White meat chicken & brisket with creamed spinach and fried okra
    James S.

This review is only on the Baton Rouge LA location . Been wanting to try this place and it definitely was not worth the wait. The service was not good from the start. One person working the counter and halfway through taking our order, he stops to tend to a to-go order. Left us waiting for over 5 minutes. We get our food and the sides are slightly warm or cold. The chicken & brisket was cold. The dark meat chicken was dry for the most part. Very disappointed all around. $40 down the drain.

The chicken is always the star! I've only ordered takeout so I can't comment on the service or ambiance, but the chicken has yet to disappoint either by itself or in a salad.

Read the reviews for the keto green bowl and had to try. Wow! So the chicken is definitely not dry. Really flavorful with some different textures. The chipotle ranch they mix it with it makes it. I asked for more because why not. The server was so sweet & ready to help with whatever we needed. Just walk up and order and seat yourself. We could've find anywhere to place our tray after so we left it on the table. Hooping that's what your supposed to do.

We were curious when we saw the menu on Yelp. We are from Texas but had never heard of the place. When I saw the keto bowl on the menu, I had to try it! Oh I was not disappointed!! It's like you put all your dinner veggies layered in a bowl, chicken cracklings, tender chicken and dressing. When I got my bowl, it didn't look pretty but the flavors did not disappoint! My husband had the Monterey bowl and enjoyed that as well. I almost changed to that as we were ordering. Recommend!!

The food is always great and fresh! The service and friendliness of the staff is incredible! Pass by those supermarket stale roasted chickens! You can actually watch their chickens roast! Menu is also a lot more than chicken! Highly recommended!

Three Enchiladas with Mexican Street Corn and Spanish Rice

I have visited this location only one time prior and that was to pick up the rotisserie chicken that my parents absolutely love. Today I decided to have lunch in the restaurant. I had the 3 chicken enchiladas with Mexican street corn and Spanish rice. I also had the homemade lemonade. The tomatillo sour cream sauce has a very fresh and slightly spicy bite, which pairs perfectly with the white meat chicken. The Spanish rice was a bit dry but still had an overall nice flavor. I was disappointed in the Mexican street corn as this is one of my fav sides whenever I eat Mexican dishes. It was not fresh so the corn was a bit hard in texture and the cilantro had wilted to the point that it lost most of its flavor. The homemade lemon taste really good so I had to get a quick refill on my way out. The restroom and dining area itself was very clean. The staff was also very friendly.

Stopped by this spot after spotting it in a well placed and populated shopping center. The parking lot was very busy and bustling with lunch time traffic. And of course, I couldn't pass on a place serving "rotisserie style" chicken! I ordered the quarter white which came with 2 sides and a roll and of course I ordered an extra side just because! The chicken was well seasoned and not dry at all! Great flavor and cooked to perfection! The sides were not so impressive. This is what knocked the rating down to a 4-star rating. To begin with the fried okra was fresh which was great, but had not a sprinkle of salt. The advertised "baked" Mac N Cheese was not baked at all but actually a mixture of macaroni noodles and basic orange colored cheese sauce. It also had a little tartness to it. The "twice baked potatoes" were nothing more than has browns mixed with melted cheese and butter. Great part is, I was able to FULLY ENJOY my roll! It was soft, fluffy, and just the right compliment to a good 'ol cowboy meal. I was very pleased with the vast menu options as wel as the customer service!

We usually order via Instacart/Uber Eats, as we did this time. Consistent quality, good portions for the price. I love the banana pudding.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with stellar customer service that set the tone for our entire experience. Our waiter, Justice, was truly delightful. It was an absolute pleasure being served by him. He was incredibly friendly, patient and attentive, especially with our party of 14, which included children. His attention to detail and welcoming demeanor stood out, and his positive energy elevated our experience. Justice went above and beyond, and his efforts did not go unnoticed! The entire staff working on Saturday, April 4 was top notch. Everyone we encountered was warm, helpful and professional. From the food and drinks to the atmosphere and overall service, everything exceeded our expectations. I can say this was a 5 Star Brunch experience. I will definitely be returning the next time I'm in Louisiana!

We specifically found this restaurant because we searched online for gluten free restaurants, so we were excited to see that you offered a separate gluten free menu. However, there are some serious issues with the accuracy of that menu that need to be addressed. When we asked about the pork rinds brought to the table, we were told they are fried in the same oil as everything else. That in itself is your choice as a restaurant, and we understand cross contamination can happen. We were also told the french fries are cooked in beef tallow in a separate fryer, but they are not considered gluten free, which is why they are not listed on the gluten free menu. Again, that is completely understandable. What is not acceptable is having items listed on the gluten free menu that are not actually gluten free due to cross contamination. The pork rinds and cheddar filled tater tots were both listed on the gluten free menu despite being fried in shared oil with gluten containing foods. For someone with celiac disease, this is not a small mistake or a dietary preference issue. My husband has celiac disease, and if he had eaten the pork rinds based on trusting the gluten free menu, he could have become extremely ill and potentially needed hospital care. Our daughter has gluten sensitivity, and she would have been sick for the rest of the night as well. Many people still treat gluten free as if it is just a fad diet, but for people with celiac disease, it is a serious autoimmune condition that causes real physical harm. To the OWNER: please educate your staff and kitchen on what gluten free truly means, and update the menu so customers can trust it. People with celiac disease should not have to risk getting sick because menu items are mislabeled.

The crawfish were flavorful, seasoned well, and priced right, which is honestly the perfect combination when you're sitting down ready to eat. They had that messy, not really spicy, addictive quality that keeps you reaching for "just one more" until the tray is empty. I also tried the buffalo wings. They weren't that great, if I'm being honest, but I was hungry so they got the job done. The crawfish are clearly the star of the show here anyway. The atmosphere felt relaxed and unpretentious, exactly the kind of place you want for seafood with friends, cold drinks, and a table full of shells piling up by the minute. If you're wondering whether I'll be back, I already have.

We were in a large alcove at the back of the restaurant. It was spacious and elegant, even with the table ended up being almost entirely filled. Our waiter was enthusiastic and patient with our large party. Refills and check-ins were timed well. The drink selection was pretty extensive. Food was delicious and all delivered within minutes of one another (no one was stuck waiting for long). Burger was cooked to perfection and not TOO hot. I hate when food is so hot in temperature that you can't take a bite. The chocolate cake was good, but the whip cream tasted kinda fake/oily. The cake itself was medium density and had a slightly salted finish. It paired perfectly with the frosting which was very rich and extra sweet. A delightful pairing. For my drink, plus a double shot of whiskey, the burger and dessert, it came to just over $100. That feels expensive. Take that as you will. I wouldn't return mostly due to price. We didn't have a prefixed menu, so we got to order whatever we would have liked from the regular menu. There was such a good variety of options! I got the Brussels sprouts and boudin dip to start. I highly recommend both of these as the portion sizes were huge! The Brussels sprouts were burnt and balsamic like, which is my absolute favorite. The boudin dip came with so many crackers and was delicious. For my meal, I got the chicken paillard. It was good but the portion was very small compared to the appetizers in my opinion. The chicken was very moist and flavorful. It filled me up because I had two appetizers, but I don't think it would be enough for me without having something to go with it.
