    Sandy's Scramble

What a great find!! Cozy and charming breakfast and lunch cafe. Tried Sandy's scramble and it was delish!! Portion was huge. Perfectly cooked potatoes with sausage gravy, bacon, cheese topped with scrambled eggs. Must have if you have a big appetite. Also, pancakes were light and fluffy!

Good place. Good staff. My compatriots meet there for lunch repeatedly. They put several tables together to accommodate us.

As a California gal in Conneaut visiting family, I was in serious espresso withdrawal. Sadly (or…read moreso I thought at the time) the closest Starbucks was in Erie. My cousin told me about All Things Coffee House so I thought I'd give it a shot. This unique, niche coffee house is located in a non descript area and if you don't know what you are looking for you might miss it. A historic home turned into a coffee shop - What a great idea! The atmosphere is cozy, welcoming, and relaxing. There are several rooms and small parlors for reading, playing checkers, gathering with friends and/or a spot to just have some personal quiet time. The owner, Christina, is one amazing human being. I explained to her my "story" and she told me the history of the coffee house and welcomed me right in. Kind, funny, and such a joy to see every morning. We discussed what I would typically drink and she whipped up THE MOST AMAZING espresso beverage I have ever had. The espresso was rich and mild and not acidic. Come to find out she roasts all of her own beans! I truly believe that is what makes the difference in the quality of what she serves. Love and compassion are poured into each cup of everything prepared there and you can feel it in the atmosphere and taste it in the product. After my first visit there I returned daily. Not just for the bomb beverages, but for the conversation as well. I feel like I can say I officially have a friend in North Kingsville. If espresso is your thing, she has many options of different drink offerings and will also help you customize your own. If you are more of a regular cup 'o joe type person she has a Buckeye blend that is fantastic. She also offers teas, and other cold drink items, sandwiches, muffins, bagels. I am ordering from her and having my coffee shipped to Cali. Starbucks has NOTHING on All Things Coffee House. If you have not tried this coffee house you are most certainly missing out and I would implore you to get there sooner rather than later. Thank you Christina for being so kind, caring, compassionate, and helpful. Thank you for the week of fellowship, recommendations and helping a gal from Cali feel like she was welcomed home.

So when I drove up from SC to visit I had to see what all the fuss was about. Sadly, I took more videos than photos as umm be posting them to my author and book pages (@shewriteswithknives). So if you're wanting an interior look by me you'll have to check there at a later date. Now let's get into it. Pressed is cute. Very cute! This bookstore had a particular charm that made me want to look everywhere at once without being overloaded. I was excited to see they had less mainstream books, thus making their selection a bit wider. I somehow managed to only buy one book and paired it with a lavender matcha iced latte. On top of their book selection they have several cute stickers, hats, candles and assorted bookish knickknacks to enhance your reading experience. I'm very glad I was able to drop by.

We walked into the bright and welcoming bookstore before heading over to the coffee shop and I instantly felt a tinge of happiness! The coffee shop is very bright with floor to ceiling windows, several seating arrangement and a creative menu that had monthly specials that are boom themed. I opted for an iced lavender latte with oat milk 1/2 sweet. The baristas were really friendly and even offered me a punch card for my next visits. My coffee was great, the flavor was perfect . I hope to visit again during my next trip to Erie (unfortunately they don't open until 8am). If you're ever in the area grab yourself a cup of coffee and cozy up with a good book!

It can be difficult to tell if the storefront is open by the outside but both the signage and website can help inform you. Inside, the cafe is spacious yet cozy, with beautiful tables and chairs (although I did notice an absence of any type of decor or wall art; perhaps that will come in time). The menu has all of the standards. I tried a custom vanilla bean cold brew and it was the best I've ever tried anywhere! Perfectly crafted, excellent (locally roasted) beans, and friendly service on top of it all. I appreciated that my drink was even delivered to my table - you don't get that any coffeeshop, and certainly not a big chain. At the time of this review, the kitchen, which offers a few simple breakfast items, closes at 2pm, although the shop is open into the early evening hours most days. Plan ahead if you are in need of an afternoon snack, although a few baked good are available at the counter. The space offers lovely music in the background and free WiFi. I found it a very comfortable space to work for a spell and while I did I noticed the constant flow of customers, which was delightful to see, especially in a new business. It's great to have these type of locally owned and operated one-of-a-kind places in the region. I'll certainly make the drive to visit again just for the coffee and neighborhood feel. I look forward to seeing how this cafe grows. Recommended!!
