Cox is by far the worst provider of anything I have ever delt with. After 5 hours and being transferred 15 times, I was finally able to get ahold of the right department to cancel my service. Each department looped me back and fourth without a work order or any knowledge of my problem. The home life phone number listed in the website doesn't even take you to home life, it re routes you back to the main number. What a scam. After numerous attempts at cancelation, phone calls, emails, online chat... I was told I had a home life bundle, and only that department was able to cancel my services. $500 dollars for a cancelation fee later, i can safely say that was the the worst experience with a service I have ever had. I'm now a happy ATT customer and would never recommend Cox or use any of their services for my business or residential. read more

I have the Cox internet which is good, but please don't go over the gigabytes because you will get charged $10 for overage. Also, contracts through the COVID-19 for just basic channels will not be expunged. We are longtime Cox customers and, when my parents moved to the Valley 7 years ago, they also signed up with Cox for internet, landline and cable services. After my dad died from cancer-related issues last March, my mom has had multiple issues with both her cable and phone services. When she calls to talk to technicians, she has been given bad intel. For instance, she is not computer-literate, but was told by one of the phone techs that it would be cheaper for her to keep her internet for when she learns to use a computer, rather than cancel it. So ... that was more than $40 per month for the past 10 months that has gone down the Cox rabbit hole. The latest issue, however, has been with her landline. She had issues in December and called Cox four different times that month. A couple of weeks ago (mid-January), her landline and cable service went down again. Neighbors on her street had issues that got resolved -- but, 8 days and multiple calls later on her limited-minute cell plan, she still didn't have cable or phone. Finally, last Saturday (Jan. 22), we went into the Glendale store. After spending an hour there -- during which time we talked with a technician (Jesus) and the manager on duty (Chris) -- Mom was given a new modem to see if that would fix the situation (they had already replaced it the previous month) and told they could send a technician out on Thursday morning. When he arrived and checked out the situation, he discovered that it Cox had turned her service -- AND HERS ONLY -- off at the main box. The tech asked if she hadn't paid her bill. My parents never have been late or NOT paid a bill in their lives! So she was robbed of home phone service for more than a week and it was the company's fault. We both were understandably upset about this and, immediately after the tech left, we took her cable box, extra modem and assorted related wiring back to the Glendale Cox store and explained what had happened. The gentleman with whom we dealt this time (didn't get his name because I was so peeved) took an entire $7 dollars and change off her bill to compensate for the lost week. Yeah ... THANKS for that. Mom called me later that day and said her cell plan was charging her an additional $130-plus because of her overage charges beyond her $35-per-month plan. Just GUESS where most of those extra minutes were spent? That's right ... ON HOLD WITH COX. To recount, my mom is a recent widow on a fixed income who's never been late on a payment in her life -- and I am VERY UPSET about the bad treatment and the lack of compensation for her time, aggravation and out-of-pocket expense her involvement with COX has cost her. The original line had been cut, so Andre had to install a brand new line. This was certainly unexpected and took a few hours, but even in Arizona's extreme heat, he remained positive and patient. I went into the store on Bell Rd today, I signed myself in and thought I would ask if I needed to sign in to return the items. When I approached Dan, the manager before I got a word out he directed me to sign in, I told him that I already had signed in but wanted to ask a question. He informed me it was first come first serve. I found this person's tone and mannerism to be rude and definatly unhelpful!! I observed him reminding other sales associates to walk customers to the door. I would think he would take a verse out of his own book and apply it to his own customer service skills. read more

After turning in my host box, the rep replaces it with a reciever. You need the host for the reciever to work. TIP, check your bag before leavin the store or parking lot, never assume you were given the right equipment. Other than not receiving the correct replacement, the rep was nice and courteous. read more

