Small hometown place. Good food, good portions, and good prices. Lots of locals here. I normally get the small steak salad. Its plenty of food for me. Lots of homemade dressings. French is excellent!

The whole thing was 1/4 the size of the takeout container.

Impeccable serving, food was spectacular and savory. The inside is MUCH better than how it looks from the outside. 100% would recommend.

Our meal was just as good as we remembered. Luckily we had made a reservation the restaurant was quite busy. We were a little early so we started with a glass of wine at the bar. Once we were seated we were quick to order dinner. We started with Philly cheesesteak egg rolls which were delicious. I chose the roasted garlic sirloin with parmesan mashed potatoes. My husband went with parmesan crusted chicken which came with broccoli and choice of another side. He also chose the mashed potatoes. Our server Nathan was very attentive. He checked on us regularly. Food was great. I like the ambiance at Firebird's. Kind of dimly lit. Decor is in earthy tones. Clean.

A nice char and flavorful. I almost always order the NY Strip as it's my favorite cut. Tonight when my steak came out if was flat as a pancake and looked more like a thinner version of a ribeye but way larger and wider. Definitley not think and certainly not a 'strip.' Waitress and host checked and came back and said....."Yes it's a NY Strip....it must just have been the way our butcher cut it." Well, if that's the way he cuts a NY Strip you need a new butcher. The fact it says "strip" in the name is a clue. I asked for it medium rare and it was cooked as ordered. But it was so thin a cut.....it didn't have time to develp a good char or sear and the result was the steak cooled quickly, was not as flavorful and in fact tasted a bit mushy. Ate about half of it. Manager was nice enough to give a break on the bill (although I did not ask for it.) I have dined here I think 4 different times and this was my first mediocre or bad meal. Hope they get back to serving a properly cut and thick NY Strip.....if not.....I won't return as what I was served tonight was not up to their standards or mine.

I found a table near a tv where my game was showing and asked if I could sit there. The server offered any table in that area, then offered to change any of the tvs in that area to my game. (This doesn't happen at BWWs.or Primantis.) My server, Wes I think, was friendly and attentive. He kept my drink full, but didn't hover or interrupt me watching my game. I ordered the candied bacon BLT with the fresh cut fries. The sandwich was delicious, a perfect BLT. (Although I got it with regular mayo, and the spicy mayo on the side.) The fries were hot and crispy, but a tiny bit too salty. However, they were perfect with ketchup. I also ordered a piece of pumpkin pie with whipped cream. It was pretty good, but I'm pretty sure it was from Sam's Club. This was my first visit, but I will definitely back again during the football season to try their Mac and cheese and burgers.

Arriving around 7:00…read morep.m., we had to wait to be seated for a few minutes but not for an unreasonable amount of time given the day & time. Once seated, we were served by Yvette who did an outstanding job! She was cheerful, made great suggestions, timely in all aspects of service, & was a great representative of the business by always speaking well of how things were prepared & handled by the staff. The food was excellent. My sampler included meatloaf, ham, & a boneless pork chop. All portions were extremely generous & I feel one would be hard pressed to find a better value for the price of our meals. I was disappointed that the dinner rolls were not homemade but they were still good. While Sugar 'n Spice IS located in a historic building, it's my opinion the decor is far from adequate in conveying without necessarily having to imitate an early 1800s atmosphere. Early 20th century 'grandma' is not the look I would choose & a deep cleaning would bring about substantial improvement. Such changes would easily bump my rating to 5-stars. A hour of travel for a solid dining experience is something my wife & I are willing to do. I will now add Sugar 'n Spice to our list of worthwhile options. May your experience be every bit as pleasant as ours! ------------ Hey, fellow Yelpers! If you've read to this point, please take a moment to rate my review as it helps keep me motivated. Thank you!

This little shop offers a decent amount of options for a quick lunch while also giving you a place to pickup full desserts and even some big honey baked hams (but like, yum). I ordered a standard honey baked ham sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and some wonderful sauce that made me like the sandwich even more (seriously, it was delicious). The sandwich itself didn't come with anything else so I picked up a can of sprite ($1.99) and a bag of BBQ chips (I think $1.50) and it made for a pretty filling meal. Overall, if you want a ham sandwich this is probably where you want to go. The place was clean, the food was good, and the prices weren't bad either. Most important, honey baked ham is deciduous and I'm definitely going to be ordering one for thanksgiving.

This was inedible and on Tuesday after Thanksgiving I brought all untouched meat. Only three slices had been eaten. It was tasteless, overly salted, and dry. Never had I had such a horrible meal in my home! It was embrassing that family was commenting negatively on the meat. At that point I had no choice but to carry on. FYI for the small half ham and small turkey breast, about 5-6lbs total cost was $85+. Maybe my expectations were unrealisctic? Store owner negatated my comments, stating that no one has ever complained. Really?!?! Dealing with food and retail store no complaints - I find that unbelieveable!!!!! No apogoly was offered , that's is all I expected. NEVER TO ENTER THROUGH THEIR DOORS AGAIN. BEWARE!
