I took a black wool coat here to be cleaned and it was returned to me covered in some kind of white fuzz. After unsuccessfully lint rolling it repeatedly I took my coat back to the cleaners where the woman behind the desk looked at me like I was an idiot and pulled out a lint roller. When that didn't work she said they could take the coat back and clean it again, and because that didn't work (I was moving out of state before they'd be done with it, also 0% trust) said she could not refund the $15 they charged me, but the manager could at the other location across town. When I took it there, turns out the manager is only present from 7-9am. Took my coat to another cleaner and was told that what had likely happened was Concord Cleaners had dryed it with something fuzzy and it was best to just buy a defuzzing comb and try to fix it myself. Would never recommend this cleaner to anyone. read more

Absolutely the worst dry cleaner I have ever been to. Every time I go in there I get hassled about something. Their services are overpriced, as are all dry cleaners in this town ( it cost me $6.50 per suit when I lived in Chicago, where I typically think of everything being overpriced). However, at Concord, you over pay and then you can't tell if they've even cleaned your clothes. I leave there frustrated every. single. time. Go to Colony Square where the staff is friendly, intelligent, and good at what they do. read more

I took a pair of nice jeans here to have the hem shortened a few inches. The jeans were brand new, never worn. When I took them in the Concord, I was greeted by a very friendly man who assured me they could do the job for around $15. He said there would be no dry cleaning charge since the jeans were brand new. I was told they would be ready in a week. When I picked up the jeans they were awful. The hem was completely ruined, the stitching was uneven and was falling apart already. The jeans were dry cleaned. They charged us $27! It was supposed to be at the most $15. After complaining to the manager and bringing the jeans back in, they agreed to give us a refund and have the jeans re-hemmed since they were so bad. I was told this would take an additional week. Three weeks later the jeans had not even been sent to the tailor. After numerous stops, and phone calls I did finally get the jeans hemmed, and I did not need to pay for them. However, I would have much rather paid a decent tailor a fair price to do them properly in a timely fashion. The young man that works there is very nice, but I would never take anything there again. Wanted to follow-up. I took my jacket back to Concord a final time, and they offered to replace the zipper. Since it's a complicated seam, I was nervous about having them do this and wanted to know exactly where they'd be sending the coat. The employee offered to have the manager call me with more details, so I left the coat with him with a promise not to do anything until they had talked to me. The manager didn't call, so I called back a few days later and was told that they could try to fix the zipper again--it had probably just been done improperly the first time. I agreed to this, and they fixed the zipper, which seems to be working well now. I'll probably give them another go since my clothes came back clean and unstained, but I'll be very wary about sending them anything zippered again! read more

I've never been wildly impressed but they get things done the same day if you drop it off in the morning so I've gone there for that reason. Until today. I noticed the shirt that I picked up last night didn't have the stains removed with a little preprinted tag that said they couldn't get the stains out from deodorant. However, there are spots from the dry cleaning fluid all over the back and a few on the front of the sleeveless sweater. I had this same shirt dry cleaned in Chicago with no problems. Other times I've gone I've had to take back dress pants because they don't have a crease. I've learned my lesson and will look for another cleaner! read more

I took in 6 garments, two pair of slacks, a silk polo and three dress shirts for dry cleaning. Firstly, way overpriced; each article is $3.50, even dress shirts. Unfortunately, I was in a pinch for time and went with Concord anyway. Secondly, two of the dress shirts came back with large ink stains on them. The other dress shirt is covered with lint. Thirdly, the silk polo came back with a large snag. Finally, the slacks are wrinkled. I am not sure how this company stays in business. read more

I took a cashmere sweater in for dry cleaning and received it back with a polka-dot pattern of gunk (looked like dried, dirty solvents?) all over the inside. I asked them what it was and for them to fix the problem, and they denied they had done it (they most certainly had). This gunk still hasn't come off at other dry cleaners. These guys are located right downtown, making it easy to pickup and drop off shirts for dry cleaning. Prices seem reasonable and their turn-around times are good. Last time they miscounted the number of shirts but didn't charge me for the extra one. The lady who works there gets pretty cranky if you come in at the end of the day but she does good work. My only request would be to extend the hours a little on weekdays so its easier to get there after work hours. read more

NEVER GO HERE!!!! I brought in a couple things for stain removal and though they got one stain out before I left, gave the clothes back without any others removed! The workers and manager were both VERY hostile and despite not doing anything for me, they insisted I pay the full $20 bill and when I asked for at least a discount they held my clothes hostage for the full amount. I attempted to call their corporate office and found out they are not owned by the larger company so I don't even know if there's anybody holding them accountable. I have never had such a negative experience in a dry cleaners. read more

