a cowrie coffee stall

Starting my Sunday strong... Though this lovely work of art in a cup created by Cowrie Coffee gives you that gentle nudge and not a strong bitterness is definitely a hug in a cup. Offerings here are quite unique with some superfood from beets, mushroom and CBD latte all I've had at some other shops but here is one that caught my attention..."Poi Pounder" yup how about some poi in your morning cup. Using fresh poi with a pinch of salt with vanilla and I got mine with almond milk...available either hot or cold this sip was a refreshing way to start my day. You can find her at three locations and I'm here at the Aloha Market Waikiki in Jefferson Elementary every Sunday from 8a-1p the vibe here is so chill and relaxing as I enjoy my cup under a tent is a great service and with free parking there no easier way than this along with a stamp card with every 10 the next cup is free...this indeed is a good morning! Thank you!

Haven't been here in years!!! But the place still looks exactly the same…read more Milk tea is still non dairy which I love! Sad part is that I forgot how much we loved the almond milk tea, ordered the coconut and almond milk tea and mines was the coconut but the almond was better! But still overall great good milk tea! Really missed this place. Boba is still so soft and delicious! Wish there was a location closer to home! Hope they stay alive went on a Saturday night 7 pm and it was empty.

This Pearl Kai Shopping Center location is very easily accessible with lots of free parking by the shopping center and with a cool vibe with some seating provided by the store as well makes it a great spot to relax and enjoy your sip. Always a fruit tea lover it was the "Honey Green Tea" for me tonight as I wanted something light and refreshing to cleanse my palate and was asked but didn't want any toppings it was a nice and simple drink that I enjoyed throughout the night. The staff is so nice and friendly it was an easy sip and grateful for the extended hours so that I may enjoy something with convenience and is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I'm surprised such a well-known tourist spot opened up a restaurant in a local area, but what do I…read moreknow about opening a restaurant? Whenever I pass by, there seems to be people waiting in the front, especially during dinner time. Who knew this place would be the spot to go to for dinner? From the outside, it reminds me of the restaurant Tiana from The Princess and the Frog built -which make total sense! It's the high, lofty ceilings, big, open, bright lights - they really got the plantation building vibe well. The servers have been great whether they're the quick-service bakery or the servers for our dinner. I remember one dinner, my meal took longer than everyone else at the table and they were apologetic in that and kept checking in and made sure I felt seen. As far as the food, I've tried their cutlet, breakfast pancakes/waffle, fried chicken, and a couple other dishes. Some I ordered myself and some my husband ordered, therefore they are my dishes as well. All of them tasted great and I do have to say, considering how long they've been open, you would think the standards go down at some point, but I have not experienced that at all. The breads, butters, and jellies still slap. And most of all, my husband and other family members I've come here with LOOOVE the kimchi fried rice and/or the pork loco moco. Personally, I used to only think about Liliha Bakery whenever friends from the mainland come to visit. But now, it just may be a nice spot for dinner if we want something a little more than Zippy's.

Perfect savory sear on top of the salmon, and the greens were super fresh with the strawberries and cranberries. Guaranteed I still went and bought coco puffs on the way out, though. Balance, yeah?

However, it does tend to get really busy and sometimes when I see how backed up it is, I just leave. I do feel that they prioritize the drive-thru over walking in because a few times I would just go in to order if the drive-thru is busy and the barista taking my order appears to be taking and making orders for the drive-thru. There were also a few instances I saw where you can't even go in to order and could only go to the drive-thru. I do understand when they say they're short-staffed and I see how it can get pretty busy. I'm just sharing my past experience but I do continue to come here because my drinks are always made to how I like it and I love that they're open a little later than other coffee shops! Some of the drinks I love: Iced Vietnamese Cold Brew (it can be strong sometimes) Iced White Chocolate Latte Iced Hazelnut Latte Iced Blended Cookies & Cream Iced Blended Caramel Iced Blended Cookie Butter (it can be really sweet) Li Hing Lemonade I love when they have Mo'Jo Mondays where they feature a drink for $3. They also do stamp cards and when you fill it up you get a free drink at any size.

They also have marked on the menu which items are Hawai'i exclusive, which is helpful for those visiting from out of town if they want to try something unique. The parking looks small from the main road but it's located in a spot by HMart and Don Quixote so there is plenty places to park. I always recommend their matcha or the lilikoi lemonade, but you you can't go wrong ordering anything on the menu

Luckily, I was able to get the most similar drinks to them. First off, presentation was perfection n' their aesthetic is so cute. The Salted Maple Coffee had a nice hint of salty n' sweet n' went very well with the coffee. I really liked the fresh strawberry puree in the Strawberry Matcha. Was hoping for more of a matcha-y taste throughout the drink. I believe they mentioned in an IG story that they will be sourcing a new matcha soon, so I am eager to see if that will enhance their matcha drinks to be the best it can be. Will have to try it out once it becomes available!
