While gathering stuff to bring home as my son's college year is coming to an end, we decided to stop here on our way home. It was only my second time here. I give it four stars mainly because the folks working there were so nice and accommodating. I've been told the food is pretty good, although I've never tried it. Table beside me had some tasty looking nachos. It's a clean but not overly decorated or impressive inside. As far as the beer goes, I can't say I was impressed. I primarily drink IPA's and barrel aged stouts. I've tried several of their IPA's in my two visits and at local places and found them to be okay. Not great but not bad. read more

The food was very good. The portions were very reasonable. The service wasn't bad. It wasn't the fastest but the place is pretty busy. And the ambience, well it's a brewery so you can't expect a lot, but it is pretty cool for a brewery. I am just traveling from West Virginia, but I would love to come back here many times if I ever come back to Indiana. What a gem of a brewery in Indiana. Several delicious unique beers on tap, and friendly & professional staff. Pretty large space but it also feels very cozy. We happened to be in town during homecoming weekend for another event, so the brewery was really lively, including live music by the amazingly talented Chris Stults. He seemed to know everyone in the room and the performance was a real treat. I'll definitely visit this brewery again when I'm near the area. read more

I was very impressed by this brewery. The brewery is right along the Hoodlebug trail, so we stopped in when we finished riding our bikes for some food and drinks. For drinks, I got a sampler of 4 5-oz pours. They have a nice variety of options, including IPAs, porters, stouts, sours, wheats, lagers, and even a few can options from other local places. Everything we all tried was great! I had a sour, a wheat, a porter and stout. The food was also great! We all got something different - I got the 1/2 and 1/2 combo and chose 1/2 of el Cubano sandwich and a half strawberry salad. So good! Everything was really fresh and put together so well. We planned to stop here when we were done, but it was a nice surprise as to how good everything was. They also had live music outside, which was another nice surprise. For a road trip brewery, Levity delivers. We first came here two summers ago. It's a hike so it's never going to be a regular stop, but we occasionally come to Indiana to kayak so it's nice to fit this in when in the area. They are located right off a fairly major highway, which is surprisingly not as loud as you would think. The parking lot is large and has lots of picnic tables and other seating available. Though the view is mainly the highway I feel they put some personal touches in their space that makes it look more like a beer garden than drinking beer in a parking lot. The inside is on the smaller side but still not terrible. They serve food and we have shared a large pretzel there which was standard large pretzel fare. Now to the heart of the matter, the beers are legit good. They have a chalkboard full of option. There is no bar seating which in a way is fine, as it keeps the beer line moving. Now we visited here just the other weekend after visiting a nearby state park. On their door they say Masks Required, but many patrons either already there or came in after we were seated, ignored the rule and walked freely without masks. The staff wore masks but at least one moment the one staff member simply had it dangling from his ear. Also not sure about the social distancing as it seems the tables were set up the same way as pre-pandemic. Nevertheless we stuck to ourselves and enjoyed a couple of good NE style IPA's. I look forward to another visit hopefully where we can be back outside. read more

Soooo disappointed. We have a family reunion in Indiana Pa every year and have been going to levity since they opened. This year we were disappointed, 2 people in our group order slices of pizza, they were black/burnt when delivered, we should've sent them back but didn't; but to be fair, they should have never been served to us. The beer is good and we would have loved to have use of the upstairs but apparently now you can only reserve it. Years ago we were able to enjoy use of it if it wasn't reserved. We will return next year but may not order food. Hope they get back to good food and good service, the service wasn't what it used to be but I'll leave it at that. read more

