I asked for a copy of the contract and magically the last three pages read "36 months". A signature is not on those pages. If you want ADT be sure to call them and make sure you're working with them and not an "authorized dealer". I will also be contacting ADT to ask them to remove the company's authorization status since they were unable to end a contract that I'm extremely dis satisfied with. Read the fine print of your contract before signing. Our hardware stopped working properly after 1…read moreyear and instead of sending someone out to replace the hardware ADT opted to troubleshoot over the phone which did help for a week or two and the hardware went back to being junk. Upon canceling your contract the sales rep will do everything they can to keep you with ADT by offering you discounts you should gotten in the first place. They will even offer you new hardware but they will NOT offer any type of discount toward a cancellation if your needing one. Your cancellation fee can be upwards of $500 up front and then a "request" is sent before a cancellation is even made. They are one of if not the oldest in the home security realm but they are out of touch with new times and prices. Ring security is the best bang for your buck and they do offer direct emergency services and you'll have zero issues with connection and video. Just stay away from ADT because when you want or need to break up with them they become the worst ex-boy/girlfriend you can imagine.

I recently asked them for my installer code because I wanted to install a motion detector to my system. Their response was "we do not know your installer code". I was doing the work myself because they quoted me a price double what I could get and install myself. The fact that they told me they did not have my installer code was clearly FALSE AND A LIE and a betrayal of my trust of them. If they cannot be honest with this, how can I trust them with the security of my home. Without the installer code I have been forced to purchase a whole new system because their system will not work unless you know the installer code. I feel that I am paying for piece of mind that my security company operates with honesty and integrity and I can trust them to protect my home. Once I determine who the new security company will be, I will update this review with their name and information.

It was a major upgrade from my current system. The video cameras were replaced, my AT&T landline is no longer needed for the system, and the monitoring and some maintenance can be done via an application on a PC, tablet, or phone. Brian and Mike took the time to walk me through the new systems and answered all my questions. Some history - Early Warning Alarm had taken over the maintenance and monitoring of my old alarm and video surveillance system back in January 2016. The maintenance and monitoring from my original vendor, ADT, had become quite expensive. Over the next 2 years, I called on Early Warning Alarm for various maintenance tasks which include, replace alarm battery, replace carbon monoxide detector, and replace a keypad. I recommend Early Warning Alarm to take over maintenance and monitoring of existing alarm systems and install new alarm and video alarm systems.

Another company I had spoken with had quoted me more than twice the price, I guess because the cameras they use are fancy or something? I don't know, because the ones Ernesto installed are great and doing precisely what I wanted. When I was on my search for home security cameras, I kept mostly finding things like ADT, SimpliSafe, or something else that was largely about selling you the monitoring plan; the equipment I think was less expensive but then you're paying for the monitoring. I am not generally a fan of the everything-is-now-a-subscription-or-service thing nor do I want to be beholden to whatever rates a company decides to charge. Some of those also were self-install options, which didn't interest me at all. They hooked up several cameras at our home to provide various views, including the basement since I wanted to be able to see what's happening down there when I'm upstairs. The system has a hard drive that can support up to eight cameras. We can save photos, videos, and also play back to see what happened earlier in the recording on the various cameras. Although they could have provided a monitor, we don't really have a place for it so we simply have an app on our phone through which we can view the cameras. I'm not sure why, but I thought it would go much more quickly than it did. I have no frame of reference to know how long it should have taken so that's not a criticism. It took about six hours total but having it done well was the most important part. I would highly the crew at 606 installs for their professionalism, reasonable rate, and excellent work.

I recently bought a office building and one of my tenants moved out. Needless to say they must have been running the Internet out of that office. There were tons of cables coming out everywhere (i.e ceilings, walls,closet, underneath carpets). I kid you not must have been literally a ton of copper there. There basically was no room above the drop ceiling if you can picture this. Well CTS came and cleaned up the mess, rewired all the jacks and closets. They were even nice enough to update some of the closets though out the building with some of the equipment left behind by my previous tenants. Good Price, Professional, and project was done on schedule. No complaints No mess. I would recommend CTS.

We called AVDG in Chicago because our Sonos system was having problems, cutting in and out. A…read morecouple of men came to our house and thought that the problem with Sonos was our internet. They thought it had been set up wrong, so they reconfigured the modem and the Asus routers that send Wi-Fi around our big house. They said we should get the new modem that Xfinity was offering for free. We got the new modem (gateway) from the Xfinity store and set it up. Then one man from AVDG came to our house and removed one of the two Asus routers and set the other to work with the new Xfinity modem. He also reconfigured the Sonos system to work better (made a sonosnet) with the older components (Sonos Connect) that we have. It was working fine when he left. But now the music still cuts out frequently. Sometimes it's just a brief disturbance, but other times it's so frequent and annoying that we just have to turn the music off. It's possible that the problem is with our hardware (the 2 amplifiers or the Sonos components ). So, after spending more than $800 the original problem remains. We probably have a better internet and WiFi system, but we were not having problems with that before.

Company - As anyone is these days, my condo association is…read morevery cost-conscious. We received several bids for the work we needed and Vintech was able to beat them by far. They were really willing to help us and achieved a lot of savings even with upgraded products. Vincent and Blanca have been very attentive and easy to work with. Vincent was even willing and able to retrofit some of our older cameras with newer wiring so we're set for future upgrades. Workmanship - Initially I was very concerned with getting a new security system because of all the added wires and equipment peaking out from all areas, but the techs that installed our system did an amazing job at hiding everything. I can't imagine what all goes into stringing these cables through ceilings entails, and it all happened so fast, they basically started one day and 5 cameras appeared on walls/ceilings/stair bays the next day. Product - Of course after great prices and excellent workmanship, there had to be something skimped somewhere like the DVR/cameras, but they didn't! Cameras have an ultra wide angle with excellent color and sharpness. This is from the experience with previous Sony system that we were using that was a bit older, but also high quality from ADT - the pictures look great and the DVR is very easy and fast to work with. Everything from our interactions with Vintech to the final product up and running have been met with great value. I highly recommend them!
