All I can tell you that this is brand new and it seems be a popular spot now that it is here. I pulled in and had to pull into a spot to take an order to take home. Once I got that all in order I ended up pulling around to the drive thru. Placed my order and pulled around. I was able to catch a mistake before my order was complete. They had the drink order messed up and attempted to give me the drink order for the vehicle behind me. Plus it was kind of hard to drive with three drinks in a drink carrier. I couldn't even get the drinks out of the carrier because they were stuck into two carriers. I had to pull over once I got out of the drive thru so I could handle the drink situation. The food was pretty basic. At least everything I ordered was in the bag. Not necessarily put together with the greatest of care. But it was all there at least.

I primarily drink IPA's and barrel aged stouts. I've tried several of their IPA's in my two visits and at local places and found them to be okay. Not great but not bad.

With choices including chicken, fish, shrimp, pulled pork, beef, and short ribs, there really is something for everyone. The Willie Nelson is my favorite for good reason: tender short ribs topped with a vinegar slaw and their "Secret Weapon" sauce--a spicy, teriyaki-style sauce that brings everything together beautifully. It is an outstanding combination of sweet, tangy, spicy, and savory. We usually start with the chips and queso, and they certainly don't skimp on the portions. From there, it's on to the tacos--and we have never been disappointed. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and made sure our glasses never went empty. Great food is important, but good service makes the whole experience better, and Gato Taco delivers on both. The atmosphere deserves a mention too. The two salsas, verde and traditional red were not good at all. They were overly thick and strange tasting. We didn't even eat a quarter of it and the tortilla chips seemed cheap. The grilled shrimp tacos hardly had any shrimp (or any filling for that matter) in them and the shrimp were very tiny with an overly sweet and gooey chili sauce on them. I only ate one of the tacos because the taste didn't leave you wanting more. At least I saved calories, I guess. We went there because we were going to a concert across the street. This made the top of the burrito soggy, and I really did not care for the sauce. I started to eat the filling but woof, it was just not good. The chicken pieces were tiiiiiny and there were barely any fajita veggies. My boyfriend said his enchiladas were fine, and the rest of the table were pretty meh on their food. Note - My friend ordered the same thing as me, and said he got sick during the night (he suspects it's from the food). Service - Nice waitstaff that were attentive. No complaint here. I'd personally give the food a 1 star, but bc the service was solid and some folks at the table thought the food was (barely) passable I upped it to 2.
