They were able to repair the issues without having to replace entire lengths of duct work. But at 3AM I woke up hot, and it was 77 degrees in the house - worse than it had been before the duct work was fixed. I called and left a message on the company voicemail, left my number, and asked them to call me in the morning. Unfortunately, they never called. At all. A friend suggested I try restarting the system, since I mentioned that the last time they shut the system down, they switched off the breaker without first shutting the system down. So I shut the system down at the thermostat, then the breaker, waited five minutes and then turned it all back on. That seemed to work. Then I called the company so that they could make sure their techs did not do this to anyone else's system, and to comment that they never bothered to call me back. The woman who answered the phone first said this was the first she was hearing of my issue. Then she said she had heard I called, but she had been told I would call back, and I did not call (implying I was at fault). Then she kept talking over me rather than listen to what I was calling about. It was more important to her that she defend herself than listen to the customer. She never said I'm sorry. I had to ask her if she would stop talking to listen. Twice. Then I told her what the tech had done, and that I had solved it myself. That alone would have been enough to turn me off of the company, but the owner just called me. Not to apologize for the misunderstanding, but to say "I did call you!" He said he did call, but the number on the caller ID, and not the number I left in my message, which is also the same contact number on my account. He did not say he was sorry for the confusion. Then he started to argue with me that the techs only turned the breaker off on the inside unit, not the outside unit. I told him he was incorrect, as both the techs and I had been looking at the breakers together, that both breakers were turned off, and that one was even labeled "Outside AC Cond." However, he continued to tell me that did not happen. I finally told him that I was not going to stay on the phone and argue with him, and that I would not use his company again. Then he yelled at me that I was "very rude!" Any company that calls up a customer that has an issue, for whatever set of circumstances, just to say "you are wrong" and not to apologize, will not keep customers coming back. So if you'd like to use a company that is going to argue instead of trying to resolve an issue, call Above and Beyond. Because the owner went above and beyond to ruin their reputation with me. Customer service is not their forte.

My family does not recommend Blades HVAC. We have a geothermal system that had a slow leak at the…read morecirculation pump. On the pump housing, Blades put a service sticker with their phone number, approximately three inches from where the leak was happening. I thought great, I will call them and they will take care of it. When the service technician came out, he took a look at where the leak was and said that they do not service geothermal loop pumps, and charged me $125 to come say that; he was not even here ten minutes. I told him that I felt that I was being ripped off because I had described where the leak was, and they still sent someone to tell me they don't work on that part. The tech said I could take that up with the office. I called the office to describe that I would leave a critical review because of my experiences with them, and give them a chance to make it right. The guy in the office literally laughed at me and said something to the effect that just because a sticker was on the part doesn't mean they service that exact part. Their four-hour service windows without updates make it difficult to plan when they may be able to come out. Had to reschedule a prior service call because the technician did not come out until about 12:15 when they had given me a window from 8-12. I do not recommend using Blades HVAC. All Temp first came to our house in May of 2024 for trouble with an existing system installed by…read moreanother contractor in 2015 and moved by yet a different contractor in 2020. A few technicians came to the house over a few months and with the unit under warranty they had to order a blower motor for the unit that took a bit to come in from the manufacturer. The last tech that came out was Glenn and he worked to get a few door panels that were damaged by the previous contractor in 2020 replaced under warranty. I appreciated the level of service back in 2024 and when the system recently had an issue with the compressor, I contacted All Temp for an emergency call and then decided to go with a new system. Glenn still works at the company, and I spoke briefly with him over the phone and Dylan came out to do a survey of the house and gave me three recommendations on replacement units. I would also recommend an Energize Delaware assessment because there are rebates to be taken advantage of for insulation, crawl space encapsulation, and an energy efficient system. The lower priced model didn't fall into the rebate and so of the remaining two we choose the American Standard Platinum 20 SEER2 variable speed model paired with Platinum variable speed air handler. They were able to get the installation on the schedule quickly (for summer) and Dylan takes the extra step of taking the rebate off the price and putting it in through Energize Delaware. Tony, Matthew, and Ken came out, were very professional and did the install in half a day; great teamwork. We also went with a thermostat that connects to our Wi-Fi that allows All Temp the ability to view remotely if we have any issue with the system. Shane was scheduled just over two weeks later and did a quality assurance inspection of the work. The truth is that Glenn sold me a system in 2024 with his level of service and follow-through. This company is worth a look if you need work done on your heating and air conditioning system.

Removed a 10+ year old electric hot water heater from under the steps and installed a Bradford White 40 gallon lowboy electric hot water heater with an aluminum catch pan which is discharging into the crawl space. Also installed a new ¾" shut off valve and stainless steel braided supply lines. 2. Replaced two leaking lav sink faucets. One in the first floor powder room and the second floor hall bathroom. Also on the first floor lav sink replaced the hot and cold shut off valves and both supply lines. 3. Removed a leaking 1/2" x 3/8" supply valve in the kitchen cabinet which was supplying cold water to the R.O. filters. Also installed a new valve. 4. Did an overall visual inspection of the valves, toilets, tub/showers and crawl space and at this time found no active leaks or fixture failures.
