I've been wanting to get cameras at my home since moving here a bit over a year ago. I don't even remember how I stumbled upon 606 installs but it was lucky. Another company I had spoken with had quoted me more than twice the price, I guess because the cameras they use are fancy or something? I don't know, because the ones Ernesto installed are great and doing precisely what I wanted. When I was on my search for home security cameras, I kept mostly finding things like ADT, SimpliSafe, or something else that was largely about selling you the monitoring plan; the equipment I think was less expensive but then you're paying for the monitoring. I am not generally a fan of the everything-is-now-a-subscription-or-service thing nor do I want to be beholden to whatever rates a company decides to charge. Some of those also were self-install options, which didn't interest me at all. They hooked up several cameras at our home to provide various views, including the basement since I wanted to be able to see what's happening down there when I'm upstairs. The system has a hard drive that can support up to eight cameras. We can save photos, videos, and also play back to see what happened earlier in the recording on the various cameras. Although they could have provided a monitor, we don't really have a place for it so we simply have an app on our phone through which we can view the cameras. I'm not sure why, but I thought it would go much more quickly than it did. I have no frame of reference to know how long it should have taken so that's not a criticism. It took about six hours total but having it done well was the most important part. I would highly the crew at 606 installs for their professionalism, reasonable rate, and excellent work. read more

I requested an outside speaker replacement. I had purchased the speakers and didn't want to climb a ladder two stories to hang them. I requested a quote and was given a fair price. They sent out an awesome employee who removed the old speakers and replaced with my new ones in less than an hour. Everything worked and I couldn't be happier. I would definitely use them again. read more

I wished I could have had a better experience. I had an appointment between 9 - 9:30am with Mike. Did not show nor call. 11:30am he called, asking could he still come. The answer was no. He came the next day. Mike texted me a quote for 5 cameras for $1850. A doorbell camera for $199 plus $100 for installation. Then, He came to my home, sat at my table and drew an illustration of placement for each camera. 5 paid cameras - one doorbell camera and 2 free cameras for the garage. That price was $1900. I requested a contract for the $1900. Well, he texted me a different doorbell camera with a cost of $1,000. I told him I could not do it. He emailed a contract for $1900 without a doorbell camera that was included in the quote. Told me he could not take it off unless I pay $1900 cash. WHAT!!!! Of course I did not accept the offer. Fast and reliable. Called them the day before for a TV wall mounting. They came the next morning and put a new 75" on the bracket. Took the time to measure, and had to move the mount higher so wouldn't interfere with my soundbar (old TV was 65"). Highly recommend. read more

Mike and his team were brilliant from the start- provided detailed consultatation on the camera features/specs, NVR vs DVR models, and helped us narrow down the best options for our needs. They were thorough and professional with the installation. It was a relatively complex job, becasue we had to install cameras in a couple of new , somewhat hard to reach areas, and extend power supply etc. but they got it done in great time. Found the team to be trustrowthy with their estimates, effort, materials, communication frequency and transparency - highly recommend them and they will be my go-to team for any other similar job going ahead. read more

Where to even begin? 606 Installs/Michael's work, professionalism, and expertise are truly out of this world! After lots of word of mouth referrals, I hired Michael to do a tv install for me in my new home. He responded quickly and provided a competitive quote. He was out a few days later, and not only did he install my tv, but he also installed/assisted me with other electronic devices. Left my tv Mounted beautifully, and the work area clean. He truly went above and beyond. I later hired him to install security cameras when we had an increase in burglaries in our area. Once again his professionalism and expertise left me speechless. He was so knowledgeable and patient with all my questions and concerns. He was out in a few days and installed my security system. I continued to have questions and concerns, but he made me feel comfortable and confident in my decision and his work. He's since installed several of my friends/neighbors security systems. I had a break in , called a couple of places to get estimates, one of them was 606. Mike showed up, gave me estimate I liked it and went with him And I am so glad I did Mike is such a positive person, great workmanship attention to detail and I absolutely love my system. Main reason I went with Mike was the ease of use of the set up, the app he showed me versus others is 90% easier to use and for me that was the biggest selling point ... I don't want to have to take a class to be able to use my cameras Easy to use system, Mike is a craftsman, great price ... over all couldn't be happier ... will be recommending Mike to all my friends and family Thank you Michael read more

Recently I moved to Chicago from out of state. A well-meaning suburbanite relative who watches too much TV news is convinced my house will be burglarized three times a week (because Chicago), which is how I ended up with an CCTV surveillance system from a big box store as a house warming gift. Mildly creepy, but it can't hurt, right? The only problem is, it has to be installed. Installation involves running wires and cables behind walls and mounting cameras many feet off the ground. I can barely slap together a bookshelf from Ikea, so running cables is way, way, way, way beyond my capabilities. Enter 606 Installs. I originally called HD Installs based on their yelp reviews and they told me they wouldn't be able to install this particular system. They gave me Michael's name and number and said he'd take care of me. And he totally did. Michael immediately responded to my phone call and was at my house that evening to check out the property and the cameras. He was back two days later and by the end of the day, everything was installed perfectly. He is a very fastidious worker and stayed well after dark to make sure the cameras were each placed correctly and to clean up any dust or debris created from drilling, etc. And the price was very fair. After seeing the amount of work he did, and the skills and equipment it takes to install a system like that, I was more than happy to pay what he charged. If I ever decide to join the 21st century and mount a flat screen TV on a wall, Michael will be the first person I call. Highly recommend! read more

This was my first security system I was inquiring about for my ranch style home on the northwest side. Mike is a great guy came in and designed a system for me with a quote. His team came in and installed the security system even piping in the wiring down the side of my house so nobody can cut it. Now I can monitor my cameras from my phone and a dvr setup in my house. Five months later I had a question about the cameras and he was on the phone with me for 40 minutes explaining how it works! Since I am not that good with technology. This man runs a great business and great customer service. Go with Mike's company 606 installs if you need cameras. read more

Undoubtedly the best service in a very long time from start to finish. Mike answered my call on a Sunday at 10:47pm and told me exactly what he was capable of doing. The next morning he came out and did a survey of my property and his price was 20% cheaper than the other four estimates I received. In addition, the equipment that he offered me was far more better than what the others offered. He was courteous and punctual. He had another survey to do that evening of which he informed me off. He left and he came back that same night at 9:27 and finished the job. I will definitely recommend him and use him again. Oh yeah in addition, I had a motion light out that he also tested and fixed for me free of charge, and it was not the light bulb. I read more
