Five Stars Isn't Enough for Adam and the Team at West Rose!…read more From top to bottom, West Rose delivered an exceptional dining experience. The food was incredible, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere in Ellicottville was fantastic - not a single complaint across the board. But what made our visit unforgettable was the General Manager, Adam, who gave us a masterclass in world-class customer service. Full disclosure: I had two complete "rookie mistakes" during our meal that I've never done in my life. First, while reaching for a slice of pizza, I managed to send the entire rest of the pizza - pan, rack, and all - crashing onto the floor. Mortified is an understatement. Before I could even finish apologizing, Adam stepped in. He had a staff member clean it up in literally ten seconds, flashed a warm smile, and calmly said a new pizza would be right out. Zero frustration, zero annoyance--he handled it with complete grace and had a second, fresh pizza at our table in minutes. He made sure I didn't feel embarrassed for even a second. To make matters worse, five minutes after walking out the door, my phone rang. It was Adam, politely letting me know I'd left my credit card behind. When I walked back in feeling twice as foolish, he handed it over with a smile and a good laugh after I admitted it wasn't my banner day. Great food is easy to find, but genuine, gracious, above-and-beyond hospitality like Adam's is rare. I Left a well-deserved tip and promised him I'd leave a review - and he truly earned every bit of praise. Don't skip this place if you're in Ellicottville! I know we'll be returning.

I did love the hummus though. So I'm definitely open to coming back, but I will definitely not be getting that mushroom pizza. Or the ginger drink. But the ambience is great and the service was pretty good. Matt thought the burger was good. We both didn't really care for the cheesecake.

Tonight the service from Reagan was absolutely amazing. she was attentive, she checked in pretty regular and very personable. She knew her stuff and this honestly has been the best service I have ever received while dining here over the last two years. This type of service keeps me coming back. As long as regean continues to waitress here's I will keep returning. some of the other waitresses have very poor attitudes and rolls there eyes right in front of you.

I was a little taken back when on the board it stated they had a sloppy Joe and ff special for $17. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms which were enormous and very good. They were the size of a cue ball. Hubby ordered the steak salad special and loved it. Loaded with large pieces of tender steak and he really enjoyed it. He also had a pinia colada which seemed like it was from a pre-made gallon jug. I tasted it and neither of us enjoyed it. I had the stuffed halibut or haddock I forget which. It was on the dry side. I guess I should've went for the extra charge and got it in garlic butter. The stuffing in it had very thin long straps of imitation crab which was gross. Would have been better w/out it. MUCH better. Nice baked potato and mediocre bagged salad in my opinion. Server was nice and friendly and the portion sizes were large, but overpriced.

A bit of a drive from "mainland" Buffalo, but definitely worth it…read more We have a group of five guys (no relation to the burger joint) who like to try out a different restaurant once a month. Last Friday, we ended up at Josif's. After a short wait at the bar, we were seated and our server, Grace, quickly took our drink orders. The menus had a wide variety of appetizers and entrees. We started with the mussels, stuffed peppers, and Bang Bang shrimp. All were very good. I felt guilty because I lobbied hard for the mussels, only to find that the shrimp were amazing and scarfed down as many as I could without looking like a glutton. All of the apps disappeared quickly and we ordered our mains. I had the tomahawk pork chop, others ordered salmon, a fish fry, beef tips, etc. Everyone loved their meals and I was lucky enough to be full enough from the apps that I took some of the chop home. (It was not a pretty picture as Ifeeedily hunkered over the computer the next day gnawing on the chop bone.) The simplicity of the decor inside belies the quality of the food. The staff is friendly and professional. Definitely worth a ride down Route 62 to Collins.

The dining room is huge, with a couple of big screens and a fireplace. We ordered an app and entrees from the specials menu. The food was fantastic (especially the mashed potatoes!) There was enough for both of us to take to-go containers, so I'm looking forward to lunch tomorrow. We'll be back for sure.

I was confused as it's been a while and we haven't received our food. Like what do you mean how are we doing? She also didn't mention anything about our food coming. But I gave her the benefit of the doubt. 20 minutes after that and she asked us if we needed silverware. I was even more confused as we ordered 3 subs, 2 sets of wings, and a quesadilla. Only one thing on the menu required silverware and that was salads which none of us ordered. Our food took 53 minutes. The waitress never offered an explanation as to what happened. She said the kitchen was slammed but not once did I see anyone come in to pick up takeout. Two tables came in after us around 8pm and received their food before ours. Honesty is the best policy here. I've attached pictures of the time I took pictures of the menu (right before the waitress took the menu) and the time we got our food. Overall, just an odd experience.

Sure, it was a bit noisy due to their pool league being held Thursday nights, but it was still a pleasant and clean establishment. 'Wing night' was the theme, and it did not disappoint. My wife and I tried the Cajun and Garlic Parmesan wings. Both were cooked crisp and with the right amount of seasoning. Also had fried cheese curds and pretzel sticks for an appetizer which were both good. The service by our waitress was fantastic. A nice little stop, especially for lunch I'd say.
