It was is indeed, in superb condition! We struck a deal, and me being in California and not coming east for three weeks, they stored the car for me, detailed and serviced it. Upon arrival, I found the car to be far and away BETTER than I had expected! I highly recommend Coventry to anyone looking for a car. Brought my wife's Lexus in for a brake issue. Got an appointment within a few days. I was told that the pads and rotors needed to be replaced even though I did them within the last 2 months. However I was told that when I changed them, I was the one that messed up when I replaced the rotors. They told me exactly what I did wrong and never let me know that what I did was a stupid move. The cost to replace the parts was very reasonable and Elder treated us very nicely and would surely recommend this business as very friendly and honest. Something you don't find anywhere anymore. Stay far away from this place!! I bought a 2013 porsche cayenne turbo. Brought it back a week later when the ebrake faulted and the brakes stayed locked up. Helder the service manager tells me theres no code and doesnt know how to fix it. I asked them to send it to porsche repeatedly, he tells me they dont know how to repair either. I dont recall the time line but soon after he calls and asks how often i use the ebrake? Followed by he has someone in mass that will pass inspection for me, cause it failed, also kept asking me to pick it up and he'll call me if he hears from someone to tell him how to fix it. Told him repeatedly ill pick it up when its fixed. After two weeks he installs two new electric motors, no luck. Than tells me he's gonna install a new control module. Now three weeks in he calls and told me he sent it to porsche for a module calibration. At this point my 30 day warranty expired while they had it. I asked scott the salesman if he can extend it. He refused and told me they have to much money into this car also refuse me a rental. To sum this up hoffman porsche tells me coventry put in a used module and they couldnt program it, Porsche took 3 weeks to fix. I finally get it back after 6 weeks and two days later the car goes in to limp mode on my way to work. So back to coventry it went. Got it back a few days later and i am left with both passenger side air suspension leaking, a oil leak, a bad coolant leak and a clunk that i mentioned when coventry had it. The shop claims to be a high end european shop, im pretty sure they would screw up an oil change. Both scott and helder are crooks and they sell lemons. read more

Just bought a used Audi from CMC, I have to say the experience was incredible compared to the large car dealerships that I've gone through in the past. The people who run CMC actually love these cars, they're not just random sales people/mechanics who happen to work at an import car lot. You can tell that they hand-pick the inventory and they know the ins and outs of these cars. Sales experience: I spoke with Scott via email and phone before going there for a test drive, and he was extremely responsive with calling/emailing me back. He answered all of the questions I had about the car, gave me the price I was looking for, and gave me a fair amount for my trade-in. (Side note: I previously brought my trade-in to the goof-ball dealership where I originally purchased it and serviced it for the last 7 years and they offered me less for it than CMC.) Inventory/Service Comments: I don't have much experience with their routine service offerings, but you can tell that CMC takes good care of the cars on their lot. You can expect their inventory to be running in top-shape and if any problems arise while you're looking at a car they'll take car of it without hassle. All of their cars are super clean and they have a nice selection for being such a small shop. read more

Absolute nightmare. Brought my car their for an aftermarket clutch, their poor decision ended up costing my 5000$. Refused to accept fault for damages. So, I have a 2013 Audi S5 with bolt-ons / tune. Clutch started slipping so I brought it to them to install a $2800 JHM 3R performance clutch. They installed it for +-$1300... Initially everything was great, first few hundred miles was fine, but after about 1000Miles i know something was wrong... Started not being able to get the car into gear under acceleration. Brought it back to Coventry and took a "mechanic" for a test drive. He claimed I must have messed up my syncros in my transmission etc. Anyways, kept driving it for another 1000miles until it got to the point where I couldn't shift. They claimed they would COVER the labor/parts if it was an issue they were at fault for when i dropped it off for pulling the transmission off etc... Ends up, the bolts that were holding the pressure plate to the flywheel loosened up.. In the process of loosening up, it allowed the pressure plate to rattle around, putting the whole assembly out of balancing and destroying the entire clutch/transmission. Its a long story, but to sum things up, they basically claimed ZERO responsibility, completely pointing the finger at me.. first claiming "you drive this car hard" well its a $2800 performance clutch, installed properly it should be driven hard... Then they claimed "I provided the wrong loctite for the screws" ( i supplied RED loctite, the screws ended up having a white flakey residue on them which wasn't red loctite..). JHM (the clutch company) had seen this happen before ONLY if the bolts were not torqued to spec, and proper loctite was used. So, was obviously an install error.. The owner was very involved, he was polite, although he wouldn't budge and would not claim fault for the work done (probably because he knew it would cost 5k+ if he did...). The mechanics that worked on the car were on the other hand ridiculous, to the point were one of them was 5" from my face, bright red, screaming/spitting for me calling him a "liar" about stating he used the wrong loctite. Can no longer recommend this shop to anyone since this, and at this point i figured it was best that i warn future performance car enthusiasts to stay far away. Ended up buying a used transmission, having the clutch rebuilt, and putting it back together myself. 2k miles and no issues so far. read more

If you're even considering a car on this lot, go for it. You will not regret your purchase. I came to the lot knowing what I wanted, and Scott didn't waste my time trying to point me to anything else. He sat me down in the car I was interested in, and let me take it for a spin. Returning to the lot, he laid down an estimate, and told me everything he knew about the car including condition of the brakes and tires. I asked about a few warnings on the iDrive, and he assured me all would be taken care of when I came back. Brakes? "We'll do pads and rotors fronts, the backs are new" Tires? "We'll give you brand new tires before you leave the lot" I put down a deposit, and setup a time to pick it up. The car had been fully detailed, the warning lights were fixed, and tires and brakes were done. He gave me a little bit of bad news -- the light for the TPMS system was still on even after replacing the module, so it will have to come back for that... Not a problem! He was very flexible with when I would drop it off, and told me if I have any other problems between now and then to let him know. Dropped it off, got a loaner, and had my car back problem solved the next day. I really got the feeling Scott would do anything for a customer. I also get the feeling that he wouldn't waste his time trying to turn crap cars. All of the cars on the lot were gems, and even the loaner, which originally was a car for sale on his lot, had a stack of maintenance records a mile high. I will definitely be coming back for my next purchase (or if I can convince my girlfriend to move from her Toyota to something European ;) read more

Well after dealing with them with a car that was nothing going but issues and excuses, figured we would let them make it right.. Needless to say after being charged $172.00 for an oil change without being given the cost of service beforehand, we will never go back again. Not only was the price ridiculous, the work was performed by the Salesman, not a qualified auto mechanic worthy of the $92 hourly rate. After a pretty bad previous experience (three weeks to replace a wheel) I decided to give them one more shot when my 99 Mercedes was acting sluggish. Coventry Motorcar told me that it "definitely needs to have the transmission rebuilt" and gave a $4K estimate. I took it to a transmission shop for a second opinion where they found the transmission to be fine. Apparently, Coventry Motorcar didn't even take the car out of winter mode when road testing (a Mercedes switch for winter driving which disables first gear). I then took it to the dealership which quickly diagnosed an electronics/speed controller issue which, when replaced, completely fixed the sluggishness problem. But I guess I could have spent $4K with Coventry Motorcar for a needless repair and still have my original problem? read more
