Didn't get any work done because the guy at the counter was so rude. Hopefully you catch him on a better day.

Horrible service - dispatcher scheduled the wrong day and we've had 3 no-shows since. Will not be calling this company again!

Cothrun's cut one of my keys too deeply and it didn't work. I brought it back and they remade the key without charge.

Replaced a car key remote for about 40% of the cost the dealership quoted. Friendly staff, in & out pretty fast too.

UPDATE: After two days of no shows, AK (the supervisor) gave me a call on Thursday evening at 8pm…read more He said he was unaware of what was happening and just found out. The dispatch guy who spoke to me that morning said he had escalated my call to the supervisor. Either way, I am thankful it finally got to him and contacted me. He was very nice and said someone would be out the next day for sure. Cue came Friday afternoon and did some repairs. He was kind as well, and seemed to know what he was doing. I am glad to have my garage door working properly again. It was super frustrating to get someone on the line and to show up, but once they did, the job was completed. Thank you I do NOT recommend- they don't appreciate the business. Take yours elsewhere. We originally contacted this company to repair our garage system in September 2023. It is now May 2024 and we have been having issues for weeks now. I reached out the company days ago and scheduled for someone to come Tuesday between 9-11am. Someone from the office called at 11:15 asking if the repairman had shown up. I told him no which then he replied with "oh, well there was an accident so he won't be coming". I thought this was pretty comical as the only other time we used them back in September, we were told there was an accident when the guy didn't show up that day either. I'm unsure if this is just their go to excuse, or if everyone there is a walking hazard. Anyway, they rescheduled for 4pm later that day, again no show and no call from anyone. I reached out multiple times and left voicemails that night. Wednesday comes and goes with myself reaching out multiple times and STILL NO response. This company has been horrible to deal with and clearly doesn't have time for any more on their plate. They also could have potentially sold and installed a defective product and won't come look at it now as it is within the warranty time. Pretty sketchy in my opinion. Save yourself the headache and money and go somewhere else.

Completely overpriced for the service. I'm incredibly bad about locking my keys in my car. In…read morefact, I have locked myself out 3 times in the last year alone, so I think I'm well acquainted with car-unlocking services in Austin. Previously I'd used pop-a-lock, which is in the ball park of $50, and a taxi driver, who charged $35. I only ended up using Austin Locksmith because pop-a-lock's number was busy and I was using my neighbor's mobile phone to call a locksmith -- she got the number for Austin Locksmith, so I didn't have much choice. Austin locksmith charges $80, their service cars are unmarked, their service people don't show ID, and I can't find out what their $15 "service call" fee is based on. When *wouldn't* you have to call them to use their services? To be fair --The dude at Austin locksmith said that their services are safer for your car than pop-a-lock, BUT he used the exact same method of opening my door as they had. He also said that their services are covered by full coverage car insurance, but I don't have full coverage insurance and told the service guy that. He wouldn't give me a discount. I should have called AAA, but the last time I did, the guy showed up after two hours and had forgotten his jimmy rod. Erg. Hopefully I won't need to unlock my car again, but if I do, I'm definitely not calling these guys.

I was also quoted a 29.99 service fee plus labor. When the tech got there (late) we had a strange conversation. He wanted to make sure they hadn't quoted me a price. When I told them I hadn't heard a price he said, "Good". Then he cut off one of the locks and told me it was going to be $125, with the $49.99 service fee. I explained I was told it was a $29.99 fee and he said, "oh, yeah yeah but it is still $125. I was shocked. That meant their labor rate was $380/hr since he was there for about 15 minutes. He acted upset when I said I couldn't pay him in cash and that I would have to use a credit card. He them pressured me to go to an ATM and get money out but I refused. Things started feeling very shady. I called Austin Locksmith the next day to let them know since he was an independent contractor. I felt like he was pocketing the extra money and thought they would want to know. I talked to Patty. I ended up having to call them 6 times. Every time she promised me she would call back and days later, each time, I never heard back from her. Each time I also had to remind her of my story and a couple of times she even said, "So, what do you want us to do?" They eventually refunded $20 which I only knew about when I checked my statement. I was appalled at their lack of care and customer service. I definitely got ripped off.

Her husband contacted Key me. It took a bit for Key me to call them back. Key me stated it would be 45 minutes - It was over an hour wait. It was 105F degrees outside. Once there it took a while for the locksmith to get out of the car because he was on the phone. Then he asked me for my ID - I said it was locked in the house. He asked me several times for my ID and several times I said it is in the house. He looked at the lock and said it would be $189. I said go ahead. I needed to get in. He came back with a written receipt totalling way over $500. I was shocked and that made me very angry. I said are you kidding me? Again - I had no choice. There were pets inside and it was very hot. I made it very clear I was not pleased at all. He got the lock off and the door open. He quoted another price to put on a new deadbolt. I said no. I asked him if he was going to put the old deadbolt back on . He quoted $85 to put the old one back on (refreshment on the receipt). I got even madder. I said do it because I can't have a big hole in the door. It was ridiculous. He put it back on then told me there would be a 3% charge for using a credit card. At that point I just wanted him gone and the bill was up to $621.27. He left - I cried because I can not afford that and neither can my daughter. I felt taken advantage of - a 69 yr old woman stuck out in horrible heat with no choice but to pay the bill or never get in. I had already waited over two hours to get in. I did not want to start over by calling someone else.Your company should be ashamed for treating people this way in an emergency. Next time I will break a window before calling you. $242.59 for mileage? Are you kidding me? From Pflugerville to Hutto? Ridiculous. Then they call me to "resolve this issue" after complaining and tell me they can not give me any money back because I signed the reciept (which I had to do or they would not get me in). So Thank you for nothing. It will be cheaper for you to break a window then call them
