I love Costco so much! I like to think it's like a mini vacation when I come here without my kids. Even though it's definitely fun to come with them too! They have the best products, good quality and always something new to find!

It's been almost two months. Miss Costco!

I've been shopping at this Costco for a year now. They really do have a great selection, and the staff treat customers really well. This was the first time I visited in almost two months. Items are well stocked, and this location is enforcing face mask requirement for entrance into the facility. For the first time, all berries in the freezer section have organic options! Generally people here maintain a six foot distance and are mindful of space. Plexiglass windows have been installed at each register for our safety. You won't be able to dine in but can still order your favorites at the Costco dining. Polish hotdog is still not back, but the pizza still rocks!

Before I move forward in this review, I would like to publicly announce that I am a faithful Costco membership holder. I am honored to be part of a community of grocery shoppers who demand nothing but excellence from their local grocer- and Costco has never failed me. That is, until I tried the abomination of all processed protein bars, Costco's own, "Kirkland Signature Protein Bar." The box I purchased came with two very enticing flavors, cookies and creme and chocolate peanut butter chunk. Such flavors, coupled with 21 grams of protein are undeniable for a college-aged post-adolescent like myself. Perhaps my expectations of perfection are presumptuous, and I understand if little mistakes are made here and there. Let me tell you, this is no slight mistake. This protein bar has the taste of what I'd imagine fecal matter tastes like, followed by the repulsive aftertaste of chemicals and utter disappointment. I have no clue how or why Costco would ever put their stamp of approval on a product like this. I tasted the first bar and was frightened by the thought that my taste buds may have been tainted, perhaps due to the contraction of the COVID-19 virus. Rest assured, I did not have the virus. I made it through one and a quarter bites and couldn't take anymore. I was sick to my stomach-perhaps due to a combination of the flavor and my disgust in whoever gave the OK to put this product on the shelves. After a few weeks, I mustered up the courage to try the second flavor of this protein bar, chocolate peanut butter chunk. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, can't put the blame on you. Disappointed, disgusted, and disheartened yet again. This is a plead from a loyal Costco customer... PLEASE TAKE THIS PRODUCT AWAY FROM THE PEOPLE. I am saddened by the thought of another person like me being deceived by the enticing packaging and the good name of the Kirkland Signature brand, resulting in the purchase of the worst protein bar known to man. I will raise this review to 5/5 as soon as it is confirmed to me that these protein bars are removed from the shelves at the Costco-Orem location.

**This review is for the Costco Food Court** I was feeling a little hungry after making my rounds around Costco today. I decided to hit up the food court for a slice of Pizza and a drink. This was my first time eating at the Orem location and while the food was great, the service was far from the exceptional service I am used to at other locations. There was a dozen employees and a massive amount of people waiting for their food. No one seemed to know how to expedite the orders or who even ordered what for that matter. After waiting quite a while I was asked for the third time what I was waiting for and they then promptly figured out how to get me what I needed. The seating at this location is a joke. It is a very busy store and seems to have the least amount of seating out of all Costco's I have been to. The food did end up being good, as expected and loved from the food court there. Hopefully next will be a little better experience.

I want to be a…read morebaby and mention that I was into them long before it was cool, but admittedly, have ramped up my hobby, and am currently 100+ plants in, on the way to turning my entire house into a jungle. For the last few months, I have heard mention of Planted Earth Floral from various members of a plant group in which I participate. The "Floral" really throws you off, as I would assume they are a florist, rather than a mostly-antiques-with-a-side-of-houseplants-shop. When I heard they had some long sought String of Turtles in stock, I made the drive down to Orem. They are located right off State Street, in a beautiful Victorian brick house. The facade is cluttered with décor: signage, furniture, garden statues, and other large decorations. The interior arrangement of goods matches that, but it is in the charming way where you never quite know what you will discover. When I walked in, a gentleman was at the front desk looking at his phone. He looked at me, more than once, but without a smile or any sort of greeting. Thus, it felt awkward looking at the goodies in that immediate area (and there was a doozy of a jewelry collection). I wandered through the rest of the store noting lots of great stuff: Victorian fur coats (and plenty of other vintage clothing), candy colored depression glass, beautiful pottery, prints, and all the staples one would hope to find, but I was on a mission, and only gave it a cursory glance. Plants are housed in a little greenhouse, and it is not a particularly large area, but they have some real treasures! Many common plants, but plenty that feel more special, like the aforementioned String of Turtles, Prince of Orange and Birkin Philodendrons, several varieties of Alocasias (even trendy Black Velvet!), Calatheas, etc. Many sizes, in hanging and standard pots, macramé hangers, etc. I was very pleased, and tempted by many, but only have so much space, so forced myself to stick with the plant for which I visited. Prices are comparable to other area nurseries, and I think the same could be said for their antiques. When I paid for my purchase, the same gentleman who had been at the front when I arrived assisted me, and he was as nice as could be! He shared care tips for my baby, and told me about the little tree frog they have living in their terrarium. So don't be put off if your encounter initially feels unfriendly. So far, my SOT is living the good life in a terrarium I crafted at the store owner's recommendation, and he seems happy as can be. Planted Earth is an excellent option for a lesser-known nursery that just might surprise you with your wish list plant.

A misleading ad about a ski package led me order it. The description was of skis and bindings and…read moreall the pictures showed the bindings mounted on the skis. There was one package price listed. I ordered them as such. I then received a shipping notification for the bindings with a separate price. I called immediately to cancel the order as I knew that having bindings mounted was not cheap. This was not what I budgeted for. I was told that everything was shipped, so the order could not be cancelled, but to call back when I received everything for an adjustment or to return the equipment. Btw, when ordering I was offered a 15% coupon, but then at checkout was told it didn't apply to my order. When I received the order, I checked with local ski shops and $100 was the lowest price I could find for mounting. I spent a half hour on the phone with a polite, understanding customer service rep inquiring about some type of credit. $25 was the offer. I pointed out how the ad was misleading, an offered coupon was not honored, and it would cost them more if I returned everything. I simply wanted at least half of the mounting cost reimbursed. The most frustrating aspect of this customer service interaction was that a supervisor will not get on the phone. The poor rep had to keep going back and forth. When she told me she could escalate the issue to a supervisor, I readily agreed, but she pointed out they would respond by email! THEY WILL NEVER GET ON THE PHONE AND SPEAK WITH SOMEONE!!! Sorry, that's horrible policy and I would discourage anyone from patronizing this business.

Beware when ordering ski boots as part of a package deal…read more Be sure of availability of sizes of ski boots with a package your purchase. I returned my boots and wanted to get the next size up. Since there were none available in my size, I received a refund (based on package pricing (about $80). If I want to get a larger size boot, I need to select another model/brand and pay the regular (non-package deal price), which means will need to spend approximately $200 more for a comparable boot, not including the $44 it cost to ship the first pair back. I do not recommend purchasing boots if you are not absolutely sure of the size you need. When I asked about the return, customer service said "We always recommend to go in and try different boots on before purchasing online". I was never given (nor saw online) this recommendation.
