Today, I brought a pair of pants in with a broken zipper, and Aaron and Alexis were so helpful. Aaron prioritized my concern and took my pants to someone in the back for advice immediately. Alexis called the out-of-house tailor to see what could be done. Even though she had already taken the other clothes needing repairs to the tailor for the day, she offered to run my pants over to them so she and I could speak with them together. The tailor said I could get my pants from them Monday, and Alexis offered to pick them up so they would be ready at Starcrest with the other things I dropped off today. I felt like my needs were anticipated and I received a level of customer assistance that was above and beyond. I thought when you go to a laundromat it's to to get your clothes cleaned. I cannot believe how disgusting the starcrest cleaners on country Fair drive was the machines were disgusting. The floor was disgusting. I absolutely would not sit down in that place or set any of my items down on a floor table. You name it. It was so gross. I lived close to Starcrest in Champaign so I frequently did my clothes there. I have to say, they pretty much always did an incredibly job, even with some tough stains and some pretty finicky fabrics. I honestly gave them clothes, for which I didn't have much hope and they returned them to me pristine. I had this blouse, for example, with ruffles that needed to be ironed in a specific way in order to look proper and the shirty itself had gold speckles throughout. I was so nervous giving it to them worried that the sold speckled would get damaged in the cleaning. I really don't know how they did it, but that shirt came back to me clean, well ironed, and with the gold speckles intact. I recently moved to a different city and I just had my first dry cleaning experience here and it just pales compared to Starcrest. They are really professionals. read more

Perhaps the worst dry cleaner experience in my couple decades of business. Dress shirts are already priced high compared to Chicago suburb prices, surprisingly. The strangest thing was getting charged over $7 for a white tee shirt. This was not mentioned when they went through shirts to start. What is worst is the response when I called to ask about it. I rarely have felt a more combative negative conversation. I won't be back. There are others with much better service, quality and price. read more

I can't speak to the actual cleaning but Cle is an absolute angel! The customer service is amazing and she was such a joy to work with! They have dry cleaning/laundry services on the left and self serve on the right. For the self serve, they have plenty of machines (big and small) and even have arcade games and WiFi while you wait. Long Story Short:   Starcrest Cleaners tore my dress while cleaning it. Tony (manager) failed to tell me this because he 'forgot'.  He then had my dress altered to repair the damages without my permission.  He admitted this and admitted that he thought the damages could be repaired to where they were not visible. There was a delay in the cleaning due to the deceitful unethical activity. Once my dress was ready, I picked up and paid all without being told of the damages and alterations.  Once I noticed the horrific damages I called and complained and demanded this wrong to be corrected fairly.  I was given the run around for 2 full days offering me very low value from the manager Tony and Jen at the 'Home Office'.  I eventually was given 100% of the cost of the dress and reimbursed the $120 cleaning fee but I had to put up one hell of a fight and had to deal with a very uncompassionate, unethical, deceitful company. And had to deal with that rude horrible lady named Jen. She had the nerve to tell me what my dress cost.  I hope they lose business from this as they have taken something very priceless to me and ruined it.  I do not recommend this company to anyone. They are lucky I did not sue. read more

I never write reviews but I had to for their way of treating a disgruntled customer. I had my wife's sneakers cleaned here and both sides were damaged. Filed a damage report and the request was denied. The reason they gave was wear and tear. I told them that the tear that occurred where the heel of the foot enters the shoes couldn't be as severly damaged through wear and tear. The response was that I should have a picture before the damage to prove it. Who in the hell takes a picture of their shoes before leaving it at a cleaning store. I had my sneakers slighlty damaged at this store before this but I didn't notice it until I got home. Will never go back to this place! read more

The washers were great! My stuff came out really clean. But, when I went in a man was striping into his underwear to do his laundry and the worker was yelling at him to get dressed. After getting dresses he kept hovering around me asking for money. And I mean standing behind your back where you can't see him when your loading a front loader. THIS IS A MESSAGE IS TO THE MANAGER! Empower your employees to refuse service. I spent 30 dollars doing a bunch of laundry and bedding and I will not come back. I WILL SAY THIS AGAIN! I WILL NOT COME BACK! Or you can keep the patrons that do 1 load of laundry but beg for money and strip down to their underwear and chase away people like me doing 6 loads. It's uncomfortable and I would not suggest it to any women needing to do laundry. They will not feel safe with a 200 lbs man hovering around them asking for money or walking across the room specifically at you asking for detergent. read more

Terrible laundromat. The place is filthy. The coin washers large enough to wash a comforter cost $4.50? The lady working was very unhelpful. *After receiving comment from Luke at Starcrest I have chosen to edit this review. My review wasn't entirely fair. While I believed the cost was unjustly expensive, I wasn't aware of the fact that the larger washers held that large a quantity of loads. I was mainly looking for a location to wash a new comforter that I had purchased and didn't feel I could wash it in the commercial washer at my apartment complex. I'm really don't believe the cleanliness of the complex was much of an issue, my main issue was that I had brought a certain amount of money in quarters and didn't realize the expense I was getting into. I then asked if there was an ATM on site for me to withdraw the money I needed to wash my item and was told no there wasn't. I asked if there was an alternative washer that was less expensive and was told that the smaller washer couldn't hold very much, which in all honesty is likely a very true statement. At that point though I was upset, I had traveled there on foot, and frankly wasn't prepared for the expense and to be honest I manage an ATM that is in the same shopping center that I easily could have walked to, got the cash needed and returned to wash my item. Unfortunately I chose to write a review that was unfair and for that I apologize to Starcrest cleaners. I appreciate the feedback I received and hope users who read my initial review won't avoid Starcrest's complex due to the review. read more

I get my comforter washed here and am always satisfied with my service. It is a king sized so it is expensive but worth it. I had a little issue with them once but got my money back I paid for the cleaning and store credit. read more

Cle at Starcrest Cleaners is the bright spot of my day. She is always prompt, friendly, genuine, and on top of it. My clothes are always in pristine condition when I pick them up (and the drive thru window is awesome). But by far what keeps me coming back is Cle!! read more
