I wrote it on the receipt. I came on Dec. 26, 2023 with the receipt and both cards. I stood in a line for 40 minutes. Two separate managers told me "if you don't have the items, you can't switch to another form of payment" and "we don't have a manager by that name." I even told them I couldn't get here sooner before I gave the gift because I was accompanying my wife who was in the hospital for weeks on end. They said, "That's our policy." Every other store just asks for your social security number if you don't have your card and this allows you to make a purchase with your store credit card.  I strongly recommend not shopping at TJ Maxx on Middlesex Avenue in Somerville.

The bakery…read moreis located in the far back right corner and they have a form and a binder full of inspiration for ways you can customize your cake. I filled out the form, where it asked you things like what color font, what color trim, when do you need the cake to be ready by, what do you want written on the cake, etc. It's helpful because the different cake sizes and flavor combinations are clearly labeled. My cake was for a birthday party so I went with the larger sheet cake option. Once I filled out the form, I spoke with the baker who was decorating cakes behind the counter, and confirmed with her that I'd like to have the cake ready for pick up the next day at 4pm. So easy. The cake was ready at my pick up time, exactly how I described, and it was delicious! So fresh.

The store is large, well-organized, and brightly lit. There is a much larger men's' section than you would often see, and they have a really large selection of self-care products. There are usually enough employees working that the line moves quickly, which is nice. I hope this TJ Maxx stays here forever!

Just like this recent time I went shopping. Like, how do you make up a price with zero similar comparison. I tried to buy an item I really like, but no match. Presented it to cashier who gave it to manger. I waited because I was really excited about it. The store clerk brought other items to the manager, completely unrelated in brand, fashion, or aesthetic. The manager proceeded to tell me it's a two 2 piece, but since there was only one piece, they'll sell it separately; the borrows costs more than the top. I was fine with that, until they tried to charge me full price for a clearance item...and she would t budge. Not the first time this store staff has cheated me with randomness in pricing items without a price tag How do you arbitrarily assign a new price from u related garments...! Anyway, I didn't take it, sadly
