My sister ordered a special deep fried chicken sandwich, came with pickle, HUGE w/ special seasoned, breading. Also ordered sweet potato fries, size small, which was huge! Thick cut, w/ a side of special dipping sauce, a bit different from the usual honey & cinnamon! Staff was SUPER friendly and kind and helpful. I got a smoke pulled bbq pork sandwich that was to DIE for and my husband got a bacon cheeseburger and their chicken sandwich. We both also got their fresh cut fries and a bottled drink. Everything was great and the Owner/ cook even came out and asked us how everything was. He was so sweet and kind. A group of us ate here a few weeks ago and this is definitely one of those little hidden gems to check out. Somehow my sister found this place and quickly spread the word. We tried the smoked pork sandwich, the garlic parm fries, the BBQ Dog, and the Grilled Pork and Veggies wrap and shared bites. Everything was amazing. My favorite was the Grilled Pork and Veggies wrap which included grilled pork and veggies of course, but the wrap itself was also grilled so, double the grill action. There were also pickles inside. This was really unique and very enjoyable. The charred pork chunks on the hot dog were also excellent and would probably be a delicious topping to just about anything. A few things to note: the seating is all outdoors. There is a covered patio but it's all picnic tables. Definitely a spot for a nice day or an order to go. Second, the place is small and was out of a number of items. So it's probably best not to go with your heart set on something specific. We really wanted to try the brisket stroganoff fries but they were all out of brisket. And finally, ribs are not part of their regular menu which seemed strange for a BBQ joint. But plenty of other tasty options! If you are visiting Dunkirk/Fredonia or driving through the area, I recommend making a stop off exit 59 and checking this place out! read more

This place was awesome. Small little shack (literally). We ordered and sat in our car for food to be made. They do make per order, so it's not super quick, but definitely fair. They have outdoor tables, but we happened to be in town during an April snow, so obviously that wasn't an option. Service was quick, the girl working the counter was really nice and helpful. Portion are, in my opinion, HUGE. More than enough food. I got a chicken sandwich and it had really good flavor. The sweet potato fries were a little soggy once I got to them, but I imagine they're great when you eat them there. Prices were also extremely fair. What a gem! Super friendly staff and excellent food. We had a burger, bbq hot dog, chicken thighs and curly and straight fries. Everything was excellent! The burger tasted so fresh and like it just came off of the grill at a bbq. Hot dog had so much flavor and was cooked perfectly and the chicken was incredible. They also have an option to get your dog a plate which is really nice. They brought out a frisbee full of sliced chicken and milk bones. Really sweet idea and I'm pretty sure the pup would give it 5 stars. But the KIMCHI. I came here while driving through Dunkirk, I've been wanting to try their BBQ for a while. Usually a good test is a places brisket. I'm happy to report their brisket was tender and flavorful. The fat was rendered well and there was good ring marks . They have a horseradish mix on the sandwich that was tasty. The curly fries... I worked at a hot dog stand for too many years lol I'm going to admit I'm a bit picky. The fries were a touch overdone for my liking. I'm giving this place 4 stars because of the curly fries and when I received my takeout there was no napkins, forks or condiments in the bag. I seldom get takeout right now and sit by the lake to eat. I couldn't do that comfortably which was a little disappointing. Stopped in after the hotel recommended them. They had assortment of delicious burgers. We had a kimchee burger and a regular burger. It's a summertime place with outdoor seating. I liked the herbs and tomatoes grown in the front of the sitting area. It was close to closing and the chef came out and asked us how we like the food. The staff was friendly and service was prompt. Thanks, Tom D for your great review of this place, it encouraged us to give it a try! So we were at EBC West for a late lunch/early dinner, and we wanted some ice cream. I saw Tom's review of this place, and so we decided to come over to check it out. This is one of those classic roadside shack type places. They have everything from burgers to dogs to BBQ, and of course the ice cream. Lee decided to go for a Hawaiian sundae, and I went for the maple-bacon BBQ sundae. I was a little too chicken, and opted to not have the BBQ sauce on it, but had it on the side. Portions are generous for the price, and they are using standard Turkey Hill Ice Cream, but they have a creative mind for sundaes. Lee really enjoyed his, and I found that dipping the ice cream into the vinegar-based BBQ sauce actually worked. One of my favorite things about the decor of the place, which is pretty much outdoors only seating, was their planter boxes. They are filled with a beautiful assortment of flowers, but also, functional garden items. I saw tomatoes and basil growing in amongst the flowers. Very nice touch! We didnt' try the savory options, but if we were to be in the area again, I'd definitely give it a try. read more

For what this place is - I have to give it 5 stars because you can't go higher then that,but in my book it's a TEN! There are a few things that set this place apart from the rest. For starters - the staff are OFF THE CHART in friendliness - it doesn't get better then this! Even the owner/cook came out to talk to us! Another great feature is that they smoke everything on location in their own smoker with wood right from the apple tree out front! Pricing seemed in par with everyone else, but the flavor of our Bacon cheddar cheese burger was incredible. Followed up by what I assume are fresh cut sweet potato fries with a special BBQ smoked dipping sauce. Amazingly good! But, I can't just give the sweet fries a go without tasting some curl fries with malt vinegar - mmm mmm good! There is plenty of parking and seating - plenty of variety and in fact - this place is so good it is my goal to try everything on the menu before they close for the season, which I believe is around November - my birthday month! As an added surprise - the day we stopped was National Ice Cream day - so we also got a free small cone - we asked for extra small because we were already stuffed. We tried the chocolate peanut butter and the firecracker, both were superb, but that cinnamon was out of this world - from the first taste to the last and in a sugar cone besides! Look - if you have time - this place should go on your list for summer time stops. If you are in the area - this place should become a regular place -it's THAT good! All I'm going to say is GET THEIR BRISKET SANDWICH WITH KIMCHI! That's all you need. It's huge, completely filling, priced great and tastes amazing. Their prices are also very reasonable. Sometimes the wait is a little long to get the food so I would definitely call in 20 minutes prior to give them time to prep it. Manager and staff and very friendly and courteous. The smoked Chicken Parmesan, double bacon cheeseburger, smoked feta sandwiches and homemade curly fries were ordered by my associates that we decided to shared that resulted in agreement that each and every selection met or surpassed our expectations regarding hidden roadside restaurant finds. The "Dole" cream combinations were also tasty along with the ice cream selections. I also found it commendable that the owner personally addressed each one of us during our meal to introduce himself and inquire if we were satisfied with our selections. What a surprise. Looking for something a little different while in Dunkirk and this was it. Far enough away from the downtown and boardwalk area, but only a minute or two drive from the hotel. Unlikely to return. Although the food was OK, the service was lacking. One of my big disappointments with the beverage selection. They were out of multiple pops and when I finally decided I would just go with water, the only option was bottled water for $1.50. Really?! When I asked about tapwater I was told they only offered bottled water. The delivery of our food was not too professional. It was delivered in kind of a cavalier way.
