Vegetable Beef Soup

Back again . Coming from from ocean city. Had to stop again. Was very good. Hot and fresh. Only complaint was the pancakes were a little rubbery. Kind of hard to cut. I had the gyro omelette which was awesome. See you in a few months.

Breakfast menu was very bland and burnt. Waitress forgot multiple things when my family asked multiple times for stuff. The butter is melted and looks old. Table was dirty and not wiped down before we sat down. Don't go here save your money!!!

Asked for medium burger..NOT shoe leather.

We were looking for a nice lunch on our way home from Virginia Beach. We sat for 25 minutes and no one came to serve us. Won't stop again.

Exactly as named - comfort food, well prepared, tasty, friendly service. High quality diner-type food in a strip mall storefront.

Since we were going to be in the Millsboro, DE area, I was not sure I would find anything unique or interesting. I came across Kaisy's Delights on Yelp. The reviews were pretty good, and the most recent one I saw was about three months old. After looking at the menu and reading the reviews, I decided to give it a try. When we arrived, the place immediately caught our attention. The building used to be a small bank, and the interior still has the original vault, which makes it really interesting. A young couple with a small child walked in just ahead of us, and the owner invited both of us into the vault. He showed us pictures and shared the story of his family and how the restaurant came to be, along with the inspiration behind the food. My wife ordered the Sweetie Kaiserschmarrn, and I ordered the Skier's Kaiserschmarrn. Kaiserschmarrn is a fluffy, caramelized Austrian shredded pancake, often called Emperor's Mess. It is made from a thick batter with separated eggs, torn into pieces while cooking, and served with powdered sugar and fruit. It has a light, almost soufflé-like texture. My order also came with two sausages. The meal was excellent. The owner was very interactive and enjoyable to talk with. My wife and I both grew up around restaurants, so we tend to notice the details. The place was very clean. The table setting and dining ware were simple and nice. The presentation of the Kaiserschmarrn looked like a mess, which is exactly how it is supposed to look, and it tasted wonderful. We really enjoyed both the food and the conversation. Hearing the owner's story and how he got to where he is today made the experience even better. I would highly recommend giving Kaisy's Delights a try. There are a few more items on the menu I would like to try, and we will be going back.

It was not busy at all when we arrived on a Monday mid morning so we were seat immediately and the server was quick to give us a drink. She was very helpful explaining what some of the menu items were so we could make an informed decision. For our meal we had the Our Iconic Grostl and an open faced Latke - the Jambon de Paris, eggs and cheddar. The Grostl was good, tasty sausage and potatoes and the Jambon was a layer of thinly slicked ham. It was very good but the serving size was rather small for the price. Overall it has lots of options and is worth a try. I would have liked to try one of the pastries but maybe next time.

SO, we decided we had the time, we were hungry & nearby, so we made our way to what is now called Whiskers Saloon. We were greeted warmly by Jay who was manning both the bar and customers at tables. We took some time to peruse the 2 page menu looking for both old favorites and what's new. I decided to try one of my usual sandwiches, The Rachel for comparison sake & added Sweet potato fries (additional upgrade). I asked & was happy the special spicy sauce I loved to combine with the fries was still available under a different name, Texas sauce. I will say, my sandwich was much better than in "the old days" because this was made with actual carved turkey thick slices as opposed to thin cold cut turkey from prior ownership. I was a happy camper! My hubby tried something new to him at Whiskers, he had a chicken cheesesteak sub and was pleasantly surprised and impressed to find it was not finely chopped up chicken, but cut up grilled chicken chunks with nicely sautéed onions. We were happy to return, pleased to find that good quality & taste was still there and its what we were used to after almost 15 years of frequenting here. We were happy to see Commanders game & flag displayed for this Sunday game with many fans inside boisterously enjoying the game playingon all the tvs. All day specials were going on today and Jay told us everything they were offering on the specially priced menu which was a nice extensive list of bar food and drinks, including $3 Yeungling.

