Heard there was a new coffee shop that opened in Markville beside Best Buy area so had to check it out. I came around March 2025, so just after all their hype and buzz from their grand opening. Ordered from the kiosk just fine and the waited probably around 15-20 minutes for my drink. The store is not nicely lit, was a bit dim and was the first thing that I noticed when I was standing in there waiting for my drink. Got the orange juice americano and it wasn't anything special. Could taste the blend of the coffee and orange juice together. I probably wouldn't order it again though. However, I am very intrigued with the rest of their menu as some of their drinks sound refreshing and up my alley.

This was the grand opening weekend. The lineups were crazy and the staff was not trained properly in any way for this day The staff were rude and uninformed. There was no distinguished shift lead/ manager to sort things out. The self serve kiosk was not working along with an app that needs some better testing before deploying to production The food was meh and mainly automated with very little the barista needs to do. The shop has no seating and no orderly lineup process to manage the lines. I would not return as I see no value in their products with many others to select from with much better customer service and craftsmanship to enjoy

Heard a lot about Cotti Coffee because they've opened a number of stores in the GTA recently, so I was curious to check it out. Overall, my rating is based on the taste of the drinks I purchased, my opinion on the menu, this particular store's service. I tried their Iced Americano with regular milk and their iced toffee hazelnut latte. Unfortunately, I couldn't taste much of the coffee in either one - not sure if the espresso was really mild, or if it was too watered down by the drink ingredients. The flavours didn't stand out, and while the drinks on the menu looked interesting, there wasn't anything that really caught my eye (sparkling flavoured drinks + espresso didn't appeal to me). This could be personal preference, as I don't always like unique flavour combos with coffee drinks. I also didn't realize many of their popular drinks used coconut milk, which I'm not a fan of :( The staff were quite busy, so the only way to order was via a single touchscreen kiosk (unless you ordered through an app). For my first visit, I would've appreciated being able to ask about their drinks because maybe I would've liked some of their other items more!

Overall pretty good coffee shop. Been there couple of times and tried a couple of different coffee drinks. They really have a lot of different flavors and you'll for sure find something that you like. If you download their app and sign up, you can get your first drink for only $0.99 which is crazy. Then you also get 4 30% off coupons after that. I always try to order online and get their coupons. So I recommend you do the same, so much more worth it. They also tend to have a long line in person so it's better to order ahead. The shop is small though with no seating so it definitely is a pick up and go coffee shop.

First time trying Cotti coffee. I did attempt to order it one time when I doing running errands at the mall, but the line was so long on a Saturday, that I just left, as I had no patience to wait that day. I had errands to run at Markville today, and decided to try my luck again as it was very early in the morning, and needed a pick me up. I ordered from their machine and got myself an oat milk matcha latte. First sip, I was pretty surprised. I'm usually not an oat milk fan, but the drink was nutty and creamy with a hint of matcha. Worth coming again if there's no line up.

It's kinda chaotic while they're new - I gotta admit lol but the drinks are okay. They don't allow you to adjust how much ice which is not ideal for me. It's a lot and kinda watering down the drinks a bit. Their drinks are very creamy so take that into consideration if you don't like super creamy drinks. I got the matcha latte, nothing special, as expected. And the coco americano which was like a cold brew with coconut water which my husband said was interesting. If you're really into coffee, this isn't like super special. It's like "bubble tea coffee". Woth a try during their promo for sure! Would I come back? Sure but not full price or if the wait is too long. I came on their grand opening day, it was a Friday 5:30 pm and there was not much of a line to order, just to get your drinks. I still got my two drinks within 10 mins which is not bad at all. I know there are so many bad reviews about the wait time. I would highly recommend to order on their app /online ordering system anyway because you also get exclusive coupons. And yes, Grand opening promos are available on the app, no limit per person. The app will also tell you a rough wait time.

New place at CF Markville Mall. Recent hordes of people lurking inside and outside of this Cotti Coffee. Seemed disorganized. Someone should've been standing at the entrance/exit and directing people to where to order (self-serve touch large monitor to the left of the shop at the entrance) or let people know that they can order on their cellular via scanning the QR code on a sign at the front of the shop. Warning: It's about a HALF AN HOUR to AN HOUR wait just for your order. There is signage at the counter warning about the wait, due to the demand because they're fairly new. Note that there's only 4-5 employees working non-stop behind the counter. Was it worth the wait? Not really. The taste of the drinks were meh. One of our drinks was supposed to be a mango latte, and there was hardly any mango taste. Just traces of mango purée at the bottom. IMO, save your dollars and save YOUR TIME and go around the corner to Starbucks.

