I went to this laundromat on 3/6/25. There was trash all over the floor and no one appeared to be working in the self-service area. Simple story: brought in some scarves, sweaters, shirts and my favorite pair of leggings to be cleaned. The conclusion: the other stuff seems like it was fine (although I haven't had the time to inspect it thoroughly), but the leggings now have several holes and are no longer wearable (I've attached a photo of the worst part). Will NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. In conclusion, this place is the best if you want to pay people to put HOLES in your clothes and to not tell you. The actual laundry service is good, but I had a ridiculous dry cleaning experience. I brought a brand new coat to be dry-cleaned (still had the tags on) and when I picked it up it was absolutely destroyed, frayed, falling apart. When I raised an issue about it with the attendant she simply said "I have a note he that it was damaged when it came so there is not much I can do". On top of all that it was expensive, more expensive than anywhere I had my clothes cleaned before. So if you would like to pay out the door to destroy your wardrobe, bring it here. read more

Short version: beware of hidden and bogus charges I brought in 7 scarves (hijabs) to have ironed. They were already washed and cleaned at my house but I didn't want to iron and paid for the luxury. I specifically asked for all the items to be pressed only. When I picked up my items the man said the total was 80 dollars. I said that has to be a mistake. He showed me my items and how it was charged. They claimed some of my scarves were pants and put that under dry cleaned and spot removal. I told him I never asked for dry clean and clearly these items are not pants. I then showed pictures of my scarves before i sent them in for cleaning to show they weren't dirty to begin with so what are they spot cleaning and who gave them permission to do it? I was smart enough to take pictures of the scarves before because I was worried the gems and embroidery on it would ruin from being pressed by them. Thankfully nothing was ruined I was just unjustly charged. He seemed not to care and not to argue so he dropped the total by 50 dollars so I ended up paying about 30 dollars. Slimy business. If you put up a fight they easily drop the price, but it just causes unpleasantness when having to fight for what should be plain and simply right. read more

I dropped off a suit and tie for my husband's GMA's funeral - I dropped it off Saturday morning knowing the funeral was Tues and I needed it back before then. I was promised there would be no issue with pick up Monday. I called Monday around noon because I had not rec'd a text stating it was ready for pick up. The lady on the phone told me Mondays were extremely busy and it should be there by 530pm and I will get a text when it is ready for pick up. I never got a text so I called back up there and was told at 6pm that the machine broke at 2pm and nothing was cleaned and hopefully the suit will be ready by tomorrow at 530pm which is the day of the funeral! I was not happy and she gave me the phone number to the Zumbehl location to see if I could pick it up there tonight after it was cleaned. I called and the lady there told me the machine was still broke so I asked if I could come pick it up and try to iron it myself since it is my husband's ONLY suit for a funeral tomorrow and she told me they couldn't find the suit because there are piles of clothes. She said there was no way for me to pick it up because she knew it was in the building but had no idea where it was. I am furious as you can imagine!!! Do I go buy a new suit and you reimburse me for it?????? What are my options. She laughed and said no they couldn't do that. She told me I would get a text tomorrow when it was done and hung up. Very disappointed! I would suggest NOT using them unless you don't have a 3 day deadline. read more

Where do you go when your washer and dryer break down? How about Starcrest, which can boast it's own little "study room" with two desks, four chairs, and free wi-fi? That's right. I like to surf the net while separating my whites from the colors. And no, that's not racist. The washers are expensive--at least by my standards--$1.50 a wash, but they fit in more than your average washer. Dryers are about 25 centers per 7 minutes, but are HUMONGONORMOUS, so all told, washing two loads of laundry came to $3 in washing and $1.75 in drying (all of it fit in that one dryer and i let it run for 49 mins). The laundromat is clean and big, so that's a plus. Also, the wi-fi network....is named "Chuck likes Guys" Um, wow Chuck. Thanks for letting us all know via internet. We're very happy for you. Seriously, perhaps a greeting card would've better. I imagine Hallmark making the card, where the front would be a peaceful lake with the words: "Life has some surprises." Then the inside: "Like my newfound attraction to men." But since Hallmark isnt' yet that edgy, we have starcrest's wireless to make the announcements for us. read more

