I LOVE LOVE LOVE their lunch specials! (It's very rare for me to enjoy food in the greater Austin area because of the constant poor quality). But the Cotton Patch Cafe is different! I had the tilapia over seasoned rice with mac & cheese and broccoli for the sides. (All under $15). Fast service. & tastes home-cooked. Despite it being located in a strip mall, I couldn't be more pleased! I will definitely put this restaurant in heavy rotation. read more

This is one of my favorites. I usually get their food delivered, but today I met my friend for lunch. I was greeted at the door by a very friendly hostess who seated me while I waited for my friend. We had a very efficient waitress who was always there to help. It was a fairly busy lunch hour, but our food arrived fast and nice and hot. I ordered the Wrangler and my friend had salmon. It was delicious, but we'd already decided on our desserts so we were careful not to fill ip. I ordered the blackberry cobbler and she had peach cobbler. It was so good. I think I may have died and gone to heaven while eating it. read more

I've ordered through Uber Eats as well as their online pick-up, and both experiences have been great. The rolls are amazing honestly better than Texas Roadhouse! Their peach pie cobbler is also delicious, perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. They're located in a busy plaza, right at the corner near Ike's Sandwiches. There's plenty of parking, but you do have to cross the road to get there. I've only ordered to-go so far, and everything we've tried has been excellent. Highly recommend! Definitely family friendly and lots of seating available. read more

We had a lovely experience. We were greeted at the door, seated right away and given recommendations on choices. The waitress Xara was enthusiastic and very helpful. We each got something different (4 of us). We shared each other's plates and not one of us said "that's no good". We will definitely be back! read more

First of all, the service was excellent from the moment we came in the restaurant. The food was also excellent. The restaurant was very clean and well taken care of. We've been to several Cotton Patch restaurants in other cities and they don't hold a candle to the Wolf Ranch location. We moved to Georgetown 6 months ago and have frequented this location. They must have top notch employees and a top notch manager because it shows! read more

Service was great as always. Took my friend and his parents there for their first time and they were impressed with the menu and Shrimp dinner. Personally I like the Chicken and dumplings, but this time around it got to the table and it was not very hot. It was like like warm. My friend's mother also ordered the chicken and dumplings and commented on how it was not very hot. Other than that, the waitress was pleasant and professional and made you errors with any of the orders. read more

I should've known this place wasn't going to be great when I saw all the "elite" reviews. The service itself was friendly, but the food was disappointing -- bland yet overly salty. The restaurant could really use a deep clean: the walls by the booths were dirty, the lamps and seats needed a good wipe down, and the ceiling vents were pretty gross. My husband ordered the chicken avocado sandwich, and the fries tasted like they came straight from the freezer. The queso was thin and watery, almost like they added water to stretch it out. Every time I asked for napkins, they only brought a few -- it just felt like they were cutting corners everywhere. I ordered the Cajun Duo, and it was completely flavorless. Overall, it's not worth the money. Save yourself the disappointment and go somewhere else. read more

This is becoming my favorite food to order to go! Consistently perfect - hot and professional. And might I add ... YUMMY!!!

I got the 6oz sirloin asked for cooked medium it was medium rare. The corn was over cooked and had no flavor. Server never said her name and laughed when I ordered awkwardly at nothing also took forever to come back and bc heck on us. Will not come back. read more

Cotton Patch/Georgetown has gone downhill in the last couple years or so. Server really messed up the order. Food isn't as good as it used to be. read more

Service and food were alright, chicken and dumplings has no flavor to them, but i was really grossed out by the server bussing tables and then immediately touching our food in the expo area with no gloves just grabbing the toppings for my baked potato bare handed out of the containers and prepping/ touching all the plates. I cant imagine the sanitation or cross contamination in the back of house if they just do that in front where everyone can see. read more

UUUUGGGHHH. What a total drag. My wife and I hit this place on the way home from our weekend in Denton. We don't have Cotton Patch Cafe down our way and wanted to try something different. I'd been before (Lubbock, Texas), but it's been years. We walked into the location post-Sunday church rush, probably about 1:30 and the place was pretty empty. Unfortunately, our service matched the slow, empty vibe. My wife ordered right away for our little one to go ahead and get her fed - and she ordered an appetizer. Several minutes later, I still hadn't ordered and wondered audibly, "did she (our waitress) think that's all we were going to order?". We also had to waive her down a couple times during the meal, which again, we felt shouldn't have been necessary given the nearly-empty restaurant. The food, although it came out quickly, was mediocre. We ordered a small burger patty with cheese for the little one; it was oversalted. Even my wife, who adds salt to everything, stated it was salty. I opted for the chicken fried steak, which was okay, but nothing to write home about. The mashed potatoes, however, were obviously reheated and borderline cold and hard. I was a fan, though, of the jalapeno gravy served with the CFS - great flavor. Don't get me wrong, this was almost a 2-starer, but I'm taking into consideration we were dealing with a fussy 1yo who'd been on the road a couple hours before we stopped for a break. Plus, the bread they serve is pretty yummy! read more

