I have 3 cell phones that I bought from Cox. My daughter has married and wants to take her phone service to another carrier with her husband. She will need to pay off her phone to take it elsewhere. No problem! Understandable. The other carrier will even pay the amount owed. However, Cox is unwilling to give me a copy of what that amount is. At least the asst manager names Chris is unwilling to do so. It's my bill, my acct, my service but according to Chris I am not privileged or qualified or something to get a copy of it or even take a picture of the screen showing my payoff amount! This is not a review for the specific store, but for the internet provider as a whole: -Wifi is far overpriced and is nowhere near as fast as advertised. Yes, it's fine for using your phone or computer, but impossible to play any game on a server/mulitplayer. The 250 mbps plan says it'll support multiplayer stuff but it seriously doesn't, and I'm not going to pay north of $100 a month just to see if the next most expensive package is capable. Resetting the equipment is a 5-min fix, then it's back to being unusable. read more

Had to return some equipment. Thank goodness the line was not long. I remember when I picked it up there was nowhere to even stand by a wall. Today, there was only one person ahead of me. We sat down and waited for a very very short time. They called my name, since you have to check in as soon as you walk in the door. The person that helped me was so nice. I wish I had written his name. Not always the case when dealing with customer service. He explained what I needed to do and what steps I was going to take. Very helpful and cheerful. Overall, my experience was a lot easier than I could imagine so they for sure deserve the 5 stars. Thanks! read more

Cox is overpriced, their data limits are excessive and they have some of the worst customer support I have ever seen. If you live in PHX, it is the city of Phoenix that allows them to screw you over. I would strongly suggest you tell the regulator agency of cox in your area to revoke their franchise. read more

I live minutes away from the store, wanted to pay with both cars and cash, legal tender is no longer accepted unless you go to a machine everyone touches. So they gave me the option of paying it all with the card or paying it all with the machine. Since they are sort of a monopoly they can get away with it. I've been a COX customer since the early 90's and need the Internet service but I am not happy. read more

Pricing increased from $99 to $144 for the giga plan. I asked about canceling due to price after 3 years and how to return modem. Representative put me on hold. Hung up after a couple of minutes. I called up and canceled subscription. And returning modem after google search today. My new service is with T Mobile. Cost is $50. Speeds are less but still triple digits. I'm a disabled VET, and don't have the ability to earn much, so called them about getting rid of some of their optional services to lower costs and was told I would have to upgrade to a different plan to make adjustments. I recommend this location simply for Kyle. He was so helpful, so quick, and so kind. My husband and I were dreading this because we have been moving all day and had to set up wi-fi last minute. Wifi doesn't work. Not worth the price you pay. Won't come fix the issue that is their issue without trying to charge us almost $100. Downgraded our service from $120 a month to $90 a month because the "best" one never worked. Even that one didn't work. Their service is a joke and no one knows what they're doing. If I could hive a NEGATIVE numer of stars it would be -100 at the very least. STAY AWAY FROM COX CABLE. Yhey are LIARS and THIEVES. For the Las 4 month, they have been cheating me on my bill, by adding an extra $100 + each month. They 'CLAIM', I'm using way over my data limit. This has never happened in the 25 years we've been with these lying cheats for our internet and cable TV. Since when did it become accepted to give customers an 'itemized bill', with 61% of your 'data usage', being from an unknown source. Way over priced for the mbps they promise. We were paying 175 for 500mbps and come to find out after running a speed test that I was actually getting about 50. Netflix,Hulu and etc are pre loaded services. You don't need that speed unless your doing live streaming. AND THATS HOW I FOUND OUT! I was getting subpar speeds the whole time! Then when I had a tech come and check everything out he suggested I connect an Ethernet cord to my modem so I can get better speeds...I'm sorry. I moved here 3 yrs ago and signed up with Cox . I never had issues until 8 mos ago. My cable constantly freezes, no picture , no sound. Had cable techs come to my house 4 times and check everything. COX I am currently paying $86 for 150mb of high speed internet service, which in reality has been more around 30-50mb if it's working, which working is a 20% success rate at that. I have called and chatted to customer service seeking a resolution to my slow and spotty Internet at least 4 times since February 15th and have been blown off getting a prewritten generic answer "Due to COVID the increase of people working from home has caused our services to not be reliable". Which I get it, COX was not prepared for the large amounts of people using the internet all at once but let me tell you what else they are not prepared to stop doing and that's taking your overpriced monthly payment... right? So I asked polity to all the representatives to please be credited for the months of spotty service and again I get the generic answer. "Our system will automatically refund you for any problems or outages I am unable to refund you" which let me assure you their system will refund you $5 if you're lucky and only take in consideration of 10% of the actual outages. Keep in mind I'm paying almost $100 a month for Internet that is not usable at all... due I get to say. "sorry I'm not paying this month because you did not supply our agreed product I purchased?" NO they will shut you off. Oh can I switch service providers? NO they own the contract for my neighborhood no other service providers are allowed to provide quality services in their area... As we speak I'm sitting on my couch on my cell phone writing this Because guess what there is no Internet again. So what does it take for me to get what I pay for? If there were an option to give negative stars I would put negative stars. I went to drop off my contour box, the next morning realized I included my tv power cord with the wires. When I would call they never answered the phone, went to the same operating system after pressing the selection. Called multiple times at different times of the day. No answer. I couldn't make it out that day, went they following day, they did not have my power cord. They had already sent out the boxes and wires to their recycling place. They don't even go through the things they receive they just sent out what you give them. Don't check the wires. When I called cox technical support, explained my situation, they said they would make a note, and the location should have my cord. They didn't!! I have been to 3 stores unable to find a power cord for my TV. read more