I went in for their fluff and fold service. My schedule has been very hectic so I thought I could rely on them to help me out, especially at over $1.6 per pound of clothes. I used the fluff and fold service 2 times. The first time, I was missing some pants. They agreed to refund me for the price of the pants in the form of store credit. So that forced me to go there again. The second time I used their service, I was returned a bag of clothes that was a mixture of mine and someone else's. I noticed this after I returned home, and promptly went back and returned the clothes that were not mine. I contacted the manager and he said he would have to call corporate about my situation. A few weeks later, I received a letter and a phone call from corporate. The letter stated that they watched video surveillance and saw the employee correctly separating my clothes from other clothes. The phone call stated that I must have come back and returned my OWN clothes because there is no way they could have messed up. They still refuse to refund me for any of my lost clothes or for their terrible service. Don't support this business please. read more

I continually give this place a second chance because it is among the cleanest dry cleaning facilities in town. Well, no more. They always leave the shirt stays in my dress shirts and I get them back with marks in the collars that do not go away. Just recently, they shrunk (quite badly) a cashmere sweater and not only refused to offer any type of compensation for the sweater, but they did not even apologize. I went outside for several minutes and waited on the benches while my clothes were drying, and I came back in to discover that my laundry bag was thrown in the trash and my $13 detergent bottle was put in their lost and found. I could understand if it had been sitting their all afternoon, but seriously it hadn't even been some 15 minutes and there were barely any customers there. I've been here twice now and both experiences have left more to be desired. I really haven't used laundry mats in the past, but given my current work situation, it is a convenient place to go. This most recent visit I had a number of items dry cleaned, including a suit. When I dropped the suit off, it had a cover on it to protect it. When I went to pick up my dry cleaning, the cover was gone. I asked where it was, and they insisted that they didn't have it, and I must have taken it with me (which I didn't). Pleasant, large, very clean laundromat with newer machines. There are five industrial-size washers that cost $5.50 each, and the other set of stainless steel front-loaders still holds a lot of clothes, and those cost $3.50. There's three change machines, some vending machines, and an ATM. They have a quiet study room, bathrooms, and lots of tables and chairs. There are also plenty of large flat-screen TV's. The parking lot is well lit, is right in front and there are plenty of parking spaces. No one says anything if you take a cart outside to unload your car - everyone was doing it. They are staffed open till close if any problems arise. Before I went, I called about their hours and a very friendly person answered my question. The hours listed on the Yelp page must be for the cleaners (which is in the same storefront, off to the side.) But both of the Starcrest coin laundry locations, on Country Fair and on Neil Street, are open until 11PM. When I was there, there were quite a few people, but plenty of breathing room. Customers seemed relaxed and friendly, and the location feels safe. I washed three large comforters and a blanket in the industrial-size machine, and a load of clothes in the $3.50 front-loader. The dryers only give you 6 minutes per quarter, but they were very efficient and everything was dry in much less than an hour. Total cost for all of this was $14.00. In my last town there were three laundromats and each one had its faults. One of the things I notice is if the machines are stingy on water. Starcrest's machines seemed to use plenty of water, which is really great, because it means the soap will really get rinsed out, and you won't have residue from the soap that the last person used in the machine. Please note that they only take cash, and do not have any kind of card reader on their machines. Nice laundromat all-in-all. It's too bad they're not open 24 hours! As far as I can tell, CU doesn't have a laundromat that's open all night, so Starcrest might be your best bet. read more

This place has roaches!!!!! I already had my laundry in the washers so I risked it today, but I can never come back here, or I might find myself going home with a bunch of new very nasty friends!!!!!!!! It looks averagely clean, there was soap spilled all over the washers, which wasn't from me because I only use pods. I've never used the dry clean service here, but I won't now that I've seen all of the roaches. I just hope the dryers are hot enough to burn them if they are hiding in there. I killed one that was on one of my washers with a dryer sheet. I saw 2 more on the floor and placed my basket on some seats so that it might have less of a chance of them hiding on them. I will never come back here again. It's a shame it was the one closest to my apartment. read more

