Stopped here a couple of times while on a ski trip at the Peak. Staff were friendly, food was very good, prices very reasonable. The liquor store is in the back.

Great food, really cool tavern, excellent service! I'm so happy that my friends and I stopped here for dinner while staying at the local Peak N Peak Resort. This tavern has a very "local" feel but we did not feel Unwelcome as tourists. The food was super good, we all left so full and it was very inexpensive!

Passing thru from Cincy and stopped for lunch. Wanted good wings and Beef on Weck but wanted to avoid going into Buffalo. And boy, I'm so glad we did! Classic dive bar with great service and super yummy food. Best wings I've had, ever! I ordered the "Jambo" wings, the bartender said it was the most popular. She did not steer me wrong. I will be thinking about these until next time! Hubs got the med buffalo wings and they were outstanding. The blue cheese is drinkable. Great stop! Worth a repeat next time we pass by!

I have been coming to the FCT since 1980. The place hasn't really changed and that's what I love about it. The staff/service is great! Lots of choices at the bar and the food is awesome. I recommend the wings (hot) blue cheese and a side of fries. The Pub Burger or Fish Fry won't disappoint. You really can't go wrong with any choice. Stop by, grab a beer at the bar and a snack or sit at a table with friends and/or family and make some memories.

First off, this is a REAL tavern! The only thing missing is the silver bands of cigarette smoke hanging over the bar. I LOVED IT! I LOVE a real tavern! We started with Findlay's Fireballs - these are deep fried jalapeño cheese bites that you dip in honey mustard. Perfect bar food and SO good! After a few beers, I got the Tavernburger with a side of sweet potato fries. Again...PERFECT BAR FOOD! It's a ground sirloin burger on a hoagie roll... SO good! It was a great lunch with beers...I miss the days of the corner bar for lunch, but this place brings it back around!

Wings and cold beers at the bar. Does it get much better?

A true gem in the Southern Tier. Staff is super friendly and courteous. Even if it's your first time, they make you feel right at home. Food is absolutely delicious and some of the best wings I've ever had, and I've had a lot!!! Lol. It's not too far off I-86 and very close to Peak & Peak resort in the middle of Amish Country. We have made this a regular stop on our way home from Chautauqua Lake area and look forward to eating here. It's a little pricey, but I feel it's well worth it.

Wings / Steak Sandwich

I'm originally from Erie (Corry), and so our staples for wings are always French creek and Columbus inn. French creek had indoor and outdoor seating; our waitress was friendly and prompt. All of the food was phenomenal, seriously these are some of the best wings on earth! My partner got the steak sandwich, and "Mmmmm'd" out loud, so if you're a sandwich human I recommend that!

Bar shuffle board

Definitely worth a special trip for the wings, cold beer, and throwback vibe. Get the wings, seriously, ask for crispy wings with medium sauce, just the right amount of heat. Our service has always been good. The only bummer is the sauce rule. On a 32 price bucket customers would appreciate the option to get two flavors.

Nice bar and restaurant. Definitely don't judge a book by its cover. Relaxed atmosphere near peek and peak. I loved their beef on weck and my wife got the tavern burger. If you're near by stop for some food and drink.

The service is great and the servers go above and beyond to make sure you are doing well. For food, we got the bison burger special and chicken bacon ranch flatbread. Each were expertly prepared (and plated) and tasted divine. Not only is this the best option in a small town, this restaurant can compete with many in the larger surrounding area. Do yourself a favor and check them out!

My daughter got married here a couple weeks ago. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous and we…read moreliked that we didn't have to spend time setting things up and taking it down. They set everything up and took it down and boxed it so when we came back the following morning all we had to do was load it up. The event coordinator, Michelle, is absolutely amazing to work with. She was also our day of coordinator and really knows what she's doing. My only complaint was that we ran out of food. Guests at the end didn't get any rolls, salad, or macaroni and cheese. All they got was the meat and potatoes portion of the meal. I believe this happened because guests had their meat plated for them and then went through the line for the other items and those were self-serve. Unfortunately, some guests took large portions so we ran out before everyone went through the line. Talk about embarrassing! I could have crawled under a table when guests told me what had happened. Had we known food was getting low we would have gladly paid for extra so we didn't run out. The only other thing that happened was also not the fault of the venue itself. Immediately after the ceremony guests were in line to get a cocktail and the cupcakes were set up right where the line was and guests were taking cupcakes before dinner was served and the cake was cut. We had cheese, crackers, and pepperoni to snack on during cocktail hour and this was also gone within it seems like minutes. We paid $650 for those appetizers and were told by several guests that it sure didn't look like $650 worth. I'm not sure what could be done differently with the snacks during cocktail hour and the cupcake situation. But I would recommend having an employee or 2 to serve the main dishes so all guests get some. Michelle worked her butt off and she deserves a huge shout out.

My wife & I dined at Sugar 'n Spice for the first time on Sat., 09.10.2022. Arriving around 7:00…read morep.m., we had to wait to be seated for a few minutes but not for an unreasonable amount of time given the day & time. Once seated, we were served by Yvette who did an outstanding job! She was cheerful, made great suggestions, timely in all aspects of service, & was a great representative of the business by always speaking well of how things were prepared & handled by the staff. The food was excellent. My sampler included meatloaf, ham, & a boneless pork chop. All portions were extremely generous & I feel one would be hard pressed to find a better value for the price of our meals. I was disappointed that the dinner rolls were not homemade but they were still good. While Sugar 'n Spice IS located in a historic building, it's my opinion the decor is far from adequate in conveying without necessarily having to imitate an early 1800s atmosphere. Early 20th century 'grandma' is not the look I would choose & a deep cleaning would bring about substantial improvement. Such changes would easily bump my rating to 5-stars. A hour of travel for a solid dining experience is something my wife & I are willing to do. I will now add Sugar 'n Spice to our list of worthwhile options. May your experience be every bit as pleasant as ours! ------------ Hey, fellow Yelpers! If you've read to this point, please take a moment to rate my review as it helps keep me motivated. Thank you!
