I questioned this at the time, and the employee compared it to buying a car and said you wouldn't be allowed to drive a car off the lot without insurance. I later called T-Mobile directly and was told that device protection is OPTIONAL and that requiring it is not T-Mobile policy. I then called this store and spoke with the manager, who confirmed that while T-Mobile does not require insurance, their independently owned store has its own policy requiring customers to purchase it. T-Mobile has now opened a fraud investigation regarding my transaction. Unfortunately, once I started reviewing my account, I discovered much more. I was given two trackers and told they "came with the phone." I later discovered I was being charged $6/month EACH for them. They put a protective case on my phone and told me it was part of the package and that I could come in and have it replaced anytime. I discovered a recurring $6/month charge associated with that, in addition to being charged for the case itself and another $4/month charge. Most concerning, additional lines were added to my account that I did not knowingly request or authorize. We only have two phones, yet I discovered additional line charges, including approximately $35/month for an additional line. None of these recurring charges were clearly explained to me as optional paid services that I was agreeing to add to my monthly bill. Items were presented to me as things that "came with" my purchase or were part of the package. I only discovered all of this because I called T-Mobile about the insurance requirement and then went through my account carefully. T-Mobile is now reviewing the transaction and has opened a fraud case. I have also spoken directly with this store's manager about what occurred. Check EVERY line item on your receipt and T-Mobile account before leaving this store. Ask specifically whether anything they tell you is "included," "comes with the phone," or is "part of the package" carries a monthly charge. I wish I had done that before leaving. This experience completely destroyed my trust in this location.

There was one other person in the store when I got there. Employee Aronn S. was the solitary CSR as everyone else had gone home. Aronn decided to multitask and did so with amazing accuracy. By this time, two other people came in. At a time of day when other employees might tell us that they need to close and suggest we come back the next day, he did not. Aronn rose to the challenge splendidly. He stayed after hours to finish the project for me, all with a sense of humor and diligence. This kind of customer service is uncommon these days. The plan pricing ended up being the same and they were willing to buy me out of my contract at Sprint. My whole issue was just to get better phone service in the Ft. Hills area. For some reason Sprint doesn't get great service in the Hills. The first visit I worked with a gentlemen named Javier and today it was another young man with dark hair. On my first visit Javier was a great educator of the plans and of great help. Told him I would be back at the end of the week to change out my plans. Today I was ready to switch over and had the intention of switching over but they didn't have the phone I wanted in stock, just my hubby's. The young gentlemen was just as nice as Javier but didn't give me any other options but just waiting for the phone for a few days. With that in mind I decided not to switch over and just go back to Sprint as I was going to be traveling soon and didn't want to be "in between,' phones.