This was the best experience I've had at a Cotton Patch Cafe in a very long time. The server was amazing, my Wife and I got Chicken Fried Steak and it was hot, fresh, and delicious. I will absolutely come back to this location anytime I want to go to Cotton Patch Cafe read more

As promised, I'm on a road trip that's dedicated to finding perfectly prepared and fried catfish and hushpuppies. And this is one of them. In one word, my sister in law described the hushpuppies... "superb" & when it comes to hushpuppies, she knows her stuff! Well seasoned with the right amount of spice, crunchy on the outside and luscious inside. Yum! The catfish was "clean" lightly "cornmealed" with just enough to stick, crispy outside, delectable inside. What more could you wish for? Loved the fresh broccoli, and the yellow squash is a slightly sweet compote of light breading, onions and too yummy for this girls diet. Hubby urged me to try his fried chicken breast tenders. "I know you don't like white meat, because it's tough and dry, but you have to take a bite of this" He was so right, and helped him polish off his generous serving. Portions were generous, well prepared, good quality and service was delightful. I'll be back! read more

Not bad. This is my second visit, and it was better than the first. I ordered the strawberry pecan salad, and it was just ok. Very few strawberries on it for the price. There was a lot of bitter lettuces in it too. The service was good, and no issues with splitting the check. The restaurant was clean & our table was nice. I'll return in the future, but I think I'll try a different meal. read more

Great service! Burger was very good. Reasonably priced menu and my son enjoyed the Mac and cheese!

ORDER - Mozzarella Cheese Sticks - Chicken Fried Chicken - Rice and Broccoli Casserole - French Fries Mozzarella Cheese Sticks bring me back to my childhood. The outside is crispy and the cheese is stringy and melted. It was served with marinara sauce and ranch. Both the sauces tasted good and the Mozzarella Cheese The Chicken Fried Chicken was crunchy, but overall I would say the flavor of the chicken itself was pretty bland. I got jalapeno gravy which added a little kick and made the chicken slightly better. The rice and broccoli casserole tasted good and was well-flavored. The french fries were a little on the soggy side. I will note that the ranch tastes good though. Overall the food is pretty average (if not below average :(( ) VIBES There is plenty of seating available and most everything is wood to give some type of country vibe. There were a lot of families there as well. The atmosphere isn't too loud, but I will note something that was noticeable was that the tables, menus, and chairs all kind of felt sticky. SERVICE It took a while to be greeted at the front, especially with a noticeable party (we had 9 people crowded at the door) making the front area very crowded as more people poured in. It kind of seemed like we were being ignored despite the seated area not being very full. When seated, our waitress was very sweet; however, I will say that it took very very long for our water and drinks to be refilled. Additionally, the food took a really long time to come out. read more

First time here we were with a very large group the service by our waitress Lindsey was excellent. She was very attentive and made herself readily available throughout our dining experience. Now for the food.... the selections were plentiful and portion size was large. I couldn't decide between the regular size turkey plate or the $9.99 meatloaf daily special. I ended up ordering the turkey. The meal was very tasty that I ended up ordering the meatloaf to go! It's so nice to find a restaurant that doesn't break the bank, quality food and great service thank you for making our first visit a memorable one. I decided to cater my Easter meal the next day from this restaurant. read more

Very nice classic country restaurant. Great cornbread skillet appetizer. Fried mushrooms!!! My hubby has been a fan ever since they opened their first location in Nacogdoches in 1989. He says they keep getting better. Lordie, chicken fried bacon y'all. Country Fried steak with jalapeño gravy is perfect. Yes jalepeno gravy is an option!!! Seize the day and be brave. It's not hot, just a light jalepeno kiss. They have grilled and baked entries as well. Salads are crisp, fresh and very nice. You can tell that the ingredients are fresh, not frozen or canned. Service is on point. Friendly sweet and check in regularly but never too often. Country music on but just enough to not be too loud. Oh and the desserts are just American goodness start to finish. read more

We were brought here for dinner by family who live locally. I had the chicken fried chicken and it was amazing! Tender, so fresh and a delicious batter. I had the corn and delicious mac n' cheese. Have you ever had a food that for years and years you would never order because you just knew deep down inside that you wouldn't like it? Then one day you have some and change your mind? That's me with Sweet Potato Fries. I think I must always thought of them as French Fry 'Wannabes.' The thing with Sweet Potato Fries is that you have to eat them in the right frame of mind. Don't think "French Fry," think Sweet Potato shaped like a French Fry (but thats where the similarity stops). I decided to be adventurous and have some tonight at Cotton Patch. I think they lightly dusted them with cinnamon and sugar. It was like eating a not overpowering sweet potato that was soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. I loved them. But partly, I think because of the right frame of mind. They were just great. The Bacon Cheese Fries here are our favorite in the area. Good service, reasonable price. I am waiting now for our limited edition Pumpkin Crunch... oops it just got here. Looks amazing. read more