Over an hour for 2 drinks is crazy! I went during its opening weekend while drinks were 20% off and coffees were $1. So it was understandable why they were so behind. Customer service was nice, handing out waters for people waiting. Drinks were delicious, especially the matcha latte. They do have interesting flavours like the orange americano that I'd like to try next time. Nice little spot to grab a drink during your day at the mall. 2.6/5

Happy that they opened one up in this mall located at the entrance near Best Buy. This was my second time trying Cotti Coffee. They are having a grand opening promo and at the same time if you order online you can get the first drink any drink for $0.99 which is amazing! Picked up 3 drinks, a large matcha coconut latte, a mango coconut frappe and a mango pomelo delight. All was very flavorful, loved the coconut taste. The wait for the drinks was insanely long, it took a total of about 1 hr and 15 mins to get all 3 drinks. They were extremely busy with many orders. I'm guessing it's also because it's weekend and grand opening promo. One of the girls working there kept apologizing for the long wait, she was very nice. Would definitely come back to try out their other drinks.

December 10, 2025 - Iced Grapefruit Sparkling Cold Brew

December 10, 2025 - My friend bought me his favourite drink from Cotti Coffee. He ordered Iced Grapefruit Sparkling Cold Brew w/No Extra Sugar. It was my first time trying it. I'm not a coffee drinker but I really liked this drink. The grapefruit tasted so good with the coffee. Also we had this really late almost 8pm. So I didn't drink much. I let it for the next day and it still tasted very good.

So exciting to see new drink places in Markville. When approaching the store, there was a long line of people waiting and seems like staff was not attending to the till. There was a huge sign that says to scan to order so I used that for mobile ordering. They were having an opening deal for matcha drinks for 3 dollars. Since I created a mobile account, I got a matcha latte for 1 dollar. Since they were so busy, it took about 20 minutes to get my drink. Despite specifying 50% sugar, the drink was quite sweet. I can't imagine what it'll be like with full sugar, probably would not be able to drink the whole thing. The matcha colour was quite vibrant and overall a good drink. Catch the opening deals while you can. Their baked goods also looked amazing with decent prices. Will definitely check those out next time.

Service was superb with very friendly servers - so friendly that even my toddler with stranger anxiety liked them and engaged with them! Atmosphere and view were great since it was sitting on Toogood Pond. Inside was really cute too. Tables, chairs, and even the booster were clean. Zero complaints! The only thing is the washroom is the public park washroom so it's not the prettiest and cleanest; there were some bugs and some smell. In terms of the menu, there aren't a lot of choices for pasta but it makes sense since it is a bistro. Ordered the Mortadella & Burrata and Tagliatelle al Ragu. Both were really delicious and the pasta tasted fresh even though we don't know if it's fresh pasta. Had a really good experience here and would definitely come back! La Fonte sits on one of the most enviable pieces of restaurant real estate in Unionville. Perched beside Toogood Pond, with a patio facing west, it offers the kind of sunset view that would make a mediocre sandwich taste profound. If you're taking an evening stroll around the pond, there is essentially one place to stop, sit, sip a cappuccino, and watch the day disappear. La Fonte knows this. And perhaps that's the problem. On a cool evening, we approached the mostly empty patio with modest ambitions. No elaborate dinner. No special requests. Just coffee, a couple of treats, and a front-row seat to one of the best sunsets in Markham. The greeting? "Do you have a reservation?" No. Reasonable question. What followed was less reasonable. Instead of the traditional hospitality playbook--"Welcome, let me see what I can do"--we were informed they were busy - did I mention the empty patio? And immediately questioned about whether we intended to order food - what does what we intend to order matter if a seat can be made available? We did say we would like a seat on the deck/patio. We explained that it was our first visit and, not being blessed with psychic powers, we had no idea what they served. Snarky attitude in check - with pleasantries exiting the oral interface. A menu was handed to us and we were instructed to step aside and review it. Step aside....???!!!??? As if there were crowds of eager diners stacked ten deep behind us... There was nobody. Not a single soul waiting for a table. No line. No rush. No visible crisis requiring crowd-control measures. Just an oddly defensive interaction taking place on a mostly empty patio overlooking a beautiful pond. The conversation somehow became more absurd from there. Every answer seemed to generate another hurdle, another question, another subtle suggestion that perhaps our presence was creating administrative difficulties. Eventually, we did what any rational person does when hospitality turns into a bureaucratic exercise: we left. The funny part came later. Walking around to the opposite side of Toogood Pond, we could clearly see people casually strolling onto the patio and taking seats. No interrogation. No menu review committee. No apparent examination of intent. Just people walking on past the gatekeeper and sitting down. Which naturally raises the question: Is the secret to dining at La Fonte simply to ignore the front-of-house operation altogether? Not that we'd ever do that. Most of us were raised to believe civility matters. You wait to be seated. You speak politely. You respect the establishment's process. But La Fonte provided a fascinating case study in how that social contract can break down. Because when courtesy is met with indifference, and curiosity is met with suspicion, one begins to wonder whether good manners are simply putting oneself at a competitive disadvantage. The tragedy is that none of this has anything to do with the food. The kitchen may be wonderful. The coffee may be excellent. The patio is unquestionably spectacular. The problem is that the first course served at any restaurant isn't food. It's hospitality. Perhaps what seems to be nepotism at the gates is not the best hiring practice. And on this evening, La Fonte managed to take one of the most beautiful dining locations in Unionville and make it feel strangely unwelcome. That's a remarkable achievement, though probably not the one they were aiming for. Carpe diem, indeed. Just don't expect anyone at the front door to help you seize it. JEERS!!!

