Came here instead of ihop only to find out they don't serve breakfast. Was in a taste for pancakes or waffles. But I stayed and got some fried catfish and fries. With hush puppies and blackberry tea. Was pretty good. The peach cobbler needed some help tho to be honest.

I had a BOGO order from Ubereats with this restaurant. It was a chicken fried chicken with gravy, green beans, baked potato loaded and rolls. I enjoyed the meal and had one for the next day. I had no issues with my order or delivery driver. I would definitely order from here again and get a dessert next time.

This is my first time at Cotton patch. I was on my way to the airport in Dallas just and I wanted something that wasn't barbecue and this actually hit the spot. When you walk in the ambiance is real cool. They had TVs at the bar. You can watch the game which was a full service bar by the way and then had plenty of seating. The staff was nice in the greeted me when I walked in and immediately took my order. I ordered the chicken fried steak with a side of green beans and smothered potatoes before my meal came and brought me some fresh bread and butter which was delicious. The chicken fried steak was perfect. It was fried hard like I like and flavorful and the potatoes were delicious. Also the green beans we're actually good because they had pieces of bacon in them which is always a win. I definitely with tried them again because they hit the spot for me when I needed it. It made my flight enjoyable

We arrived on a rainy evening and the place wasn't that busy (note that they have daily specials and it was steak night) so I was hopeful for a casual dinner. We were seated and the beginning of our experience was frustrating to say the least. However I will say that Kayla and Caleb came through and made this a pleasurable experience. If you are diabetic, as I am, note that you might want to ask for a glass of water for the strawberry lemonade. Although it was good, it was super sweet. So note that their side salad isn't your usual salad, it comes with onions and bell peppers. For a side salad it's a good portion. I also ordered the grilled pork chops (which are always good) with green beans that came with apples. The country friend steak wasn't a favorite as just was just meh. The shrimp seem like they get them pre breaded and frozen and then deep fry them. As much as I love fried green tomatoes, these needed to be seasoned and I'm use to it having a remoulade however here you get ranch dressing. The Texas fries were okay, I felt like the fries needed to be cooked a little harder to stand up to the items being put on them so they don't become soggy. The savior is the gooey cheesecake - it wasn't overly sweet and I would get this again to go. So if you make a trip, I encourage you to ask to sit in Kayla's section. She seriously took care of us and made the evening a pleasurable one.

My first issue is that when you order online they don't give you the option to tip they automatically take a tip so unless you're aware of that when you get ready to check out you don't realize it till it's too late I don't tip hourly employees. Second of all not only did they get a tip but I had to ask for plasticware I had to ask for rolls which automatically comes with your meal. So now I've tipped for what bad servicing again. Then after getting home and seeing my meal I paid for a dinner size steak but got the lunch portion.

I place a pickup order at 8:15 pm that said it would be ready at 8:35 pm. I arrived at 8:35 pm but it was not ready. I sat down and finally got my order at 9:10 pm after watching my order hanging up there and be skipped. The staff was not friendly and then gave me 2 rolls for 3 entrees. I even tipped them 18% on the app when I placed the order. After looking at the receipt they provided with the bag of food that does not show my tip and the receipt from my app that does show my tip, I am wondering if the staff thought I did not tip. I witnessed one of the employee's asking a delivery driver if someone else tipped. He showed the black lady employee his phone and I heard her say "Oh that person orders all the time but we never see if they tip" which seems like she wanted to know if the orders had tipped. She never helped me but said something to the younger girl that was putting out most to go orders. There were a lot of employees in the store with only one table of people actually eating inside. All the other orders were to go and only the one girl was putting out to go orders. All other employees were mainly standing around and not helping with the orders. If a manager see this review and you have cameras, please take a look at what your employees are doing. We come here usually at least once a month and while the staff is never really friendly at this location this is the first time it's been this bad. The tip not showing on what they are looking at could explain how unfriendly they are because we always place our orders on the app. I am adding pictures of the receipt that came with the food and my receipt from the app. Ei

Great Sunday after-church stop off. You can get in and out even on "busy" days because the staff is attentive and gets your food out pretty quickly. Very causal and laid back. You're not gonna impress with aesthetics, but you will in food quality and quantity. Wear your sweat pants here, not your heels.

I'm pretty sure they should've chopped this part off.

Who likes soft soggy fried okra? I ordered fried okra and asked for it to be a little extra crunchy, but it came out soggy. That is why I asked who likes it that way?

I honestly don't know of anyone who likes soggy fried okra? I am from Texas and Fried means Fried. Maybe you need boiled okra instead ?

Decided to go here for lunch since it wasn't that far from me. Definitely a hole in the wall GEM. So many specials and the prices are very reasonable from breakfast-lunch-dinner. They start you off with chips, queso and salsa. One of my first times seeing 'queso' as a dish along with salsa. Usually it's an extra charge. I had the mango margarita which was pretty good! Happy Hour is from 2-10p Monday-Thursday, and lunch specials are served ALL DAY! I had the Tuesday special which was Trio Fajitas (beef, shrimp, chicken) with beans and rice - only $14.75. The meat was very flavorful but wasn't a big fan of the refried beans. Plenty of food, especially for the price. The staff was kind, explained the specials without asking and gave their suggestions. I'm surprised this place isn't as packed with the prices they advertise. A quiet establishment during lunch hour. I will definitely be coming back.

The smoke from the kitchen basically consumed the dining area and was very irritating. It eventually dissipated after a while, but I wouldn't recommend infants in this environment. After our party was seated, it took 15-20 min before our waiter greeted us and provided water; that was a bit annoying. After we got our orders in, things were smooth sailing from there. We were a large party and our waiter did a pretty good job at managing us and all of our requests. Food: they do not waste time bringing the food out. Most of our orders came out within 10 minutes! I ordered the Short Rib (unfortunately not pictured). It was hot, tender, and seasoned well....very good. It came on a bed of rice and some type of sauce. I was not a fan of either. The rice seemed uncooked and the sauce was too much and very liquid. It drowned the rice and practically made it soupy. I would have been fine with just the short rib. I also ordered a side of black eyed peas... also not a fan. It was undercooked and I didn't love whatever seasoning was used to prepare it. Other items I tried: Fries, Cornbread, Yams, and Soul Rolls. These were all tasty, specifically the soul roll. It came out crispy, hot, and stuff proportionately. I could take every bit of what was inside. It's definitely a must try.

The menu prices could be adjusted downward but it was a nice experience. I'd recommend if you're in the mood for soul food. The sweet potato cornbread was the best!

Approached our table and took our order as if she was dealing with her annoying little brother and his friends. Odd, considering we were all quite friendly and very chipper. The cheese sticks were good, but becs of their twisty shape, they separated and broke easily. Pleasing to look at, a pain to eat. We were not offered any fries while we waited. The fries that came with my meal were not hot and fresh and limp, tbh. I had to ask for some of their Campfire dipping sauce, which is automatically provided at my store location in San Antonio. The drink refill I requested MULTIPLE times did not come and dice we were winding down, I asked our server if she could please just make it to go. She seemed surprised it didn't come to me and promised to bring one to-go for. My plight and our server's shortcomings became the joke of the night! Our meal ended, the table emptied and I sat there alone determined to get my drink and can you guess I had to ask AGAIN?! She apologized and I stood near the kitchen to make sure I walked out of there with cup in hand. Ughhh. Not a good experience.
