Excellent food and service. Everything is wonderful. We pove the turkey and dressing on Sundays. Ask for Braelyn as a server!!

Gave up trying to get a table the first time. Multiple people told us they would be right with us meanwhile ignoring us. Later attempts have been better. I like another similar place within a couple of miles better but their French fries have declined lately and Cotton Patch fries are better. Avoid this place around Thanksgiving, the get too crazy and it is impossible to get seated. read more

This place warrants 3 1/2 stars. It's perfectly okay, not great. Three of us went for lunch today at 11 (before it got busy). The service was very friendly but after our food was delivered we never saw the waitress again till she left the check. One person had the blackened tilapia lunch special, one had fish tacos and the other had meat loaf. We all rated the food 3 stars - or maybe 3 1/2. Totally unexpected fair of choices for your meal. Me and my co-worker were seriously surprised by the menu and the food here! Not what you expect at all, and I mean that in a good way. Pot roast was off the chain and my tea was great. He had the salad and love it. The atmosphere is comfortable and the service is great. I went here the other night with my family and omg the waitress was insanely slow! She was nice and everything but we all (the four of us) finished our drinks before our dinner arrived and she never came to fill it up until we were close to finishing our dinner! We kept asking about the dinner rolls but she kept saying that "oh it's still being made". I get if they made a fresh batch but she told us as soon as we sat down that the bread should be out shortly because a fresh batch is being made. And to top it all off we had a salad with a HUGE piece of hair in it. And it was buried in the salad and we told the manager and she offered a free dish but she wouldn't let us speak. They never cleared our dirty dishes, they just let them pile up. If I could give them "no stars" I would. :/ read more

We loved this place! Wonderful cornbread muffins and rolls and the meat loaf was fabulous. Garlic mashed potatoes were hunky and delicious and the broccoli was done perfectly. Just upset these restaurants don't appear much south of Dallas! San Antonio needs one! read more

I really like this location. Several months ago I came here when I had no place else to go and it was so comforting. It's one of those places that looking back on your experience you think, wow that was really good. Even though my personal food journal listed the chicken and dumplings as a do not get again. This time I ordered the chicken fried chicken and it was perfect. The garlic mashed potatoes are divine. And pros know that if you choose the cinnamon apples as your second side and save it for the end it becomes a little dessert. The Cotton Patch is a chain but this one really feels like a local joint. I've never seen a person in this restaurant with a scowl on their face. The seating area offers a lot of options for different sized groups, including small booths for two people. Everything is clean and the staff seem genuinely happy working there. I guess the best thing about the patch is their extensive menu which offers something for everybody. read more

Showed up with a party of 12 on a Monday night (when the chicken fried steak dinners are on special) and waited less than five minutes to be seated. The chicken fried steak was just as it should be: well battered, smothered in gravy, huge and artery clogging. The kids loved their corn dogs and mac and cheese. This is not my first trip to #CottonPatch, it is however my last. History: All orders placed online and paid in advance with 20% or more tips. 1. First time here for car side pick up went very well and there were no issues at all. 2. Second trip: A little slow, but hey places get busy and it's really not a big deal. Food was good again and order was correct. Delivery person was nice and all was good. 3. Third trip: Waited until the time I was told my order would be ready, I was called and told they had no cornbread and asked if I wanted something substituted. 15 minutes later I called them to make sure I put that days' date on the order. 15 minutes after THAT, my order was finally delivered. Overall 45 minutes from time of notification call that I was in the parking lot, to delivery. This is starting to be an issue. 4. Fourth trip: Placed order online at 3:30, for 4:15 pick up. Went to the store and got done faster than planned, went to pick up my food. Arrived 30 prior to my scheduled time. Told the girl this when I reported my arrival. She said "food would be out as soon as it was ready". No problem....yet. 30 minutes later at my original time slot, still no food. Called and asked how I can process a refund for my delivery they can't seem to get done. "Hold on, I'll ask my manger"....He answers and gives his name, I neither remember nor care what it was. Told him I want a refund ASAP, he then tells my my food is ready and he can bring it right out AND process the refund. I said NO, I want my refund and that is all. He agrees and I leave. My question is if it was ready, then why was it not delivered? Would you allow a customer to sit in your place for over a half hour without delivering their food? Should I trust you, and your staff to not tamper with my food at this point? I go directly behind to Picante' Taco, place and order when I walk in, pay, get my order, drive home, and start eating....ALL in LESS time than I spent at #NeverAgainCottonPatch That kid should find something he is really good at, and do it! He SUCKS at managing a restaurant. I have seen several reviews online saying the same and it is clear that #CottonPatch does not care enough about their customers to FIRE him. Southern food chain, so lots of fried food. Had a Cobb Salad with salmon, and it was decent. What really ruined our lunch was the Fox "News" regime propaganda channel right next to us, blaring out lies and nonsense. I mean, I understand that this is deep into redneck country but one would still expect management not to turn to such a controversial channel out of respect for more educated clientele traveling through Denison. Clean, busy, excellent server, mismanaged dining experience. Arrived on a Saturday night at 6. Kayla did excellent job taking our order. About the time we thought the food would be coming out, the manager approaches and says sold out of chicken and dumplings, a staple of this place sold out at 6 o'clock. I had to order something else, the manager comes back and says they are sold out of ribs. So while looking for something else she comes back and says they found ribs. Our server then comes over and tells us that chicken and dumplings were sold out. Apparently no communication. I received the ribs they were fair. I received a few sorties but the whole experience will make me try somewhere else before returning there. read more

