That allows for the tiniest bit of chicken and gravy to be served over it. After the first couple bites, the rest of your meal is plain potato and dry biscuit. The only redeeming part of the meal was the small serving of coleslaw. I had asked if I could substitute my mash potato and told no ,this is the way it's served. Now I know why. This allows mainly dry starch to be served at a bigger margin. Some of the food there is great but this is the second special I have had that was sub par. The pie , French fries and breakfasts are good. I always feel like an outsider when we eat there. I think a lot of the clientele is local and it's just never a super friendly atmosphere. The prices here are not inexpensive. I don't mind paying more but I would expect the quality to be in line with the price. I think it's best left to the locals unfortunately.