I wanted to pass along a great review for you all. We had two installers come to our house (3732 W Villa Maria yesterday, 6/13...) The came right on time and right away I had questions. What was supposed to be a short thing ended up being 4 hours. Willy and Dylan diagnosed our troubles and they worked very hard and I applaud their tenacity and patience they exhibited while they were here. If there's anyone that deserves a pay increase, these two fellas should get one. It was a very professional experience. If I could find their supervisors I'd tell them myself. I've been told that there is an automatic email after any installation where I can respond, so remember that if you want to post a review. And don't anyone say anything negative about Cox they do a very thorough job. read more

If you love looooooooooooooong lines and snail-like customer service at the DMV, APS, or the Post Office then you'll absolutely adore Cox Solutions Store! I, on the other hand, am not enamored with a labyrinth of rules and regulations, so I couldn't help but think of all sorts of reasons why bureaucracies, red tape, economic straightjackets are a psychological nightmare as I sat there, waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting... just to turn in a temporary Internet modem. Though, it didn't start out so badly. When I first walked through the front door, there was a pleasant-enough woman standing there to greet me. I (foolish me) thought to myself, "This will only take minute!" HaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHa... well the joke was on me! Yes, the woman said someone else would have to help me, and that I'd have to take a seat until they called my name "Steve #2" (Steve #1, apparently, was one of the many unlucky fellow waiters ahead of me in the pecking order.) And so I sat, and sat, and sat, and sat. And I couldn't help but think (more than a few times) "Why couldn't that woman who greeted me just take my modem? After all, she had a computer at her fingertips, and it would have only taken a minute!" Ah, my friends, but that would be efficient. And Cox is not efficient. Instead, like their cousins, the DMV, APS, and the Post Office, they make you wait. An eternity. And yet they had five employees on the premises, but two of them appeared only to be greeters, who do nothing but take names. Now why couldn't we (i.e., the customers) just take a number like they do at the other red-tape establishments, thereby freeing up two valuable employees to help the masses waiting???? Ohhhhhhhhhhh, but that would be more efficient. And Cox is about as efficient as west-bound traffic on I-10 headed out of downtown at 5pm on a weeknight. Finally, my moment in the Sun arrived and my name was called. I walked up to the front desk, and handed in my modem. And less than one minute later I was walking out the door; hopeful that I don't have to come back here any time soon. read more

I am very satisfied with the service at this location. I am NOT satisfied with Cox in general. I called to cancel my service ( it was costing an arm and a leg) and the young lady kept trying to talk me out of it. This, even after I told her I had a new service. She kept trying to convince me that theirs is the best deal, etc, etc. I asked to speak with a supervisor and she backed down, said she would get one and put me on hold for about 20 minutes. And still no supervisor. When she finally came back on the line, I told her to just cancel it. When I went into the Solutions Store to return the equipment, they took care of everything, including downgrading the internet. Funny thing...I haven't noticed much of a difference in the speed. I am blown away with the ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE, SPEEDY, EFFICIENT and HELPFUL SERVICE I just received from, not only my specialist, JOSH, but also even the greeter at the door was smiling, kind,!and quick to point me in the right direction. JOSH helped me return my cable equipment like boxes and remotes etc (I'm still using their great internet and security services!!) JOSH thank you, it's been a rough few months and I wasn't even able to return my equip. On time and you went above and beyond, communicated clearly and helped me out all within 2 minutes! And for my cable service, why does it freeze on me right in the middle of my favorite shows at the good parts, no less!?!? And why does this picture jumble on me? Their customer service sucks. I have been with them for over 15 years I called to move my install appointment by a few hours and their only option was 4 days later. Who the F is willing to wait over 4 days to get their services moved. They have a monopy on high speed internet so you are stuck but I am drastically reducing my other services. Walked in to the store to return equipment. It looks like DMV in here. 25 people waiting with only a few employees. Regarding service...it has been mixed from horrible to moderate. Freezing channels and internet that kicks you off and a router that was defective all within the first few months. Recently it's been ok, however at the cost of over 200 per month. I've been a cox customer since 2001 and before that, all there was for internet service was dial-up. Internet service has been mostly reliable throughout the years, but the cost has risen continually. I recently decided that cable TV service was something I wanted to get ride of, since it seems that 1/3 of the content is advertising. About a month ago, I returned all of my cable TV equipment, but COX continued to bill me for TV service. I called them but they were completely uncooperative, so I had no choice but to have my bank stop payment. They finally appeared to adjust my account, but of course they are charging me a $25 fee for stop payment. The problem with COX is; they have no competitors, so they just continue to over charge for their service. We all need to have some sort of internet access these days and COX, being the monopoly takes advantage of it's customers. I see a lot of one star reviews, so it's obvious that COX doesn't care and probably will never even read this, but here it is anyway. read more

