We had a man's suit dry cleaned. It was done by the end of the day. They offered a discount for new customers. Very satisfied.

Country Squire is fine business that really came through for us on a Saturday morning with an urgent need to get a suit jacket cleaned. On wedding day, when other cleaners in town turned us away, they expertly removed a nasty stain and repressed the suit jacket within 90 minutes. Yep, that's right. Amazing. The service from Country Squire Cleaners is the worst I've ever recieved. I took a pair of skirts over to have the hems fixed on both of them (the originally shoddy blind seams had come apart in the wash). I let the girl at the cashier know that I wouldn't mind regular hems if it made the job easier. After waiting long two weeks I picked them up. The blind hems were still there aaaand... the hems ripped open again after one wash! I took another long bus ride over and asked them specifically to give the skirts regular hems this time. Well when I arrived the next week-- there were the blind hems, once again! I explained to them that they were trying to solve the wrong problem-- this time I asked for a different seamstress and explained quite clearly the service I wanted. I wasn't about to show up again to find unfinished skirts so today (pick-up day) I called to ask about the progress and the receptionist informed me that my BLIND HEMMING was complete but the skirts weren't steamed on time. Well, here I am, rescuing a pair of skirts that still aren't finished, after over a month of "service". Needless to say I did not pay. Save your money and time, skip this place. read more

The staff is friendly and always tries hard to do their best, which is all that anyone can ask. They are reliable, pricing is decent, and everything is ready as promised. If there is ever a problem - it's extremely rare, yet they always offer to fix it and go above and beyond to demonstrate customer appreciation. I've gone here a number of times. The customer service is pretty good, I haven't had any problems in that department. And the actual cleaning seems competent. They did a good job of trying to salvage my wool pants that a cat had urinated on. But the pressing/ironing is often sloppy. On multiple occasions I've had shirts and pants with wrinkles pressed in all over. read more

I recently had a house fire and the restoration company I used - uses Country Squire Cleaners for their laundry needs for their fire customers. WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!!! Kevin the owner had met we me personally after returning my clothing to me and having what he though a piece of black rubber imbedded into so much of my clothing from either something that was left on the clothing or a piece that came off his dryer he said (either way) he checked personally all the clothing before laundering them and he personally admitted to this HUGE MISTAKE. Not to mention admitting to heating my clothing on too high of a heat and damaging all the soft clothing. He took my clothing back almost 2 weeks ago told me he was 90% sure he could restore it back to its original state. After being very patient and not getting updates from him I finally called the restoration company and demanded answers. The restoration company brought my clothing back to me with still black rubber marks on the majority of the clothing and the soft clothing still felling horribly hard and brittle with Kevin claiming he checked my clothing 2 times himself and said it was ok. The restoration company took pics, I took pics of how the clothing was returned and demanded that Kevin write a check to me for my loss of my clothing due to the piece of rubber that came off that he fully took responsibility for from the beginning. I have spoke with the restoration company and fully hope they stop doing business with him because as a business man this is shady and a horrible way to do business. I would hope that Kevin will follow through and produce a check for the damages incurred on all of my clothing that were caused by his laundry facility. My advice to anyone reading this is take your business elsewhere!!!!!! read more

I was mislead (lied) on the cost of cleaning a light weight and not very soiled jacket; was told $16.75 when I dropped it off but when I picked it up the bill was $22.70; they did not tell me that they charged extra for the removable hood and jumped the original price up also. They pretty much said "too bad", will NEVER EVER go back there...will use the Star Cleaners on CountryFair Drive from now on... read more

Worst ever place to get your clothes laundered in the Champaign area, nothing is clear how much they charge. I cannot echo it was a nightmare when I saw the charge. Please do not use them. Not at all friendly at the counter or trying to explain you the charges. The receipt was not itemized. read more

It's a decent cleaning service. I've had articles a bit damaged from them (buttons, stained with starch, fraying). They're nice but not particularly friendly or inviting, frankly. Prices are OK; the coupons are helpful. Shop around and you'll pinpoint your favorite in town. read more