Very decent restaurant for a chain. The salad was ice cold, the food was hot and well prepared, there was plenty of food on our plates. We had the chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken. Both were excellent. There was a great selection of sides - we were happy about that because we had spent a week of eating fried foods and were needing some broccoli and greens. We routinely go to the Cotton Patch closer to our house in McKinney, and I would say the service and food was significantly better than we are used to, and we love the Cotton Patch down there. The girls in the to-go area (we are at the bar) we're simply fantastic. The chicken fried steak was the worst I've ever had!!! The coating was about 75% of the order and it was fried so long it was stiff as a board. my wife had the maple chicken over rice and it was good. I asked 2 different servers to refill my drink and neither one did. read more

My wife called to place an order and had her speech made fun of. Horrible people. I am thinking about getting a lawyer.

We placed an order online and when we arrived to pick it up, only half the order was ready and the employee seemed lost and confused. He finally figured out what he was doing and we paid, but we had to wait on the other half of the order which was a chicken sandwich and fresh fruit. When it was ready, the employee even looked inside the carry out container and bagged it. Once back at the hotel we discovered the order was wrong. Instead of fruit they had put fries. So one order was wrong and the other was cold from sitting on the counter for so long. Won't be going there again. read more

the food is usually very good but do not order delivery or pick up! every single time they miss something. they forgot to add everything or they give you the wrong order. I called in a pick up order and was told 'be ready in 22 minutes'. got there 40 minutes later, was not ready. waited another 20 minutes, they finally brought it out, no' we are sorry for the delay' nothing, just handed it to me. got it home and they gave us chicken fried steak instead of chicken friend chicken. did not give a loaded backed potato as requested called was very polite could have been as simple as a replacement but no was told they would give butter and sides to do it myself. Let's start off with good things, the food was decent and warm. It took them almost an hour to get us at a table. Our waitress would leave and not come back with our things for long periods of time. We decided to eat here because it was right across the street from our hotel. We decided to have the house salad, the grilled salmon with vegetables, and the salmon and Cesar salad. The food was delicious and our waitress was very sweet. She even sad down and chatted with us for a few minutes. We certainly would eat here again! read more

I went to this restaurant at the recommendation of a friend. I am extremely disappointed. We went in, it was packed. There was an upfront waiting time of 30 minutes. By the time we finally received our check, the entire building had cleared out. That's how long it took. When we were finally seated, it took a good 15 minutes just for someone to take our order. It took another 10 just to get our drinks. The waitress warned us upfront that it was around a 30 minute wait time to get food. It took 20 minutes just to get our appetizer. It took an additional 30 just to get our dinner. Keep in mind, I ordered a grilled chicken Caesar salad. By the time we had finished our appetizer (some mediocre at best mozzarella sticks), our drinks were long gone. Did we get any refills in the time between appetizer and entree? No, no we did not. By the time we finally received our food, mine was TERRIBLE. There was a measly 4 pieces of cold grilled chicken on top (which cost an extra $5) and the entire salad was sopping wet. It was as if they had just rinsed the lettuce and hadn't spun it out. It was absolutely horrendous. There was what seemed to be like one tablespoon of Caesar dressing on this sopping excuse of a salad. I ate only the sad chicken out of the mess of wet lettuce. After I finished with the chicken, we received our first and only refills of our drinks. We both had peach teas. The first batch was fine, however they ran of syrup for the refills which made them unsweet and nasty. After we both finished our meals, we asked for the check. It took 15 minutes just to get the check. Keep in mind the entire restaurant had cleared out at this point. There were only 3 tables filled. After giving the waitress cash for the check, she took 5 minutes just to get back with the change. Overall, the service was as bad as the food. We will certainly not be back. read more
