Wonderful new coffee and tea shop in the heart of Edinboro is a welcomed addition to both a rural…read morearea and a college town! It can be difficult to tell if the storefront is open by the outside but both the signage and website can help inform you. Inside, the cafe is spacious yet cozy, with beautiful tables and chairs (although I did notice an absence of any type of decor or wall art; perhaps that will come in time). The menu has all of the standards. I tried a custom vanilla bean cold brew and it was the best I've ever tried anywhere! Perfectly crafted, excellent (locally roasted) beans, and friendly service on top of it all. I appreciated that my drink was even delivered to my table - you don't get that any coffeeshop, and certainly not a big chain. At the time of this review, the kitchen, which offers a few simple breakfast items, closes at 2pm, although the shop is open into the early evening hours most days. Plan ahead if you are in need of an afternoon snack, although a few baked good are available at the counter. The space offers lovely music in the background and free WiFi. I found it a very comfortable space to work for a spell and while I did I noticed the constant flow of customers, which was delightful to see, especially in a new business. It's great to have these type of locally owned and operated one-of-a-kind places in the region. I'll certainly make the drive to visit again just for the coffee and neighborhood feel. I look forward to seeing how this cafe grows. Recommended!!

We had our dog with us so we only planted to get carry out, and then we discovered a shaded patio. We decided to stay and eat outside. I was standing at the host stand for quite a while because I hadn't noticed the seat yourself sign. I had also walked in the restaurant and was looking around for any employee - two servers at a table saw me standing there looking confused but then just went right back into the kitchen. When another guest pointed out the sign, I thought well that's great but if we want to sit outside will they ever know we are there. Someone finally returned to the bar and we were able to get a server. We ended up ordering three appetizers - skoat balls, cheese sticks, peach Burrata. All three good. I also ordered a blueberry mint mocktail beer that was actually quite disappointing. It was also quite a charming little town! Would like to go back again sometime, sadly that is unlikely to ever happen.

We were seated in the back room at 2 separate tables, which was fine with us. We waited about 15 minutes each time to be seated. With impatient hangry children, food was delivered in about another 15 minutes. Some establishments make up for quality by giving you quantity. Not so at Flips! Innovation and quality were always there! Combinations were amazing, even reheated! They offer these freshly-made pillow doughnuts called, appropriately, Flips! Only breakfast and lunch hours offered. I have chosen lunch for breakfast sometimes because lunch combos are so enticing. It is diner style, noisy, bustling, with mismatched service plates and flatware. Fun place to be with great food!

The Flip potatoes were seasoned with heaven and tasted like it. Simply delicious. The bacon was thick but not too thick. I had the weekday special and added the spicy sausage crumbles. Spectacular. The white toast was thick and buttery and just the right amount of crunch. My son had a 3 choice omelette with cheese bacon and spicy sausage and loved it. And the price was unreal. Definitely worth the stop if you're passing through. Glad it was recommended by the folks at Blaneyvision in Edinboro right up the street.
