Very cute dinor, decor was done well. In a nice area. First time to this location. I went on a Tuesday for a late breakfast. I was greeted by very friendly and attentive staff. I ordered the basic "The Double" for breakfast, which included 2 eggs, choice of bacon or sausage link's , choice of home fries or hash brown's, along with various toast choices. I figured this would be a good gauge of the restaurant. I ordered eggs over medium, sausage links, hash browns with sourdough toast. I received my meal fairly promptly. I must say, with all the hype over this new dinor, I was not impressed with the food. Portion size was small. Eggs were done well, however they must use small size eggs. I ordered sausage links, only to receive 1 small part of a piece of sausage. I questioned the waitress as to why I only had 1 piece of a small sausage link. She explained that they used to serve two, but then changed to a larger sausage. Therefore, they cut it in half since it was "bigger". It was still smaller than any sausage I've had at any dinor, and I ate it in three bites. I have to say it was good tasting sausage, just the portion was way too small. The hash browns I received were flattened thinner than a pancake and rather skimpy. Usually a breakfast like this is plentiful on the hash browns, but not here. The sourdough toast was toasted well, buttered and tasty. The coffee was good and served hot. I really wanted to like my first experience, but was disappointed in the food. I am still willing to give it one more try, maybe next time I'll order lunch instead. My total bill came to $15 and some change, which I would have been ok with, had it had been a filling breakfast, which it definitely was not.

Great food and GREAT service (even though it was swamped on a Wednesday lunch rush). Everything was delicious delicious. Highly recommend.

After an early morning appointment in Erie, I was hungry and decided to grab some breakfast before making the 1.5 hour return trip to Cleveland. Much to my surprise was this vintage 50s diner, complete with with white checkered tiles and hanging lights! I was seated immediately and after glancing over the menu, decided on the veggie omelet. The omelet was a fine mix of peppers, mushrooms, cheese, and came with home fries and warm sourdough bread. What a delightful take on a traditional American favorite! If I am ever out in Erie again, I'll definitely make a point of stopping at Dave's!

Old school perfection in a fun atmosphere. A walk back in time with fresh classic American food. Onion rings are crispy and perfect. Burgers were cooked perfectly juicy and service was quick and friendly. Great lunch!

Don't typically give five star ratings. However, we found this little gem on Yelp and couldn't be happier that we stopped by. It's clean, family friendly, and the service was great. The only suggestion I have is that you go hungry, as the portions are HUGE. The other nice thing is it's all priced great - way below what you would pay elsewhere. If your looking for a great breakfast spot, this is it!

We stumbled across this place and were impressed. I had a hamburger melt. Burger was a little small but it was tasty and the portions were awesome. My son had the big breakfast and was very pleased. Definitely a great little find!

I'm currently in the process of moving to the Erie area. I was craving breakfast my first full day here and was hoping to find something good. Dave's is more than good, I honestly didn't deserve breakfast this amazing! The restaurant is dine in during covid and respectively spaced, you can also take out. The restaurant is pristine, wonderfully cared for. It is a great breakfast or lunch stop on your way to the lake or any time!

Only about a five minute drive from the Marriott and since the hotel got poor reviews for breakfast decided to check this place out. Very busy but a short wait and food was delicious! I personally didn't care for the sausage but eggs toast bacon potatoes and service were all great I would go back for sure!

In response to Milen D's recent review of Firestones(which I witnessed)…read more I honestly can't decide what's more embarrassing: your experience at the restaurant or the fact that you thought this review was worth posting. You apparently walked in expecting the entire establishment to revolve around your very specific demands, got disappointed, called someone a "clown," accused them of lying, and then produced this barely decipherable masterpiece of nonsense. The staff didn't fail you--you failed to understand where you were, what they offered, and apparently how restaurants work. And judging by the grammar and coherence of this review, I'm not sure you were in any condition to be evaluating anyone else's performance. Being unhappy with a meal is one thing. Throwing a tantrum because a restaurant didn't conform to whatever bizarre expectations you had in your head is another. Do everyone a favor next time: stay home, lower your expectations, and let the adults enjoy their dinner without having to witness another episode of The World's Most Confused Customer. The restaurant got one bad review. You got permanently immortalized as the person who wrote it. I'd say one of those is considerably harder to recover from.

Firestone's Kitchen…read more This was the BEST pizza I've had in Erie as a traveller looking to settle here. I've tried 3 others, mostly very flat on crust or flavor (all independent places). Firestone's pizza has an excellent char, solid sauce and flavorful toppings. The restaurant also has a beer/wine store, and a eye pleasing meat counter/butcher. I have no complaints - friendly service, fair priced pizza for excellent quality, and the liquor section has some charm to the decor. ***From the road, look for Gordon's (even though Firestone Kitchen is the eatery). Gordon's is more prominent from the road.

A nice char and flavorful. I almost always order the NY Strip as it's my favorite cut. Tonight when my steak came out if was flat as a pancake and looked more like a thinner version of a ribeye but way larger and wider. Definitley not think and certainly not a 'strip.' Waitress and host checked and came back and said....."Yes it's a NY Strip....it must just have been the way our butcher cut it." Well, if that's the way he cuts a NY Strip you need a new butcher. The fact it says "strip" in the name is a clue. I asked for it medium rare and it was cooked as ordered. But it was so thin a cut.....it didn't have time to develp a good char or sear and the result was the steak cooled quickly, was not as flavorful and in fact tasted a bit mushy. Ate about half of it. Manager was nice enough to give a break on the bill (although I did not ask for it.) I have dined here I think 4 different times and this was my first mediocre or bad meal. Hope they get back to serving a properly cut and thick NY Strip.....if not.....I won't return as what I was served tonight was not up to their standards or mine.