I see there are a few negative reviews here, but I am not sure why. I've had my clothes dry cleaned here a number of times and have always been satisfied. The first time I went I also had a pair of tuxedo pants hemmed and the lady who did the stitch work seemed to do a fine job. I really appreciate their hours and customer service. However, recently I took a few items in to be dry cleaned. Two of the items had stains when I brought them in and Country Squire had successfully removed them when I went to go pick them up. However, there were several NEW stains on a dress and a silk blouse that had not been there when I dropped them off. The stains looked like grease or soot stains. They agreed to do a "redo" for free, which I sincerely appreciated. When I went to pick the two items back up, they had successfully gotten out the new stains on the blouse but even newer stains had appeared on the dress (this dress was practically brand new). Again, they offered to do another "redo" for free. I went to pick up the dress 5 days later. The stains that i had pointed out to them were successfully removed but even NEWER stains were again added. I asked if something could be on the press that they're using that might be transferring onto the garment. They admitted that it was possible. For the FOURTH and final time, they attempted to remove the stains that they had put onto the garment. Same story when I went to pick it up a week later. At that point, I just gave up and am trying to either figure out how to get the stains that they put onto the dress myself or find another cleaner to remove them. I have worn the dress twice. It would be nice if I could wear it again without black stains on it. I will not be returning, which is unfortunate as I used to take all of my dry cleaning there up until this frustrating incident. read more

I have not had to many issues with the dry cleaning but with the alterations they have basically ruined a pair of my pants. I thought it would be simple as it was only a hem. When she pinned for the hem she stuck in a safety pin on both legs and I asked at the time if she was sure that she shouldn't hem them all the way around rather than just use a safety pin. well when I went to pick up the pants one leg was shorter than the other and the hem had been cut so I was concerned about the redo. They assured me no problem. Not the case it is still not right and I will not go back as I am afraid they will cut off the entire hem. I will look for someone else to redo their mistakes. Also, I took in a pair of jeans that needed a snap on the front. I asked if I could have before the alteration on the pants was done. It was a simple snap to put on. She said if I got them dry cleaned they would have done early. They did a very poor job with a simple snap and they dry cleaned which was around 6.50 and charged me another 1.50 for the snap. I don't usually dry clean my jeans. I will never go back as they don't seem very customer service oriented and don't seem to care if they do a good job. They have been in business 50 years at the rate they are going they won't be in business long as their are much better and cleaner facilities out there. read more

terrible service. dropped off an item July 19th. was told it would be done July 26th. went in that day to pick up, the 3 employees ignored me for a full minute and ate chips and salsa at the desk right in front of me and then they couldn't find my item. when they finally did they hadn't touched it. they attempted to call the owner and couldn't get ahold of him to ask about it. I left and they called back saying it wouldnt be done until August 16th. they promised to call me and tell men it was done. August 21st still no call so I called them. the woman on the phone was so rude and interrupted everything I said. then she attempted to patronize me saying it's been done sense July 26th. which is when I decided to let her have it about how they fucked up the time and I wouldnt listen to her smart mouth. when I finally was able to pick up my item the women working barely said a word to me. they also hadn't even cleaned the inside of my item just the outside. so not impressed and will ward off everyone i know who considers going there. not once did I get an apology from the staff for their rude behavior or shitty service. read more

I recently took my clothing to Country Squire. I had several pairs of pants pressed, two pairs hemmed, a couple zippers replaced, and two seems replaced. When I told them what I wanted done they gave me absolutely no price estimate. When I came to pick up my items they asked for far more than I expected. In tears I left with my things after paying. Once home I checked the items. I had asked them to take a stain out (the stain was still there), the seems in both pairs of pants were too long even though I was assured that they didn't need to measure me to get them right, and one of the seem repairs looks horrible. I called to speak with a manager but both of them were gone for the day. I'm not sure why you wouldn't always have a manager in the store especially since I was told (when I complained about not being warned about the price) that only the managers know how much things cost. I am extremely unhappy. I paid more than many of the items cost originally to have the work done and then they didn't even do a decent job. read more