These people are terrible! Incredibly rude and don't do anything close to a good job. I would leave a 0 if I could. I brought my wedding dress there right after my wedding, they told me it would take a month. I went back 2 days later than the quoted day and my wedding dress was crumpled up in a bin and hadn't been touched. Was told to come back the first of the week, went back and dress was still sitting in the same bin. My dress had spray tan stains on it and it was left sitting there for over a month without any kind of pre-treating at all. Because of that, they had to clean it twice and the stains still are not completely gone. Then they still charged me $100! Neither I nor anyone I know have had spray tan stain clothes if they are treated promptly and properly. This place has terrible customer service and clearly doesn't know how to take care of delicate garments. read more

Save Yourself the Frustration!!! After spending an average of $50.00 per week as a new customer (For Seven Weeks!!), finally cut my losses after $90.00 worth of business shirts were damaged and not re-imbursed. Concord Cleaners consistently ripped buttons off and stained business shirts during the cleaning process. When I complained about the necessity of using dark thread when replacing the buttons, to match the other buttons on the shirt, the employee after using white thread simply took an ink pen and began to color the thread on a $45.00 business shirt. Conversations with the area manager produced no results as he was dismissive and very unprofessional. Workers consistently did not Starch or Dry Clean as directed and often gave me someone else's clothes. I took 2 coats to them and they said it would be two days which was kinda long but fine. Two days later they didn't have them done and had no idea where they even were. Finally they found them and I got them. I just opened them up and one of them smell heavily of cigarette smoke. I am allergic to cigarette smoke and it didn't smell like it when I took it in. Worst dry cleaning experience ever. So I paid $30 to make my coats smell like cigarette smoke. Great. read more

This place is awful. It costs almost 3 times as much as any dry cleaner i have ever been to. I took a suit here because I had an unfortunate encounter with someone vomiting on my collar. It took them a whole week to "have it ready" and when I come back after the due date it isn't there and the lady is rude. She explained "she is too busy and there alone" and that I should come back in a couple hours. I come back hours later and she didn't even try to find it. I came back the next day and the man there didn't know anything about it either. They tell me they will call when they find it. I got a call almost 2 weeks after I dropped it off saying it is in the store. I show up and they try to charge me for service but say that there is nothing they can do to clean it. They didn't even try to clean the suit pants that didn't have any vomit. Needless to say I won't be coming back and you should avoid it as well. read more

i have mixed feelings about this place. the "good" are the u-of-i staff/student discount days (wednesdays, i think). the "bad" are the generally negative attitude of the people who work there (we call them "the dry cleaning nazis") and the fact that i've been finding yellow stains on some of my clothes after getting them back. read more

WARNING: Do not bring anything here with a stain! They shouldn't be called cleaners, but instead people who only know how to iron/press, NOT clean. I brought 3 items into them, 1 of which had a food stain (acquired the night before). I went to pick them up and the one with the stain still had the stain. I asked them to clean it again and try ANYTHING to get it out, even signed a waiver. I came back to pick it up and it still wasn't clean. The woman started laughing at the situation. I didn't think it was funny. I asked for my money back and her response was, "Well, if we refunded everyone who's stain we didn't remove, we'd be out of business." So you do this often?!?!?! Horrible service and terrible cleaners. Thank G-d for Starcrest cleaners who were able to work their magic and save my $160 dress. read more

I had a horrible experience. I do not recommend them. Denny's is the place to go. I asked Concord to dry clean two dresses. The dresses came back exactly the same with perspiration odor. I asked Concord to redo them to rid them of this odor and they responded that dry cleaning does not accomplish this. When I protested, they said they would try. They did not get the odor out but they told me they did. I took it to Denny's and they were amazing. They got it out and had pride in their work. I called Concord to tell them they did not get the odor out and Denny's did. Their only response was I could not have my money back and have a nice day. read more

I've used them often, but the experience leaves much to be desired. They are very trustworthy - have been called when a few dollars were left in a jacket. However, they aren't great at stain removal and seem very expensive (though dry cleaning is outrageous anymore). Also, very rude and grumpy when dropping off clothes close to closing time. read more

I was new in town and came to Concord for my dry cleaning needs because of a coupon. Unfortunately, the service was poor and the Concord associate was unkind. A lack of communication on the part of the associate resulted in several wasted trips back and forth to the store, and in addition, the stains did not come out of one of my items. The cost was higher than anticipated as the coupon was not accepted for a number of my items. Upon speaking with the manager, no effort was made to amend the situation. Less than 1 star! I took several items in to be cleaned. When returning home, I looked at the slacks and the waist line looked all "pilly" like a worn sweater will do. I took the pants back and explained that the pants were not like this when I brought them in. They said they would have said "manager" look at them, and to check back Monday. When I did, there was no difference and I was told it was from normal wear and tear. A pair of pants I rarely wear because they don't fit, and apparently wear with a spiky belt, and lean up against things in because I'm a lazy nurse with a sit down desk job. No. I take very good care of my clothing because of where I have to buy it and how much I have to spend on it (at least for pants). The manager argued with me, did not apologized, offered no compensation services, reimbursement for services, or for the pants. They looked brand new when I took them in. $70 brand new. Needless to say I will never be frequenting their establishments again. Run. Far, far away! read more