Twice now I have been overcharged for dry cleaning at Starcrest, once at the Round Barn location and once at the Windsor Road location. The first time occurred a few months ago. The second time occurred this week. My husband brought in a suit and a $10 coupon. The fee for the suit was $12. His charge should be $2, right? Well, they charged him once for $12 and again for $2! To be fair, they refunded our over-charge last time and assure us they will again. However, now that it has happened twice, I do not trust them. Update: A day later, still no credit. I drove down there with receipts. Tony, the manager, said his records show I was refunded... twice. Final Update: A week later, a $12 credit showed up on my acct. A few days after that, a second $12 credit showed up on my acct. On this same day, I removed a silk shirt from my closet... a silk shirt that I was charged for full dry cleaning service. On the hanger was a tag noting that it was to simply be pressed. Sigh. read more

This laundromat is the cleanest one we have ever been to. There are plenty of TV's to watch, laptop tables with plugins, multiple irons, tables with hanging rails, men and women restrooms, a small smoking room and the staff is really helpful. This laundromat is connected to the dry cleaners and the air conditioning is comfortable. I honestly have never expected much from a laundromat but after seeing this one, I will always compare the rest to here. read more

This place has it's perks from FREE WiFi, study room for students to do work and, a laundromat and dry cleaning in one. Unfortunately the laundromat part of this business need some major TLC. I'm going to start with their machine prices are ridiculous, for me personally. Not only are they a bit over priced but I've noticed when the hot water is selected, no hot water really comes out, only semi-warm water. The machines don't wash as good as-as i would liKe them too. Clothes come out same as dirty as they went in. The top loaders, don't even bother. The dryers take a good $2-$3 dollars for your clothes to dry and that is also when high heat is selected. It had a great amount of space and machines for customers but they need to lower the machiness prIces and get them checked monthly for proper consumer satisfaction. Also a little something extra, please fix the flinging fans in the ceiling. I get paranoid one day they will cause someone harm. read more

definitely the best laundromat i have found in the c-u area. it's got plenty of washers and dryers, as well as industrial sized ones for the time that you want to wash all your sheets, your comforter and your towels at once...very nice to have! the normal washers are $1.50/load and then the dryers are $.25/7 minutes. i was able to fit 3 loads into one dryer and run it for 35 minutes and everything was dried to perfection! they have plenty of push-carts to haul your loads in, as well as folding tables... then there's also tables with 2 chairs at each around the laundromat, in addition to a "quiet" study room at the back that i think has a couple desks and tables. also have a coupel flat-screen tv's, 2 bathrooms, vending machines (both for food and for detergent), and a coin machine. what else could you need? oh---it's also attached to the starcrest dry cleaners where if you're too lazy to sit and do your own laundry, they will do it for you (no clue on cost/how long it takes since i've never done it). they do have super speedy dry cleaning though.... read more

i can't speak for the laundromat, but the dry cleaning there was sub-par. i took in two down-filled winter coats, they took about 4 days. one came back in good shape, the other was wet, with the down filling in clumps. sure, they were polite and quickly took it back to re-do (dry) it for free, but i was coat-less another 3 days in the middle of winter, and that jacket simply does not "feel" the same, i.e. seems thinner and colder ever since. read more

I had a very unfortunate experience at another cleaners that left my $160 dress with horrible stains rendering it unwearable. I brought the dress to Starcrest just to see what they could do. Not only did they say they'd give it a shot, but they said that they wouldn't make me pay for it if they didn't get it clean; how nice! As i sit there i saw something move out of the corner of my eye. I didnt pay too much attention to it. A few minutes later I saw something move again. This time I looked and it was a roach. A couple of minutes later, there was another one. I got up and went to the desk in the laundromat section. I said i dont want to alarm you, but you have roaches. The cleaners was a bad choice. I went there to get my suit pressed and a spot off my suit. When I went to pick it up the suit was wrinkled and the fabric was coming off my suit. It cost me $11.25 for a wrinkled suit. I prefer not to go there never again in a lifetime. read more
