I was condescended to, bullied and threatened here today by a sales person and it was so shocking I…read moredon't know what to say. This dude was so instantly nasty to me, dismissive, condescending, just awful. I literally don't even know what I did wrong but try and buy a stack of books and try to get a discount cos I was buying a whole stack! Never ever before met a rude person here in the twenty years I've been coming (since before ravens stadium was built and they were across the street). I've bought thousands of dollars worth of appliances here (2 $500 stoves, a $1000 fridge, two dishwashers, and two washers and dryers), not to mention hundreds upon hundreds worth of lumber, trim, windows, doors, miscellaneous hardware, etc. I bought 400 dollars worth of upholstery cloth one time alone. I come in, I don't mess around, I know what I need and I am a friendly nice customer. (Because they use your phone number when you buy, also? they should be able to SEE this). I was buying BOOKS. Books are not their main business (and to be honest their prices are so out of scale it's crazy compared to thrifts--10 dollars each for a used hard over cover book from the 80s? I think there was one vintage item or two--I collect golden book kids encyclopedias) In the past they've basically tried to GIVE me books I wanted to buy! I wasn't buying anything from the "special glass cases. I asked Josh what they could do for me on these 20 books that I promise no one wants. (I promise). I picked up so many cos I have always been given a little break on stuff here! It's literally the way I thought they do business!!!! Nope. Not a single red cent. Off ANY book EXCEPT one they wanted 20 dollars for that didn't cost 20 new! (No it was not old or vintage!) I had 100 bucks of books in my cart he couldn't do 80? He wouldn't even discuss it and when I was frankly totally taken aback by this since it's so counter to EVERY EXPERIENCE IVE HAD THERE FOR OVER 20 YEARS--he threatened to call security on me!? For trying to bargain?????? These were all crap books. I want them for myself and to show my husband AND I make art from them. I'd have paid literally 10 for every set of four of these books at thrift. They wanted 10 and 15 dollars EACH. It wasn't just he wouldn't deal at all on price. He treated me like a criminal for no reason at all. He had his hand on his walkie talkie and when I kind of laughed just thinking he was driving a bargain he said he was going to call security on me!!!! He did this because I had the temerity to say "come on, not any discount at all? I'm buying in bulk!" And I mentioned I've never had them not come down on price on anything ever! I am a short, friendly 53 year old mom. fyi. What the living heck is going on with this place? It was SUCH an unpleasant and weird experience. I feel horrible. I will take my business to loading dock.

We've been without hot water for two weeks (and counting)...in sub-freezing temperatures because of…read morecompany-wide incompetence. Our tankless water heater stopped working on a Friday afternoon and flashed a code. We contacted WMH because we have a service contract with them for the entire house. They wouldn't send anyone out until the following afternoon. The technician identified additional parts that were needed to complete the repair and ordered them from the manufacturer to be delivered directly to our house ASAP to avoid hassles with their warehouse (very appreciated). The problem is that he failed to order the parts related to the initial code that prompted the service call in the first place. We were out of town (thankfully) for several days and when we returned on a Saturday, the part was waiting for us at home. We called WMH first thing on Sunday, and the wouldn't send anyone until the following day. At this point, we'd been without a water heater/hot water for 10 days. In literal freezing temperatures that prevented snow from melting for weeks. No sense of urgency on their end whatsoever. By noon on Monday, no one had come to the house or called. We called to get a status update and were told that the technician didn't find the part in the warehouse, so he didn't come to the house. No one called to tell us this. If they had, we could have told them that WE HAVE THE PART AT THE HOUSE! They send he would come out later that afternoon to make the repair. Then they called back after an hour to say, never mind, the job takes too long so they won't send anyone until the next day (Tuesday). It's Tuesday (12 days without hot water), and the technician finally appears in the morning. After working for four hours and installing the new part, he tells us that the prior tech failed to order the parts needed to correct the flashing code (i.e., the reason we called them in the first place). They had to order the part, wait for it to come in, and then schedule another service appointment. We asked that it be sent directly to our house so we could keep track of it and use another service provider if we wanted. He agreed. By Thursday (our 14th day without hot water), we had to call WMH to ask when we could expect delivery of the part because it hadn't shown up yet. They confirmed it had been ordered but would get back to us with an ETA. They never got back to us. Friday morning, (15th day without hot water) we called WMH to get an ETA on the part. They said it had been shipped directly to their warehouse (contrary to our wishes) and that they'd be sending someone to make the repair that afternoon. We're still waiting for that technician to show. In the meantime, we saw an Oliver van pull into our neighbors' driveway and promptly setup a maintenance contract with them and will be using them to finish this job if WMH is yet another no-show. Maintenance contract: We have a service contract with WMH for several years and not once have they showed up on the scheduled service date. Nor have they called us to let us know they weren't showing. So we miss work that day and then have to miss work another day for when they actually do decide to show up--but they only show up if you micromanage them. And we do not have time for that, especially when their customer service is abysmal and their services are objectively over-priced!!!

I had the opporrunity in February of 26 after a two week long freeze…read more I have a 175 year old house in Clayron, due to the cold i had plumbing issues thinking my pipes froze in my upstairs. I called Plumbing Masters , my phone call was answered by Matt about 9 am. He had three or four calls ahead of me but said he would be here by the end of the day. My upstairs bathroom which is over my kitchen was leaking down over my stove. Even shutting off the water to the house didnt stop the water from coming down over my recent ( and very expensive) kitchen remodel. Matt texted me that he was on his way in mid afternoon and showed up much faster than I has expected. We met on my front porch and as soon as he entered my foyer Matt slipped on shoe coverings, I was very impressed. Matt assessed the situation and went right to work and explained how much this was going to cost. Turns out I needed both my tub and toilet " snaked" since they both didnt share the same draining system and ai needed my toilet upstairs disconnected ans connected as a part of getting my project done. Upon completion of the job Matt explained everything to me , cleaned up and packed away his equipment. I gladly paid him for the project and above and beyond courtesy and effort to remedy my situation. I cannot recommend Matt and Plumbing Masters high enough and will be a customer for life. When I called, they told me it would be a FREE ESTIMATE. However, another company happened to show up at the exact same time due to an online inquiry I had started. Because the other tech was already there looking at the pump, I sent the Delaware Plumbing tech away without him ever lifting a finger or doing a diagnosis. The tech immediately got aggressive and demanded a $65 dispatch fee just for pulling into my driveway. I NEVER signed anything agreeing to this fee, and I shouldn't have to pay a dime for a "free estimate" where zero work was done. When I refused to pay, things got disgusting. I called their office to sort it out and spoke to Linda, the woman who took my initial appointment. She was incredibly hostile and explicitly threatened to send me to collections over a measly $65! They even text-blasted a voice recording of my emergency phone call to my phone as a petty bullying tactic to scare me. Trying to extort and harass a homeowner while their house is actively flooding is predatory. These companies should be ashamed of themselves. It is disgusting--all about the money! Delaware Plumbing sucks. Linda and the rest of this company can kick rocks!
