I was told they have window unit, but no one to deliver it. We are a senior couple not feeling any love from Above and Beyond. Sorry we signed a service agreement.

My family does not recommend Blades HVAC. We have a geothermal system that had a slow leak at the…read morecirculation pump. On the pump housing, Blades put a service sticker with their phone number, approximately three inches from where the leak was happening. I thought great, I will call them and they will take care of it. When the service technician came out, he took a look at where the leak was and said that they do not service geothermal loop pumps, and charged me $125 to come say that; he was not even here ten minutes. I told him that I felt that I was being ripped off because I had described where the leak was, and they still sent someone to tell me they don't work on that part. The tech said I could take that up with the office. I called the office to describe that I would leave a critical review because of my experiences with them, and give them a chance to make it right. The guy in the office literally laughed at me and said something to the effect that just because a sticker was on the part doesn't mean they service that exact part. Their four-hour service windows without updates make it difficult to plan when they may be able to come out. Had to reschedule a prior service call because the technician did not come out until about 12:15 when they had given me a window from 8-12. I do not recommend using Blades HVAC. I was told I was on the delivery list, but since there were a number of emergencies, my propane delivery was delayed. Everyone I spoke with at the Middletown office was so nice and reassuring that I wouldn't run out of propane, and told me how many days of propane I had left in our 500 gallon tank. I really appreciated their kindness, patience, and knowledge. I feel very secure having Schagrin Propane.

One time "John" answered and I told him I was interested in an HVAC maintenance and service contract. He rattled off some numbers and promised to email them to me that night. Never got anything. I then called that number over and over, leaving messages that again were never returned. Finally, a woman answered and explained that she was in a front office and could give me no info (??) about service contracts, but she said if I called 800-921-0392 an answering service would take a message and forward to someone who would call back. She also promised me that John would send me the promised info that day. Not. So I called the 800 number and left a message for someone to please call me. Nothing. I give up. Too many other HVAC companies that care. I wonder how if they respond to customers needing emergency service.

I switched to Sherman because I learned that their techs do not work on sales commissions. They did everything great and did not try to sell me anything! Rosie worked efficiently with me to schedule visits. I am so glad that I switched to Sherman.

Then they send me a bill for another visit for $579 and a proposed replacement of the condenser coil for over $2,000. Unnecessary! Another company repaired a small leak near copper ending for under $100. Looks like Sherman Tech had no idea what to do. Of course, never communicated with the owner. They just sending us bills! We terminated the contract, and hope no one gets stuck with this group of expensive and unreliable service. Good luck!