So let me say with certainty and confidence that Porto Pizza & Grill blew me and my expectations away. I'm an Italian Jersey born boy who's had the privilege of living in one of the pizza capitals of the world, being close to New York, New Haven and Philadelphia. Ive had the luxury and ability to sample all of my favorite pizza styles and variations, so I'm proud of my standards and tastes when it comes to Pizza. Delaware is NOT a state where I've enjoyed pizza and Italian food in general, but my goodness has my faith been restored by Porto's. As soon as a I walked in, the vibe and ambiance screamed "authentic" and "soul." My family and I knew we were in for a good meal immediately. The margarita pizza is easily the best pizza I've had the pleasure of experiencing in the entire state of DE and arguably most spots I've frequented in NJ and NY. The owners really put pride and love into their food, the service and the business as a whole. There is absolutely a lot of life this place has to offer and you can count on me returning again. My family and I will back to extract more of that fire from the people, the pizza and especially those hot burning ovens. Bravo Porto, keep it up and I pray this review aids you and brings in more traffic. Really impressed!

We were here in March on a Sunday at 2 PM for happy hour at the bar with our friends. We were able to get 5 bar stools in a row. The bar area is relatively unchanged except for some new paint, however the two adjacent dining areas to the left and right of the bar were totally renovated and painted white with a much cleaner and brighter appearance. I enjoyed my usual 2 rum punches for $10 each and my usual happy hour broiled blackened flounder fish sandwich with tomato, red onion, lettuce, french fries, cole slaw and tartar sauce for $12. I opted for their hot sauce on my flounder and french fries. Bartender Andrea F. served us very well as usual. Consistency is a character of this restaurant. My total bill was $77 excluding gratuity. We are vegetarians and were dining outside with our Samoyed service dog. We requested a very minor modification to a menu item -- removing turkey and substituting two eggs over easy, since there were very limited vegetarian protein options available. Our waitress kindly informed us they did have eggs, but later explained that the chefs "do not make substitutions" because that is simply how they operate. What made the situation frustrating was that the restaurant was mostly empty at the time, so it did not appear to be an issue of being overwhelmed or unable to accommodate a reasonable dietary request. We spoke with the manager but never received a clear explanation or any attempt to work with us. For a restaurant that presents itself as accommodating and upscale, the unwillingness to make such a simple vegetarian substitution felt unnecessarily rigid and not particularly customer-friendly. The outdoor seating was pleasant, and the waitress herself tried to help, but the overall experience left us disappointed. Restaurants today should be able to accommodate basic vegetarian requests, especially when they are simple and reasonable.

This year, I was back in the area for work again and this place did not disappoint. It was just as good as the year before and I had a chance to visit a few more times. Tried the following over a few visits: - fish and chips, excellent crust and large pieces of fresh fish, the slaw was a great side and the Old Bay fries hit the spot - blackout cake, very very rich, needed to takeaway to finish - mussels, the bivalves here has some natural pearls... beware when having the mussels, it isn't sand that's making that crunch, its tiny pearls; although the flavor was great, having the eat around the pearls made it quite the experience, to each their own, I did see in the news that a patron in a restaurant in the area found a rare pearl in their meal worth $$ - scallops risotto, this was my favorite and will be ordering again when I'm back in a few months The Happy Hour deals are pretty good and check out their weekly events for live music, trivia, and other regular events. All regular drinks are on the house. The staff was great and attentive. The patio, bar, and regular dining area had good coverage and had great lighting. The Broad Creek is steps away and is refreshing. There are some birds that keep to themselves and it makes the dining experience quite enjoyable.

In my opinion, barbecue restaurants should have a room in the back for naps, because that is what you will be doing after you eat here. It does get a bit loud here with the live entertainment, and parking can be hard to find on weekends, but that is understood. Better than an empty lot and walking out on an empty stomach.
