Not easy to find in todays world. Thank you!

A Disappointing Experience…read more We have always enjoyed Madeline's, which is what makes this visit so disheartening to write about. My daughter and I both ordered the cod, and from the first bite something was clearly wrong. The fish had a strong, off-putting taste -- reminiscent of bleach or ammonia -- and neither of us could eat it. We told the assistant manager, who was apologetic and told us she would remove both meals from our bill. We trusted that and didn't push further, assuming it would be handled. The bill arrived with only $5 taken off. When I brought this back to the same assistant manager, we were told the most they could do was 10%. No explanation, no escalation, no offer of a replacement meal or even a gesture of goodwill while we sat there having eaten virtually nothing. We paid nearly $90 where one person in our family ate. The fish was inedible, a manager's word was not honored, and we left hungry. To be fair, our waitress was attentive and kind. The rest of our table enjoyed their meals without any complaints. I understand that kitchen mistakes happen -- that's not the issue. The issue is how it was handled. A simple follow-through on what was promised would have gone a long way. Instead, we left with a bad experience and, quite literally, a bad taste in our mouths. We definitely won't be making the 40 min drive again.

Pizza is solid. Have had the Italian Wedding and the Eric B. Italian Wedding truly tastes like…read morewedding soup- meatballs are great, and the sauce has a garlic butter broth-like flavor. The Eric B. had a good mixture of toppings- I particularly enjoy the cup and char pep. They also have a nice shaker full of garlic and oregano for their pies. Antipasto salad is solid as well. The only complaint would be that the center of the crust does have a lot of flop. Not quite as much structural integrity as I'd enjoy throughout the full crust, but nonetheless, the outside edge has a nice crisp chew. Overall - very solid, will continue to order when the craving is there.
