Since we ordered basically one of everything - here are our recommendations. Appetizers GET THIS: 1. Corn dog shrimp (think shrimp tempura) - light, flavorful, crunchy YUM 2. Cathead biscuits NOT THAT: 1. Street corn queso dip not a favorite for our table. The cheese tasted thick and plastic like... Velveeta vibes... not much flavor Meals GET THIS: 1. Hangar Steak 2. Creole shrimp & grits 3. Chicken fried steak Not that: 1. Horseradish crusted salmon - I didn't try it but the two people who ordered at our table were disappointed and wished they would've gotten one of the above Desserts GET THIS: 1. Bread pudding was delicious! Not overly sweet & the added white chocolate gives it that dazzle dazzle 2. Chocolate Espresso Brownie - perfection NOT THAT: 1. Banana cream pudding. This was a no for the table because it was over the top sweet (I think because of the added butterscotch) 2. Peanut Butter Mousse Pie super super thick & sweet. Didn't taste much other than PB - it was like eating a giant spoonful of it and trying to swallow.

Friendly staff overall. The food fell flat for almost all of us. The salads were fresh and good. However, the ribs were below average. Cornbread was stale and not tasty. Biscuits tasted more like firm bread and not at all flaky/soft. That seemed weird to all of us. Chicken fried steak was soggy and not crispy. Drinks were ok. Not quite sure why the food was subpar, but there were 10 of us who all agreed we wouldn't return for food. There is a swanky little cozy speakeasy in the basement that may be good? We didn't try that.

The truffled deviled eggs were AMAZING! We also had chicken liver mousse and duck fries. We sat on the back patio. Weather was great for it. Entrees were a hit Red Fish, Fried Chicken, beet Salad and flounder. Everyone enjoyed. I also highly recommend the Cherry Limeade vodka cocktail. There was a spicy mocktail that received mixed reviews from the group but I enjoyed it. Ginger beer, Tabasco were definitely to the forefront in the mix.

After making the reservation, I messaged the restaurant to let them know that we would have a doggie with us and to make sure that we were able to sit on the patio to allow for said dog. The restaurant had prompt communication back stating they would note the reservation, which I really appreciate it. They were having a private event so part of the patio was taken however they still had ample space for other patrons to enjoy the outdoor area. Part of three our server I didn't catch their name was just OK. They ended up at one point accidentally pouring water into my wine glass for a refill and they did replace the partial glass of wine. Food wise though was on point. Got the whipped ricotta and bone marrow to start then pork shoulder, beef shoulder and fried chicken for the mains. All was delicious with healthy portions for left overs. The original order included Brussels sprouts as well but those didn't make it to the table nor on the ticket. Beverages were fine as well the area of improvement would be to ask if another round would be needed. As mentioned before the service was just ok as we didn't really get checked on often enough. Overall good experience and place to take friends and fur babies!

Service was one point. The food was presented to feed your eyes before tasting. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. My husband loved the fried bone in pork chop with mashed potatoes and vegetables. I had the special which was chipotle grilled shrimp on a bed of crisp potatoes with a chipotle seasoned sweet potatoes and avocado purée. It was delicious. I wish though that the avocado puree was drizzled on top of the dish instead of on the bottom. That way each bit would have a little of the creamy puree. Looking forward to visiting again.

They gave us a small scoop of pimiento cheese with 2 crackers. It's zesty and creamy and great to have an amuse-bouche before our appetizer came out. We loved the smashed guacamole with cotija cheese and pumpkin seeds ($11). The tortilla chips were so thin and perfectly roasted. So good! I ordered the Texas coast crispy fried shrimp ($22). It was perfectly cooked with lots of crunch. I think there were 8 shrimp. I loved the jalapeño tartar dipping sauce. I skipped the fries and for more black beans instead. What I should have done is gotten more slaw instead. That slaw a medley of red cabbage, green cabbage, carrots and cilantro - it was so well seasoned. Great food, amazing service, fun setting. Loved this spot!

This place is so intoxicating from the aqua blue color palate and funky green art work to the alluring lighting and huge metal plate (looks like something from a ship...also their logo). My brother said the green artwork looked like broccoli. My brother ordered the Idaho trout with coconut rice and Brussel sprouts. I sampled his food and it was all good. The standout was the Brussel sprouts...crispy with this absolutely delicious drizzle. I ordered the Mezze plate with a flavor explosion and many desirable texture. It had lamb kabobs, fresh salad (emphasis on fresh) with thinly sliced cucumbers, finely sliced onions and creamy feta (never had creamy feta), red round sweet peppers, hummus with the most delightful pesto like sauce, and olives. Oh my...what a delicious lunch! Morgan, our server, was attentive and accomodating. She moved us to another table when we notice our table was rocking a little. Great catching up with my brother and excellent meal!

The chicken and waffles were enjoyed but one of those chicken pieces was burned and bitter (see pic) The buffalo chili was on the spicy side and for $16 a small portion. (See pic). My 10-year-old has a tiny appetite, and it was even a small portion for him. The whipped feta appetizer was delicious as were the fries. Very well executed. I'd probably come back.
