We stumbled upon Poverty Knob Farm Brewery between softball games while looking for a clean…read morerestroom on the drive between Waterford and Union City, and we're so glad we did. I found it amusing that all signs posted to get there were at or after the turn. If you're not using GPS - watch out for that. Although they were hosting a private graduation party, the brewery itself was still open. It was surprisingly quiet around 1 p.m. on a Saturday, with just one other patron, which made for a peaceful and relaxing stop. The restrooms were spotless, and both the indoor and outdoor seating areas were beautiful and inviting. The bartender was incredibly attentive and took the time to ask what styles of beer I usually enjoy before recommending a few options. Every recommendation was spot on! We ended up sitting back, enjoying our drinks, and taking in the peaceful atmosphere, it was exactly the recharge we needed between games. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to explore the grounds, but from what we saw, the property looked gorgeous. We'll definitely make a point to return when we can spend more time there.

I've always wanted to visit, but while close enough we don't usually go out that way much. Being a…read morehuge Christmas and holiday fan seeing that they made a Christmas pop up was the extra motivation I needed. My friend and I had an amazing time. The whole building was super festive and fun. While busy, right before Christmas, everyone was very nice and helpful. There was barely a wait for anything, other than seating, but like I said it was so busy. The food we ordered was hot, fresh, and quick. I was really surprised by how good it was. I got a bowl potato soup and it looked small. That soup was so loaded and cheesy, I wasn't even able to finish it! Delicious! We shared a Bavarian pretzel. That was also huge, very well made. The dips for it I think are house made? They were amazing. We couldn't decide our favorite, but I think the mustard was mine. We each got a festive drink, I'm not big on drinks, but my Cosmic cosmo was fantastic and pretty! While the decor is what finally got me to visit I'm definitely planning on going back. It's very spacious, great seating. The food was impressive, service was fast and surprisingly friendly with how packed and busy they were.

An annual visit for our family that never disappoints! In addition to their very large breakfast…read moremenu, we sampled daily specials. We were seated in the back room at 2 separate tables, which was fine with us. We waited about 15 minutes each time to be seated. With impatient hangry children, food was delivered in about another 15 minutes. Some establishments make up for quality by giving you quantity. Not so at Flips! Innovation and quality were always there! Combinations were amazing, even reheated! They offer these freshly-made pillow doughnuts called, appropriately, Flips! Only breakfast and lunch hours offered. I have chosen lunch for breakfast sometimes because lunch combos are so enticing. It is diner style, noisy, bustling, with mismatched service plates and flatware. Fun place to be with great food!

The Flip potatoes were seasoned with heaven and tasted like it. Simply delicious. The bacon was thick but not too thick. I had the weekday special and added the spicy sausage crumbles. Spectacular. The white toast was thick and buttery and just the right amount of crunch. My son had a 3 choice omelette with cheese bacon and spicy sausage and loved it. And the price was unreal. Definitely worth the stop if you're passing through. Glad it was recommended by the folks at Blaneyvision in Edinboro right up the street.

We liked the first night that we came here so much that we came the following night also. The menu has some very unique interpretations of high end cuisine. The restaurant itself is a shot gun space designed with booths in the center rather than the sides, creating a better overall balanced space while also creating very cozy and romantic booths down the center of the room. A strategically placed bar with a large mirror at the far end of the dining area brightens the entire room and invites diners into the restaurant. The menu is fairly sophisticated, and offers something for almost everyone. I had the Pecan Crusted Chicken, sauteed and drizzled with a savory brie beschamal and striped with raspberry coulis and served on top of a bed of basmati rice pilaf. The presentation was beautiful and the food was excellent. The wife had the Wild Mushroom Risotto and said it was delicious. We shared a Pecan Upside Down Cake a la mode for dessert that was fantastic. Our server Tim was efficient, attentive, and personable. We went back the very next night (because it was apparent that Bella Cucina is the area's premium restaurant) and sat at the bar where we had a great time interacting with local patrons. We split their Chicken Chili Soup with cornbread and a Margherita Pizza and had a few glasses of wine and beer. Our server Alex was juggling many customers and servers while assuring our experience was enjoyable. The prices were very reasonable and the overall experience was top quality. They also have a large very nicely appointed outdoor seating area with space heaters. If we were staying in town another night we'd definitely be going here again!