Cox Cable is clearly incompetent at what they do. At least I hope it is that, and not that they are trying to rip me off. I recently got rid of cable TV and phone from them, as the TV service was horrible, with constant audio interruption and picture freeze. Had dozens of trouble calls to them, with no resolution. Finally got a smart TV, ended the service and took my equipment back to the store. They then charged me a 122.00 equipment charge. When i called to ask why, it was for the returned equipment, which I returned over 2 weeks earlier. They said it would come off automatically when the equipment was returned, but obviously it did not. So, on a Friday they said it would be adjusted, but it was not on the following Monday, until I called screaming at them. Called again the next day to see that it was adjusted, with a 122.00 credit, but the bill amount was still not the correct amount. The representative said it takes time to adjust, and could not seem to understand that the amount was adjusted already and was still incorrect. I blame Cox for crappy training and services, and common core math for his inability to understand. read more

Cox Communications is the worst cable tv service we have ever had, in over 50 plus years, THE WORST. Freezing and tiling and blips with no audio, and now - get this - I can get up to go to the bathroom and when I get back to my program, it's not my program any more, it's some touchy-feely landscape photo with Cox advertising on it and I have to search around to find what I WAS watching. I called tech support and got fed bull crap, something about to conserve data space on the cable if Cox decides you aren't watching the program any more, it defaults to the touchy-feely. Upgrade your equipment, Cox. Don't default me out of the program I am watching even if you think I'm not! Upgrade your damn equipment to handle the job! read more

I consider just going to a different cox store. I know that their customer service on the phone is excellent. But whenever it comes time for me to pay the Cox bill, their bill paying machine is ALWAYS down. The seriously need another location in the north valley, because I'm always waiting atleast 20m to pay a bill. I go to United Beauty Supply two doors down while I wait. The staff can also be rude. I've had great experiences and horrible experiences. They're not really informative about anything. If you ask a question, they ask a counter question. Example: Yesterday I went to pay a bill, and I said, "Can you put me on the list, there are atleast 25 people here, I'm just going to run next door for a second." "Are you leaving?" STOP. ANSWERING. QUESTIONS. WITH QUESTIONS! He didn't give me an estimate after that. And it was honestly a 20m wait. There were people lined up outside of the store, that's how crowded it was, no joke! read more

Now they have changed their email and I cannot get my emails from 3 different addresses. The tech obviously doesn't have a clue as I was told the changes were made only a short time ago but I have had this problem for over 6 months since they put in new servers in the east and why my account is in the east I don't know as we never had Cox 30+ years ago. No help at all and then they tell me I tried too many times with wrong password(LOL). What a joke! No customer service worth being called service. read more

My family has had an ongoing issue with Cox for six months. Tried to go and calmly and get the issue resolved today. When I walked in there was no one at the welcome desk / kiosk. I thought you signed your self personally, so I just put my first name and last initial and someone came up to me and said what are you doing. I thought it was very Curt and that started my visit off wrong. Luckily Tiffany was very helpful and patient with me and her manager Amanda was helpful to you. There was no way to get the issues resolved today but they gave me the customer service line, promised to make notes to please keep services on for 14 days, while we are making a conscious effort to get this resolved and then we're able to help me with an additional account that I had questions on. Cox in general has a long way to go for helping us with this issue but I thought these ladies did a good job today. read more
