They have a yearly service contract that includes having a technician inspect both units and make sure everything is in good condition for the winter and summer seasons. The contract also covers emergency service calls during regular business hours, with an additional fee for after-hours calls. Since my dad passed away, FH Furr has been especially good about keeping both my mom and me informed. They contact my mom when service is due and also send me a text or email, so I can stay in the loop. Every technician who has come out to the house has been great. They take pictures of the work they perform, and when they're finished, they go over everything with you, explaining whether anything needs to be repaired or replaced and recommending anything that might help improve the units. If I'm unable to be there during a service visit, they take the time to call me afterward and review the technician's report with me, after first going over everything with my mom. That kind of communication and consideration means a lot to our family. Overall, I would definitely recommend FH Furr in Selbyville. Their technicians have been great, and I appreciate how well they communicate and keep us informed about the condition of the equipment and any recommended work.

I got very ill from gas in house. After 2 days they put sealant on gas lines. They said everything was fixed. Why they went out and messed with my ac to fix furnace is beyond me. They caused a 3 yr old ac unit to stop working. It had worked perfectly till they touched it. Gave me a price of $332 to $2,700 to fix it. Something they screwed up. They also burned up my thermostat. I have hired another company to fix it at half the lowest price. Never hire this company for any repairs. Besides screwing everything up I could have died from gas exposure. I demand a refund!!

They offered to refund but since they did the work we don't feel right taking the refund. We just would have appreciated being asked for approval to do the work in the first place. We asked Rays and Sons to come out for an estimate. They came out. Said they'd be back in a week. In that time we NEVER got an estimate so we thought they were coming back to look into it further/troubleshoot a problem and then give an estimate. Nope. They came back out (again, never gave an estimate), did some minor work that looked more like troubleshooting to find out what the work was going to be and then give an estimate. Instead we were hit with a $400 bill for barely any work! Absolutely ridiculous. No way in hell we will ever use them again. This is the second time we've called them for something. The first time seemed pricey but it was work we needed done immediately and didn't have time to look around for a better option. Listen to me when I say take the time and find someone else!

I called Collins mechanical on 8/30/22, requesting our air filter be changed on our AC unit…read more Collins mechanical asked if they had permission to come out to my house on 9/2/22 to change the filter and asked if I would be home. I agreed to 9/2/22 and stated yes I would be home. They no showed and never came on 9/2/22. I called them on 9/6/22, questioning why they did not show. No excuse was given, but then they assured me they would send someone that day and again asked if I would be home. I agreed. Again, no showed. At that point, I decided to move forward with a more reliable HVAC company. A week later I come home from work to a bill for $148.00 stuck in my screen door from Collins mechanical stating they came from 12:45pm to 1pm and changed the filter. I did not authorize them to be on my property to change the filter at this point, after their failed attempts at showing up to do the job over a week previous to this. After they did the job, I noticed a hose was pulled out of my crawl space and laying on the ground, which was not like that previous to their unwelcome visit. While changing the air filter, their employee ripped out a bracket that was holding up a hose that is essential to my propane heating system working. He left it like that, ripped out and laying on the ground to collect water from the rain. I then had to get a reliable HVAC company to come out and fix the mess Collins Mechanical had left for me. $148.00 for 15 minutes of their not authorized time for them to change an $8 air filter, and completely destroy my crawlspace. Costing me more money in the end.
