to the very promotions they sent out to me, and trying to upsell services at rates above what the promotion stated, I have wasted over two months either taking to non-customer service agents or having visits from installation techs who had no need to visit my home (I already had existing service and equipment - all that was needed was to unlock the service tier throttles at the main office). I still have not been able to receive the promotion and am seriously looking into cancelling the entire service. And they wonder why more people are looking to cut the cord... read more

This is the way that cable service should be! Met at the door, when I came in. Nice lady took my name for the next available service person. In about 1 minute a service person called my name to help me. I was picking up 2 mini cable boxes. Transaction took about 3 minutes. Service guy then walked me to the door and handed me my 2 boxes. Horrible customer service. I got there few minutes before closing, the employee Michael was extremely rude and made personal comments, clearly showing his urge to finish his shift and go home. He was talking about me very downgrading front of the store manager. It was a very humiliating experience. The manager or supervisor did not help me at all. These two had no idea about wats going on with my account, they are absolutely incapable of doing their job. Horrible service. I will file a formal complain on Michael and the supervisor as well.
