"When you need them back?" she asked suspiciously. "I'm in no hurry," I replied. "After the first of the year?" "OK," she said. "Just so you don't want them before Christmas. Everybody want before Christmas!" I took my receipt, went home and thought no more about it. The NEXT WEEK, I get a call saying all my pants were ready. "How can this be?" I asked, incredulously. "I thought you were swamped." "I see pants. I thought you should have for New Year's Eve," she said. They were hemmed expertly, and woefully underpriced. (I gave her a big Christmas tip!) I would recommend Kim without hesitation to anyone looking for a caring, professional tailoring job.

Gone for weeks and left customers hanging, didn't call, wouldn't return texts, or voicemails. They put up a hand written sign on the door weeks after they left. She had my clothes for over two months without notifying me she was leaving. Their neighbor business units said they do it often and have had a lot of complaints. I get it now. Typically does ok work-have brought many to her and occasionally has to redo several pieces bc she didn't bring in or shorten enough but doesn't charge for the second time. Lost all my business after that stunt- also still had to pay full price. Unacceptable to treat customers in this manner and many other local businesses would not treat their customers like this and think it was acceptable- I'll support them.

I gave her two pairs of pants-jeans that needed a ripped out belt loop reattached to a patch, and some suit pants that had ripped on the back seam due to a previous bad tailoring job. I dropped them off in the middle of the week, and she said they'd be ready by the following Monday, a few days later. I returned in the middle of the next week, and they still were not ready, she said come back later int he week, and when I did she said she forgot again and that they'd be ready the NEXT Monday. Fortunately I didn't urgently need the clothes, or this review would not be so favorable. This time, I absolutely needed them to be done since all my other suits were at the cleaners at the time. At last, she had them ready, and in fact called to confirm once they were. My return visit showed her work to be excellent. She was able to take out the previous tailor's shoddy work, actually adjusted the pants to fit me better and reinforcing the ripped seam. I haven't worn the jeans yet, but they look to be patched in a quality way that is hardly noticeable from the exterior. I will update if they fail. Four stars because even though she was late on her initial completion date, on top of the excellent work she did at quite a reasonable price ($15 total), she let me take my clothes and come back and pay another time since she forgot to tell me they were cash only during my first several visits and I really needed the suit pants when I picked them up. She is extremely nice and I think if one were to be very firm about saying they needed something by a certain date, she would probably follow through. TL; DR: Excellent work, good prices, but possibly not timely.

Barbara is a really lovely woman, and her prices are low, but DO NOT give her your wedding dress…read more She did a poor job taking in the bust of my dress, and the fabric didn't lie flat. Worse, she did a truly appalling job on the hem. (Which I didn't notice when I first picked it up, since it was hard to see the detail while I was wearing it myself.) I'm sure she would have offered to make further adjustments if I had taken it back to her, but frankly, it was such an uneven mess (JAGGED tulle in some places, the outer layer chopped higher than the layer underneath in one spot!) that if that's what she thought was acceptable in the first place, I did absolutely not trust her to fix it. I took it elsewhere, but even they couldn't make the hem perfect because I'd already planned on wearing flat shoes and taking off much more would have made it too short.

At 8:30am this morning, I received a phone call while at work telling me pick up my blazer "now" because she is leaving now and will not be returning until March. I tell her I am working and I have patients to see until noon and that I would be there at 1 pm. She tells me, "no, now". I live 40 minutes away - I ask my husband to go pick it up, I call her back and say he is on his way. 45 minutes later, he arrives and calls saying no one is there and the place is locked up. He leaves and 20 minutes later, I finally get a chance to call her back. She tells me to call him and tell him to wait. He was already on his way home! Not a single apology from her. I tell her that he was already there - she hung up on me. 10 minutes later, she called back. We agree to meet after work so I can pick up the blazer (she isn't supposed to be closed until Monday and the sign outside says she is open all day today). I express my frustration with the situation and she hung up on me. When I get there, it is again, closed. I waited 15 minutes for her to show up. I tried on the blazer and it is too tight. I'll be going somewhere else to have it fixed.