One of the best places in Indiana! We went to Levity both days of our trip to Indiana because we ended up loving it so much! Friday evening they had a band outside, so it was pretty busy. There was a line to get a beer throughout the night, but it went very quickly! We sat inside the restaurant because it was chilly, but we could still hear some of the music from outside. I don't drink beer, so I ordered Arsenal Cider. I truly appreciate their "non beer" options! My boyfriend ended up swooning over their coffee stout, so if you're into stouts and coffees, this seems like a winner. We had already eaten, but the food being served looked fabulous! They have paninis, salads, mac n cheese, hot dogs, etc. Of course I had to order food on our second visit. I went with the Paisano panini, and it did not disappoint! It was crispy, buttery, and stacked with pepperoni, spinach, provolone, Mozzarella, and more! It was served with a chunky marinara sauce for dipping and a side of plain potato chips. The panini was large! I could only finish half. After our lunch, we attended the car meet in the parking lot. I love all they events they have here! The beer selection is big with about 20 unique selections. I highly recommend their stout. I do t recall the name but it was one of the best I've ever tried. Had a late dinner here on 8/31 with my son. We both had the pork tacos and they were delicious. A big portion of pork, enough slaw to cut the meat and a drizzle of something that accompanied them perfectly. We each had a beer but I can't recall what they were. Wednesday was ukulele night! they had several ukulele's for customers to watch the music on a large projector screen and play along. The brewery is smaller in size offering a few rectangular tables and more round tables with stools. The customer walks up to the counter to order and pay and is then given a ticket with their name on it to place on the table for waitress/waiters to bring the food to the table. They give you free samples of the beers prior to purchasing. The beer/wine menu is written in chalk on a large chalk board on the wall. The beverage that you order is handed to the customer prior to leaving the counter. The food comes out hot and in a very timely manner. The pretzel is fluffy and large, enough for 2 people (or more) to share; it comes with 3 dipping sauces. The sandwich that I ordered was delicious (i can't remember the name) but it was served on toasted sourdough bread and had 2 types of cheeses and pepperoni and came with a spicy tomato based dipping sauce. My new favorite spot in Indiana! I really have to hand to the employees here! They are top notch! While there isn't "technically" table service here, they absolutely go out of their way to make sure you have the best service! By the end of my first visit, the staff was calling me by my name... a rarity nowadays! Let's chat about the food. Oh my goodness... the food! I swear literally everything on the menu is excellent. It is a bit of a limited menu, but everything pairs quite nicely with a cold cider or beer. I tried the nachos, meet and cheese tray, soft pretzel, and kettle chips. (No, I didn't eat all that food by myself!) Everything was absolutely delish! There is a BBQ like dipping sauce that comes with the soft pretzel and meat and cheese platter. For the life of me I can't pin point what the sauce is, but it's one of the BEST dipping sauces I've ever had. Seriously guys, bottle that and sell it! Now on to the best part! DRINKS! Admittedly, I'm not a huge beer drinker, but I enjoy tasting different beers. I love hard ciders though! When I was there, Levity had Archibald cider. It was one of the best ciders I've ever had. I was totally out of my element as I am not a craft beer drinker per say but the girl there was super kind and took the time to help my friend and I pick something for our palate. Very cool chill spot. It's got cute outdoor seating and lighting. Definitely a good place to get away from the average noise/hustle/bustle that is college bars or bars in general. Plus guests are more inclined to mingle and talk to each other. What a novel idea? My friends has said the food is also really good. My husband an I really do enjoy coming here. He has been obsessed with the Straight Red. I enjoy trying all the different varieties. If you love a good pretzel, we think theirs is by far the best in the area. The cheese sauce is nice and smooth with a great flavor. I like the stout sauce personally. Great horseradish flavor. My days of being at IUP are, without dating myself, Ill just say are way behind me. I was in the area visiting and decided to give this place a try. A friend and I shared the pretzel. It was really good! It comes with 3 dipping sauces (mustard, cheese, and a weird horseradish sauce). They had a ton of beers to choose from. There are also plenty of seats. And its not too loud. Me and gluten have been fighting lately...SO I had the cider. It was 8.6%. Which is the highest ABV cider Ive ever had. And the scariest part, it doesn't taste like its that high. It goes down like juice! I loved it. Im only in the area every few years. BUT definitely a great spot for locals and college kids. Not sure what happened, but how they are expecting people to pay 24$ for nachos is totally insane. A soft pretzel is $16. We live in Indiana PA.... Stumbled across this gem on my way to IUP vs UNH game. Great people. Friend staff and good live music. Standard bar food. With the exception it was really good!! But the best is the beer. Great selection of brews. Started with fresh ICFC Straight Red Amber - great flavor. Switched over to PA Autumn Pumpkin Ale - much darker them most ales...but did not disappoint. Can test the pumpkin and spices that make these autumn beers so popular. Ended with Korrie and Her Wheat Beer. Perfect ending...ok..I had a few of these. Great unfiltered beer. Only issue is I may never get back being 400 miles away!!! May be worth a return trip read more

We were passing through Indiana on a Sunday drive and decided on a whim to give Levity a go. Are we glad we did! My wife liked it so much she bought the shirt. ;) There is so much good going for this place: 1) Great craft brewing - My personal favorite was the High End Flannel, a complex and somewhat sour American Wild Ale aged in High West bourbon barrel casks. If you like big funk on the nose and soured cherry on the finish, give this one a try. My wife couldn't stop spewing superlatives for the Valencia Haze - "It tastes like Oranges! Not like Orange Juice, you know, not too sweet. Just LIKE an Orange! This would be great in the summer, I could drink it all day and sit in the sun." 2) Tasty food - The Pulled Pork Nachos were on point. Only recommendation is that they may want a slightly thicker chip, as ours kept breaking under the weight of pork and cheese. There were tacos that we also wanted to try, but we got too full. :( 3) Family/Everyone Friendly - I love a pub that the whole community can enjoy, and this was definitely just that. There was such a wonderful vibe of family and friendship in this place. Lots of hugs, smiles, and adorable kids being adorable. My fiancé and I absolutely loved our experience here! We snacked on a few appetizers and tried a handful of their beers...everything was amazing! We had the nacho and pretzel appetizers and the portions were both very large! We ordered the nachos for one and felt like together we didn't even make a dent. Although the nachos were great the pretzel was definitely my favorite and hit the spot with a cold beer! Been here twice recently. Really liked the place first trip started off with a flight of IPA's and liked Galaxy the best but we're very good. Got a pint of galaxy to follow the flight. Had a pint of hoodlebug brown as well. During the first trip we got the wrap and panini both were good. The menu is simple, snacks to munch on while enjoying a beer. Second trip was just a quick stop last Saturday with a group for one quick drink. I had a bicentennial and liked it better than Galaxy. The place is nice, the tasting room is comfortable, the people are friendly, the food was good, the beer is good. About the only improvement I could think of would be a golden retriever that walks around for you to pet and play with while having a beer. read more

I come back to Indiana a couple times a year and i had never stopped in to this local brewery. I have tried some of their beers at other bars around Western PA. However, I stopped in over the holidays and the place was packed! tons of patrons there for tasty brews and some live music. The owners have done a great job curating the space into a place you want to hang around all night. I was impressed by the long beer list, and really enjoyed their Belgyinz Tripel.