What a great store. As a long time DirecTV customer, I realized how much i missed being able to go into a store. The store is extremely nice and organized. All associates were having what seemed to be great interactions. The true test was that they were swamped, on a Saturday 15minutes before closed. I never felt rushed. Your customer service reps are horrible. I have spoken to at least 10 different reps who have only perpetuated my issues rather than solve them. Not only that, I am going on a week without internet and it is starting to affect my family's professional life. Me and my wife have both taken time from work to get internet to our house and was told that they cannot be here for another 5 days despite me scheduling my original appointment 2 weeks ago. There have problems from the start by your reps not realizing that my housing community is fiber. They scheduled the wrong technicians 3 times before it was changed. None of your reps have bothered to escalate my issue and I keep getting bounced around from rep to rep. I have asked for a manager multiple times but was never directed to one (at least none that asserted themselves as such). None of your reps offered to fully solve my issues other than to reschedule me. Out of the 10-15 people I have spoken to, Shawn in the fiber department is the only competent worker that you currently have on staff. The way your reps are trained in customer service is a joke. I have never had to deal with so many incompetent people in one company. read more

Never been to the Cox store before. Had to go in to ask them about the Cox security system, pricing, agreements, etc. So you walk in and there is a machine to take your name and why you are here. You punch in the information and go side on the side of the store to what for them to call your name. After a 10 min wait, I got called. The employee basically told me to schedule an appt with a sales rep to come to house for an estimate. Geez, I could have done that online or over the phone. read more

They seem to think someone who barely speaks English greeting you at the door is good service, but it's just one lazy person standing around while you wait 40 mins to get help. They "triage" people by your services. New services -- front of the line. Problems - sit and watch a children's movie with the volume cranked up. The greeter is apparently too dumb to remember your name, so he puts people on the wait list by descriptions. The woman who came in before me was "old lady with short hair" someone else was "fat hispanic by door". That's so much easier than your name. I was in the store on 4/30/12 and it was a horrific experience. Cox seems to think they earn your business, but really where else are you going to do? read more

Cox had poor customer service. I have been going in circles about two modems that I am being charged for $200 each that belong to my apartment complex I was leaving it. They are claiming I am responsible to return them when I only connected the service with the modem that was already at each complex and belonged there, with proof of stick on modem that states to leave there. They can't provide proof that I picked them up but not they are asking for proof that I returned them. I have escalated the issue and they continued to say it's a valid charge when in fact it's not. I have called, messages and even gone and it's this issue hasn't been resolved. The reps are rude and not trained especially the ones on chat since it's not over the phone but I will sue them over the proof that I have. They want to send me to collections and don't even take responsibility. NOT TO MENTION I moved out of one apartment in Dec and the second in July and I have recently received these invalid charges. I have been a cox internet customer since the 1990s. I recently received a monthly bill that was $100 higher than expected. Cox charged me for going over the data limit on my plan and they said they waived prior month due to the pandemic. So they wait until the kids have to return to school, via video chat, to start charging for overages. There is no reason to charge for data usage other than them looking for ways to pay for this massive internet upgrade they did expecting to have to compete with Google, Google never entered the valley market and cox wasted money investing in the internet service for nothing. Now they are using the "data overage" as a way to gouge consumers in a market with no other true comparable products. I am going to file a complaint with the attorney general's office over the data overage charges and the excessive pricing. SHAME ON COX!!!! read more

We just recently moved to Arizona. Cox cable is the only provider available in our area in Glendale. It is the worst service by far we've ever had in our lives. I almost lost my job because I work remotely and could get not good connectivity for phone calls. We called and called them , had them come out they did nothing. Eventually they escalated it to the higher ups and came out and ran new fiber optics. But now today we can't watch the Suns playoff game !!! Today in my work I lost two hours of pay because the connectivity was poor the Internet was slow , I could not complete calls. they said there was a problem in the area and they don't know when they'll fix it. Meanwhile I have to work tomorrow and if I can't get phone Connectivity I won't be able to work again and lose another day's pay! They are terrible !!!!! read more