That level of care really comes through in the cup; you can taste the depth and intentionality in every sip. I ordered the vanilla bean iced latte, and it was easily one of the best espresso bases I've had in a while. The shot itself was rich and layered: deep, chocolatey, and nutty striking a really nice balance between bitterness and acidity. It finished with a smooth, almost creamy note that made the whole drink incredibly enjoyable. The only downside is the size-to-price ratio. At around CAD $8.50 for what felt like a 10 oz drink, it's definitely on the pricier side for something that goes down this easily. Still, I'd absolutely come back when I'm in the mood for a more premium coffee experience. (Funny note - the barista and I had a small rant together about how people order "iced cappuccino" and macchiato expecting Starbucks milk sugary drink instead of the "proper" shot with dollop of foam. I understand their pain hahah)

My cousin and I arrived shortly after opening on New Year's Eve. The cafe has a small interior with minimal seating, mostly bench seating along the wall with small round coffee tables. Even though there was only one barista working that morning, she was efficient at taking orders and making drinks despite several orders happening at once. We did not feel like we were waiting very long. I ordered a pour-over with the Finca El Paraiso Peach Colombian beans, which use a thermal shock washed process. That was something I had not heard of before. The tasting notes listed nectarine, tropical fruit, and caramel, and it was recommended since I was looking for something more out of the ordinary. I enjoyed the wilder flavor profile, but it was hard to fully appreciate because the coffee tasted overly diluted. The barista mentioned she used a 15g to 250g bean-to-water ratio, which is higher than how I normally enjoy my pour-overs. My cousin ordered a flat white with whole milk that was very creamy with strong espresso notes. We also ordered a matcha latte for my other cousin, which was apparently too creamy. Overall, the beans themselves were good, but the pour-over leaned watery for my personal preference. The bag of beans used for the pour-over was priced at $32, which is only a bit more than double the cost of the pour-over itself. In hindsight, I felt slightly ripped off and should have just bought the beans instead.

I bought a couple of buns as a customer since then and I'm hooked! Bun Appetit is located at Commerce Gate. It's located closer to Highway 7. It's around the corner from Kinton Ramen, which I have been to a handful of times during the pandemic to pick up good eats. I found a parking spot steps away from Bun Appetit on a Wednesday evening at around 6:15 pm and backed in to it. It's easier to find parking when it's a weekday, in the afternoon. Bun Appetit's breads are naturally fermented for 168 hours. I liked that all buns and breads are gut-friendly and low on the glycemic index. I'm always interested in lower sugar options. I have sampled these items: - Baguette - Whole wheat walnut vegan bun - Lychee bun - Raisin earl grey bun - Oreo chocolate delight bun - Matcha pistachio pretzel - Whole wheat German pretzel - Yeast loaf with Nutella They were all delicious. They were soft and airy. My favourites were the whole wheat walnut vegan bun and the Oreo chocolate delight bun (also known as the messy hands bun). The former had whole walnuts that were so crunchy and fresh. The bread was chewy and soft. The messy hands bun used dark chocolate. It was also fluffy and soft. It lived up to its name. I had messy fingers just eating a morsel! It has 9 g of sugar, which is practically nothing being fermented. I liked how unique the flavours were. I loved the smell of the lychee bun. I wish it had lychee pieces in it. Instead, it was wine-infused and that flavour overpowered everything. I loved the yeast loaf with Nutella as a dessert option. I nearly picked up a loaf after this event was over! As a parting snack, I got the truffle mushroom one. It was the last one. I love mushrooms. It was super delicious with truffle oil, enoki mushrooms, spinach, garlic, and melted cheeses on top. The bun was soft and perfect. It was such a gourmet bun. I have since returned to get more buns: - Strawberry beetroot - Chocolate arancia The strawberry beetroot bun was fluffy. I decided to cut it in half. To my surprise and joy, it had whole strawberries in it. Wow and yay! I love fruit, but I wasn't expecting so much of it in this bun. I loved it. It was naturally sweet from the strawberries. The beetroot wasn't noticeable in flavour. I feel it added colour to the triangular bun more than anything. The chocolate arancia was equally as unique slicing it in half. This bun had candied orange bits in it. It tasted so good with the chocolate morsels on top and the subtle chocolate flavour in the bun itself. It was delicious. I need to return for more. I have found the buns of my dreams, which sounds odd and funny. It's all true! I paid with a credit card. You can register your phone number to collect points towards goodies. I'll be back. (185)