I ordered for pickup on a Wednesday at 5 PM - order set to be ready at 5:15. I arrived at 5:25 to pick up my order and then they tell me that they don't have one of the entrees available anymore.... so I select something else and proceed to then wait 30 more minutes. Meanwhile all the original order is full. Lots wrong with this operation and I don't recommend if you want decent service or warm food. (They didn't call to ask me for a different selection on my order and not offered a discount or water while I wait) Hopefully never going back again. read more

Wow! Terrible service! This is the second time we've come here recently and both times the waitress goes home and no one picks up our table. When finally the food comes, it's cold. I visit this place when I'm in the area. Good, usually quick food weekdays. I have to give a shout out to Noah, a server, who noticed the bar server was paying me no mind to take my order, instead attending to her 3 tables in the dining room. We stopped in for dinner Monday evening. It had been more than 2 years since we had tried them. Guess we should have waited longer. They were not busy when we got there. We were seated at a "booth" where the table was EXTREMELY sticky. We couldn't wipe it off. That should have been the sign that I paid attention to. Ordered Chicken Fried Steak and the Turkey Dinner. Well, it was over 30 minutes from the time we ordered until the food arrived. I will say that the waitress was kind and brought us two more rolls while we waited. Comments about the Turkey Dinner - not too bad. It was hot, the dressing was flavorful, and the corn was hot. As for the Chicken Fried Steak - we never got it. What we received was Chicken Fried Chicken (not the Monday special that we had ordered), but considering the amount of time we spent waiting on the food - we decided not to push it. The wait staff was friendly, but I generally would have expected a manager to come out and apologize for the long delay getting our food. People that came in after us, ordered, ate and left before we were able to eat our dinners. I'm surprised that this place is still in business. We won't be back. read more

First time I've placed an order to pick up. CHECK YOUR ORDER before you leave. I should have known better no dressing or utensils and unfortunately having to eat in the field with my hands. Avocado is already browning, lots of white bark lettuce. Took 30 minutes to make the salad and fry the shrimp. Attentive staff just not very detailed oriented. Changed to two stars after opening the cake I was upsold...not very appealing. read more

Ordered food via Phone. Came to pickup said order. They messed up my order and put something that was requested off in there. Came back to get it fixed and asked for it to be redone. They give me back the same plate of food with the ingredient just removed. There is still plenty of little bits in there, asked again to actually had it remade. Don't treat people like idiots. This place is pretty mediocre. We shopped in Target and found this place so we just came in and we're seated right away. The parking is easy to find but the lot is huge so it was not an issue. We came here on a Saturday night at 6:30. Our server came to get our order quickly and was sweet and made us feel welcome. She answered all my questions and helped me substitute something. The ambiance was meh and I wished we had gone to the place next door. The food came out and it was disappointing. We started with drinks and they were gross, then moved on to the fried pickles which was the best part of the meal. My meal was a grilled cheese with mashed potatoes and my husband got chicken fried brisket which was not great. We left with a $46 bill which should have only cost us half since that is how everything tasted in quality. It would take A LOT to get me to come back here. Most likely a one time experience. How sad! read more

From the moment we walked thru the door to the moment we walked out (with a full belly) we were treated like family. Lindsey did a marvelous job as hostess, waitress & cashier. I swear to Christ you have to be incompetent to work here. Never. Never. Never. Order anything to go from this place. They will F*** it up every time. I don't know what is so hard about making sure all 5 ingredients are actually on a salad, but these folks win the prize for only being able to count to 4. I'm done with this business. Nothing more frustrating than getting a To-Go than to get home and find out they messed it up. Then what??? Stupid managers! And the service recovery SUCKS! So read this review corporate and give me a call. There are too many other businesses in town that will actually get it right than to do business with you again. read more

Cute place, good service, sub-par food, there are better choices for food in the area.

We needed a nice home cooking place to host a graduation lunch and found this place on a map. It is located in Wolf Ranch Town Center tucked away in a corner. I arrived last to find everyone was seated in the outdoor covered patio. I ordered water and sweet tea, and started reviewing the menu. It's all country style food and zeroed in on the fried catfish. I had the option of just a basket with fries or a plate with fries and two sides. I ordered a plate. Our server was extremely nice and made sure my sweet tea was refilled on this warm day. We were provided with warm rolls and butter. The were very soft and tasty. The place is very nice next to a wild flower garden. After we all chatted to catch up on family matters our food started to arrive. Half were first served but the rest did come. My fried catfish looked and smelled good. I ordered macaroni & cheese and fried okra as my two sides. It was two big pieces of fish and tasted it. It was very good and cooked perfectly. With my tarter sauce I enjoyed my meal. The sides were good. The only drawback was the hush puppies were a bit small. The whole plate filled me up. After eating the restaurant let us hang around since they knew we were celebrating a college graduation. They even kept refilling our drinks. We had a superb time and the food was great. Thanks to the staff for everything! read more
